The Norgate is a comfortable B&B where the hosts are accommodating but not too in-your-face. My room looked out on the green playing field behind the house and I enjoyed watching the track and field team start their morning workout while I listened to the robins.

We received a very warm welcome and were offered a choice of rooms. The room we chose was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were very well cooked and presented. The hosts were friendly and helpful

We have just from a friends wedding and whilst they we stayed at Norgate B&B for 2 nights We were made very welcome from the second we are arrived! We had a double room en-suite. Both the bedroom and bathroom were of a good size with all 'mod-cons'. The beds were comfortable with ample extra pillows and bedding available if...

We stayed in October 2015 whilst walking the Hadrian's Wall Trail. This is a quality B&B and the fresh fruit salad was wonderful. I am gluten free and this was no problem. Peters art work on the dining room wall is amazing. We would love to come back again and spend more time exploring the area

Stayed at Norgate B&B on Sept. 21. Had a wonderful experience with Pete and Fiona Robinson, excellent English breakfast. Peter is a wonderful artist and Fiona is great with directions to get to Hadrians Wall thru the English Countryside.

Stayed here last week for 1 night at the start of a Hadrian's Wall walking holiday. The hosts were friendly and welcoming; the room and bathroom were small but spotlessly clean; the bed was pretty comfortable; and the room was well-provisioned in the tea and coffee making department. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food and was served...

Only good things. I hardly ever rate anything 5 star, it has to be really good in its class. As B&B's go this is one of the better ones. Although there are quite a few really good ones in the UK. Fiona and Peter are gracious hosts, the location is great, accommodations are typically smaller than most hotels, but this...

Stayed here for one night 19th August. Had a warm welcome from Peter the owner. The room was lovely and clean but no bath in the small shower room. We ordered breakfast as a full vegetarian English. Next morning his wife came out with one scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on a very small square of bread. My husband got...

Light clean spacious airy rooms. Superb breakfast with full commitment to special dietary needs ( no wheat or dairy). Lovely helpful and knowledgeable hosts. Appreciate when there and appreciate even more once departed: but that all B&Bs were like this. Would return tomorrow if had the chance. A great base to start a tour of Hadrian's wall.

We stayed one night on our way to walk part of Hadrian's Wall, and our tour company booked us in this pleasant little B and B. Fiona and her husband were most welcoming, and our room was delightful, as was the breakfast. Not a lot more to say, except that her husband (sorry, I forget his name, but he's a...
