Stayed in this place for 10 days and I have nothing but beautiful things to share about my experience.
The rooms have some of the most stunning views over the northern Aegean sea and the Cycladic islands of Ios and Sikinos.
Prices are VERY reasonable for the standards of the island, and the service overall has been friendly and attentive across the entire stay. Room and sleep quality have exceeded our expectations by far.
The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Oia and if you choose the seaside gravel path to get to Oia you will be pleasantly surprised by the views over the caldera along your way to the little town.
Thank you so much for making this an unforgettable stay for us, your hospitality is top notch.
We will definitely come back, and totally recommend Finikia Memories to anyone visiting this unique island.

We stayed here for four nights through loveholidays. The hotel is your quintessential white washed Greek architecture you will see all around the island. Our room was one of the ‘budget’ rooms, however, it certainly had the authentic Greek feel to it and it was more than we expected. The room included kettle with tea/coffee, a hairdryer, a fridge and a wardrobe with safe. We had an outdoor seating area and a little gate to the room.
The staff were warm, friendly and accommodating. The receptionist could not do enough for us, she was so helpful in assisting us to hire a car, quad bike and transfers. The room was cleaned and replenished daily and the breakfast was delicious and cooked to your order. Views are lovely from the restaurant. We used the pool for a day and although the water was cold (end of October) it was ok to have a dip in after a few hours of sunbathing. This hotel is clean, accommodating and authentic, but also within a 15 minute walk of Oia which was very handy for evening meals (and to capture that sunset!)
We would highly recommend when visiting Santorini.

The most relaxing chilled holiday I’ve ever had . The Hotel is in a great location, close enough to walk to the main part of Oia but remain private.
We had a beautiful suite with a private pool which we could access from within our room. The suite included a patio area and a large terrace overlooking the Aegean and fabulous sunsets. Gorgeous comfortable bed and pillows. The shower was large with a powerful water pressure, all finished in polished concrete.
Really friendly and conscientious staff. The rooms and outside areas are thoroughly cleaned daily and it shows, Everywhere looks bright, fresh and new.
Breakfast was included in our booking, and was worth travelling to if you’re not staying at this hotel. Lots of choice, great quality, fresh ingredients and generous portions. We also had dinner at the hotel a few times, again there was a good choice , generous portions with fresh ingredients and first class service from friendly, efficient staff.
There is a bus stop about 100 yards from the hotel. It’s a circular route stopping on the same side of the road as the hotel. It travels to Oia and then on to Fira. The charge is 1.60 Euros wherever you go. A conductor collects the fare at the Terminus. It’s the same returning from Fira, You can’t get the bus back from Oia without travelling on to Fira first but it’s an easy walk, about 20 minutes from Oia to the hotel.
It seems there are at least 3 cruise ships docking at Fira every day and a lot of those tourists seem to travel to Oia and Fira which means it can be quite busy.
There are lots of bars, restaurants and bistro/tavernas.
We only booked for a week but will be going back, probably in October for 2 or 3 weeks and will stay at this hotel again.
Even if you don’t stay here, Santorini is amazing and lives up to its reputation. It’s breathtaking with a feast for your eyes around every corner. The most relaxing, chilled week I’ve ever had, anywhere.

My partner bought me this 7 day trip as a surprise for my birthday, as Santorini has been on our list of places to go for a long time, so for once I didn't have to do any work with regards to choice or planning, and so I had no idea what to expect, as we are well travelled and I am quite hard to please.

I had nothing to worry about as this place is an absolute gem, around an hour after landing at the airport we were in the hotel reception, staff were fine and very efficient, with a no fuss check in, and were in our room 10 minutes later, the room was lovely, really rustic with white walls and spotlessly clean, the terrace outside overlooked the pool on the next level down and a beautiful sea view. I get people who think the reception staff aren't overly friendly, but they are very efficient and help with whatever they are asked, booking taxis, quad bikes (really good prices too) and were all really helpful, and the rest of the staff are all hard working and very pleasant. Rooms are cleaned every day and bed linen, and towels are all changed daily which is unusual, but everywhere is kept spotlessly clean.

On the first night we ate at the hotel restaurant as were were late arriving, it doesn't just cater for hotel guests and is really popular so best to book a table although we didn't and never had to wait long on the 2 occasions we ate dinner there, and as a guest you get 10% discount. We are both foodies, and were really delighted to find that the service, drinks, and food were all excellent so much so that we went again for my partners birthday a couple of days later. Breakfasts were lovely, all cooked fresh, with fresh fruits and pastries and plenty of choice, and again great service, even if they did need reminding of a few things things on occasion.

Pool is lovely with nice comfortable sunbeds and parasols and no need to get up at 5am to reserve one as there were always beds available, there isnt a pool bar, (although you can go up to the main bar) we were fine with this as our room was really close so we just stocked up our fridge with beer, wine, and snacks.

5 minutes walk to the supermarket, and a pleasant 15 minute walk downhill to Oia which is beautiful, every view there is a photo opportunity, but not so pleasant walking back as the paths are not great in the dark and its obviously uphill.

