Although the ‘Pear’ has been open for business for quite some time, we’ve on,y paid our first visit today and had a lovely family meal. Staff were courteous and friendly, service (considering we’re still observing Covid guidelines) was really good. The menu is a bit limited and basic but the shared Camembert, and breaded mushrooms for starters got the ‘thumbs up’. Mains followed without too much time delay, was generously portioned and cooked to perfection (lamb shank, burger and rib eye respectively). The steak was beautiful and the lamb literally fell off the bone whilst the burger was tasty and filling - sadly we were all too full to order dessert. We will certainly return - thank you Paisley Pear for a lovely meal.

Superb! To break up a long journey we found this Inn just off the main road. Very cheap so wasn't expecting much. But.... The Staff were superb, food superb. Lovely outdoor seating area too. We stayed in the hotel and the room was .. Surprisingly... superb. Great value for money!

The booking in desk is in the pub. Very quick helpful registration. The room was immaculately clean. Very comfy double bed. We know the town and were visiting family so didn't actually eat in. We have eaten before and is good pub grub. Would stay again.

On arrival the door bell didn't work to alert staff someone was waiting but only a short wait he said something about distance but it was only a few minutes. It has very clean, modern rooms with comfy beds. A short walk across the carpark to the main pub for the evening meal and again greeted and seated and enjoyed my meal which they cant really get wrong as it is a Marstons.

First visit back to paisley pear since lockdown, disappointing really, popped in for lunch, pretty crap, burned onion rings, tasteless burger, burned fish, the only thing that was cooked properly was the chips, meals are quite expensive but I don’t mind really if they are cooked to perfection, how can a chef not get onion rings and fish cooked properly,aw well we won’t be going back, sorry paisley pear you will not be getting anymore of my hard earned cash again,so glad we never went for the steak, couldn’t imagine what that would have came out like,.
