Great experience, The building made you feel part of Scotland past, the view of the Loch and the Munro's on the West Bank where breath taking. Friendly staff, sitting areas and dinning at the inn allowed us to meet and talk to people from other countries which was very enjoyable. The accommodations were well kept, clean and allowed a relaxing...

We had been to this hotel before (about 30 years ago) so it was a bit of a nostalgic visit. We stayed in room 22. The room was very large and had large windows overlooking the garden and loch - it was lovely sitting after dinner watching the wildlife - swallows doing their aerobatics, colourful woodpecker and a first ever...

We stayed here two nights and they were wonderful. The hotel is located right on the loch, the view from our room was amazing. The hotel staff were very attentative and quick to please. Breakfast was delicious and the drinks in the bar were reasonably priced. I would love to return for another stay.

My husband and I went to Knipoch Hotel a few weeks back for a birthday treat. Yes the views are beautiful and very peaceful, however we were rather disappointed with the hotel itself. I understand that it's not advertised as a modern style hotel etc but I found it rather dated. For the amount of money you pay (over £150)...

A beautiful hotel, with the most fantastic view to the front(esp if your room overlooks the loch.) The room was very comfortable, as was the bed. The staff very courteous and lovely. However, if like ourselves, you are choosing to stay in a 4 star hotel because you want lovely surroundings and food to match, then unfortunately the Knipoch Hotel...

Well to be honest I thought the pictures done the place justice because when you look at the pictures it looks minted..but apart from the Loch being out front and a old fashion house that's all this place is. When we arrived we were greeted with a lady who showed us to our room which was lovely.we also forgot a...

Visited many many years ago, on a road trip this weekend stopped off and they were doing a special deal on rooms - very relaxing - nothing is too much trouble. The views from the room over the loch are outstanding and lovely garden to walk around. The relaxing lounge in front of the fire in large sofas is splendid...

Back again to the Highlands for our annual visit and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The welcome, the food and the delightful 'old world' comfort makes this a very special stay. The staff go the extra mile and you feel like the only guest there, no request was too great. And still the best single malt collection I have ever...

I was travelling around Scotland with friends and we discovered the hotel by the use of Trip and thank goodness we did Everything about this place is quality, from the rooms, the service, the food, the ambiance all made for a pleasant night. Culminating in the fantastic Whisky bar for the end of evening relaxation.

I booked a room just hours prior to arrival after our ferry to Barra was cancelled due to bad weather. The hotel was just a short drive from the centre of Oban and really easy to find. We received a very warm welcome from the owner who booked us in and showed us to our lovely room - which was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestling beside Loch Feochan in Argyll, Scotland, lays Knipoch Hotel (pronounced neepoch -och as in loch). This four star country house hotel is privately owned and run by the Craig family. We opened Knipoch as a hotel in 1981 when the original building was refurbished with the reception, kitchen and bedroom wing being added.Prior to this it was our family home with a history. In 1592, Campbell, Thane of Cawdor was assassinated here at the "house of Knipoch in Lorne".In England as well as Scotland, hotels vary and individually owned hotels each have a personality.
