Reviewed yesterday NEW

Friendly staff, room was large and the bed was very comfy. The carpet was very badly stained, needs a good clean. One down light kept going on and off, so needs to be looked at pronto. Pool area was clean, as were the grounds. location is good for the Marion shopping centre as well as Colonades.

Went as a group for breakfast. Very boring options of cereal, yogurt & fruit. No cooked breakfast on offer at this time. Very disappointing as a cooked breakfast is what you want sometimes when meeting with friends. Very old decor & rooms very tired & run down!! Needs a big overhaul

Stayed here for 2 nights and after an initial mix up with our booking enjoyed the winery's lovely setting and the option to eat at the onsite restaurant. Our room was large, a little outdated but we paid $210 for two nights which was a bargain compared to other options in the area or in McLaren Vale itself. Situated next...

We stayed for 7 nights (end of Dec 2016 - 3rd Jan 2017). It was great value for money, such a large room! We really enjoyed having that extra space and the block out curtains. Fairly quiet place (except for the functions), lovely gardens and views. The only housekeeper that worked new years day was amazing, such a lovely hard...

We went back to St. Francis Winery and stayed for two nights to celebrate our 6th Wedding Anniversary. We had the same room and it bought back so many memories as we watched a couple getting married in the garden. We were greeted with a bottle of bubbles to celebrate this wonderful occassion

The room was shocking, no windows would open to vent the stale smell. The bathroom tiles were broken and big gaps. Couldn't ever get the shower at a steady acceptable temperature. The TV was mounted on the wall at an angle you couldn't see from the bed, only from a very old single chair in front of it. The kettle...

I cannot understand some of the comments in previous reviews. ST Francis Winery is absolutely beautiful. It is picturesque and is a hidden paradise which somehow makes you feel like you've gotten away from the city for a while. The buildings are very attractive and the grounds exceptionally well kept. It is conveniently located close to shops and has pokies,...

Someone please tell the management how ridiculous it is to make all of the outside dining area for smokers only. Beautiful day, pity we cant eat outside as its not allowed! Havent tried the meal yet but the menu looks good if a bit old fashioned.

Thankyou very much for your recent visit to St Francis Winery. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us and we strive to improve with each and every guest visit. Unfortunately due to the new smoking laws, we are unable to have both outside smoking and dining in such a small area. We will certainly take your comments on board and...

This property could be so much better. It is a nice design that is fitting with an old winery. Perhaps their maintenance budget does not allow a repaint just yet, but there is no excuse for dirty rooms. A new manager may help as that is usually where the problem when lies.

Hi StoneyCairns, Thank you very much for your review of your recent stay at our hotel. I'm sorry to hear the rooms weren't up to standard & we have addressed this issue with our housekeeping staff. We hope you enjoyed the picturesque surroundings of St Francis and are pleased to say that we will be implementing some upgrades next year....

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and had everything we needed but could do with an upgrade. However, considering the price this place is very good value for money and situated in a lovely quiet area. Dinner was delicious and the dining room very nice. Although there was a Wedding on in a different area it did not impact...
