Ideal location on A1 for a stop over on your travels if you get a cheap price. Road noise to be expected. Cleanliness could have been better. Carpet looked like it needed a good hoover, marks on wall and bathroom felt like it had been cleaned in about 10seconds.

We went with 3 young children and expected the usual rather faceless roadside stay. However, the staff member on duty both days, Steve, was fantastic - a really lovely person and made things so much nicer and easier for us. Great help with the children's beds, support with other guests being really noisy and kind and helpful. Thank you! Will...

Stayed for a night, clean welcoming travel lodge, considering it is on a very busy A1 roundabout, there was no traffic noise. The little chef next door had really pleasant staff and decent food. Unfortunately We were woken at 6.30 am by a laundry delivery. When this was mentioned in passing to Steve the Manager, his apologies were profuse and...

Stayed here for just one night in October - a last minute booking as we wanted to extend our stay in the area. Staff were friendly and the room was just what I expected - clean, spacious, spotless bathroom and a good comfortable bed. For the price of this stay, cannot complain! Cheap night, clean room, easy check in/check out. Staff were friendly and professional. We were attending a local party so just needed a place to sleep and this was ideal. Lots of parking spaces. The Crown pub nearby is definitely a must visit, great food. Would definitely stay again!
