Lovely little spot. All the staff we met were so friendly and welcoming. Nice big bedroom, they made the twin into a double for us. Shower wasn’t very powerful though. Felt safe, all adhering to Covid restrictions. Ate in restaurant, lovely food. Breakfast next morning was spot on, vegetarians well catered for. Nice little town with a lovely tower in centre that had a quirky bar inside. Lovely walk to Hexham by river. Would recommend
Popped is for a light bite. We were greeted by warm, friendly staff who were so pleasant. We both had sandwiches one with chunky chips and one with homemade soup. Wonderful taste. Fabulous New Zealand white Sauvignon Blanc wine. Altogether a perfect lunch. Thank you PS great social distancing set up
Nice pub, good social distancing, took all our details, lovely lunch, nice staff, good value for money, would recommend the terrine starter, not our first visit and eill certainly be calling in again soon.
Excellent pub restaurant well placed in Corbridge; and enjoyed our stay in cosy hotel room. Staff were great and friendly. Recommend the new Great British Takeover menu. Worth the trip just to try the strawberry tart.
We were very nicely seated in the restaurant and the service was very good but the food was so very bad. I had fish pie. The vegetables were cold to look warm and the pie came in a ceramic pot and looked good but the fish filling on the bottom was very hot and the top potato and the middle filling was cold and the 2 king prawns were still blue as they were not cooked. If that was not bad enough the apple pie and clustered came but there was only a Teaspoon of clustered on the top. (see photo) the waters said she was not prepared to apologise for the chef. As she was disgusted what he had done. We will never go to this restaurant again, there plenty of good restaurants in the area.
