Always a good welcome here. Good food, great daily deals and a nice interior Sunday lunch is a carvery and its excellent value. Id prefer better cut of beef, but the turkey and gammon is lovely. All homemade and highly recommended.

Had the pepperoni feast pizza and cajun fries, then honeycomb sundae for dessert. Pizza was delicious, especially considering the "sauce" was just tomato puree. Fries lovely and the sundae was gorgeous as well. Recommended.

Stayed a couple of nights over the weekend whilst working in the area. I was in room 4 which, being on the second floor, I was told is one of the best and quietest. However the room was very basic, a bit tired with mouldy bath. It was still quite noisy until the pub closed.
