We stayed in the Rouge room, suppose to be romantic, but not for us. The door did not have a handle so shutting the door when going out we had to put our finger in the lock to close it, it wasn’t easy, every other room had a handle so I’m guessing they hadn’t got to our room yet. There was a horrid piece of net curtain hanging from one window that looked tacky, although both windows did have a good black out blind. The tv and coffee facilities are squashed on a tall boy/dresser, it really needed another table/ dresser for the coffee facilities. The bed and pillows and bedcovers where very comfortable & crisp clean. The bathroom had underfloor heating but it was very cold in there. I think the French romantic theme was not quite right especially with the creepy picture of two people one holding a garden fork ( not very pleasant ) the other picture was just a mess of colours. The young lady who greeted us was very welcoming and we had a lovely continental breakfast, although a toaster in the dining room would of been nice as personally we don’t like pastries first thing in the morning, there was a great selection of jams, peanut butter and marmite but no toast, lots of juices and tea and coffee, She was also there to say good bye a very pleasant a kind lady. We did mention a few things to her and she said she will notify the handyman. Had a walk around the grounds and the airfield which was very nice.…