If you want a quiet chilled out stay at a spotless hotel with stunning views (especially the sunset) then do not hesitate to book this place.

This is a fantastic hotel. Hotels in Oia are pricey and this is the perfect place for someone looking to be walking distance but without the hefty price tag.

Our room was delightful, as I think they all are, really clean and spacious with a sea view. (Number 3).

The restaurant is really nice with a good choice of food and delicious.

Lovely pool, comfy sun beds and immaculate everywhere.

What really makes this place though is the staff, they are all so kind and friendly and chatty - this is a hotel that really cares about their guests.

I’m afraid i didn’t get names but special mention to the lady on breakfast service (and more) every day who was so friendly and happy and greeted us with a smile every morning. Another mention to the lovely man who served us most lunches and knew we’d discovered a love of the local wine. He made sure we didn’t leave without that one last glass - thank you!!

It’s a 15 minute walk in to Oia from here but the small distance is the perfect compromise to get an affordable slice of Oia in a lovely hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay here! It’s well located for Oia, although the road could do with some more footpaths. Our suite was very comfortable and I really liked the decor, which was Greek chic :-) The air con position meant the split level floor did not get cool as quickly but eventually it did if left on continuously through the day.

The view from the windows of the sea and the islands was beautiful! The suite was well appointed with robes, slippers and a much needed Nespresso coffee machine.

The only negative was the lack of wifi in the suite itself.

The swimming pool was a lot of fun from my kid and was relaxing for us too.

The breakfast was truly amazing! A highlight of our stay and in fact the best breakfast of all the 3 hotels we stayed in Santorini (and maybe even elsewhere!). It had lots of variety and was very high quality and included different egg options, freshly squeezed juice and lovely Greek yogurt with proper fresh fruit etc. We had lunch a few times at the restaurant and it was lovely overall.

The hotel arranged airport pick up by taxi and we were met promptly. We also organised a return trip to Akrotiri with the same hotel taxi and it was all seamless.

Overall, a highly recommended hotel, close enough yet far from the madness of Oia!

Booked this hotel for myself and a friend as part of a package deal to suit our (small) budget. It did not disappoint.

For the price we paid for bed and breakfast it was outstanding. The Hotel itself is beautiful, offering fantastic views of the sea and sunset from the terrace. Around a 20 minute walk to Oia, with the footpath offering fantastic views of the Caldera and Oia (also a great place to watch the sunset away from crowds). All the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Our room was impressive and had everything we needed (air con, fridge, good sized, comfy beds) and the bathroom/shower was stunning. We had a poolside room with our own seating area outside. Even though the room was by the pool area, we never had any problems with noise and had the best sleep whilst there. The room was clean, simplistic and stylish and had a cave like feel. Housekeeping came daily and ensured we have everything we needed.

Lots of loungers by the pool area, although you had to be quick in the morning to secure one. The pool was clean and the area very relaxing with great views. As other reviews have said the hotel felt very chilled and relaxed away from the crowds and business of Oia.

Breakfast was delicious, the service excellent and lots to choose from. It was table service at breakfast which was a nice touch. We ate on the outside rooftop terrace a few nights and the food and views were lovely. It was never too busy so we always felt relaxed. The cocktails were also delicious.

Highly recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing spot, away from crowds and don't mind walking the short distance into Oia. Thanks for an unforgettable holiday and we will be staying at this hotel again when we return to Santorini!!

We just had the most amazing stay in this hotel on our first experience going to a Greek Island. We arrived to the most lovely reception staff, so helpful and gave us so much info. Down we went shocked to get a poolside room, it was amazing. I felt like I was in a Greek movie. The bed was so comfy, the shower was so warm and lovely. The breakfast staff were the nicest and so willing to help, especially the young guy (we didn't catch his name but he looks like Timothée Chalamet!). The breakfast was delicious, we loved the hazelnut pancakes :) The waiter remembered everyday what we liked, he was great at his job.The cleaner was lovely, and the room was spotless everyday. There is a gorgeous cat that comes around and chills in the sun nearby. This hotel is a 15 mins walk into Oia. The bus station is 2 mins to the left of your hotel entrance. Stay on the side across from the busstop. The bus ONLY costs 2 euro!!! just wow. It will first go into Oia, just stay on it and don't get off if you want to go to Fira. Across the road from the hotel is also a start point if you want to enjoy an amazing hike to Fira. We did it the opposite, took a bus into Fira and hiked back to Oia, 10km in 2-3 hours with exceptional views along the way, arrived just at our hotel and chilled by the lovely calm and peaceful pool in this stunning hotel. I would recommend this hotel very much so, and will stay again if I hope to be back in Santorini one day. 5 stars, thank you from Ireland! :) :)

There's a lot to like about this hotel - the staff are friendly, the restaurant has good food and an amazing view of the sunset, it's small and boutique. However, all of that was let down for us by the room. We had a suite with private pool. It should have been the best room, but I suspect it was actually the worst. It's split level, and the bedroom is on a mezzanine and has a curved roof. To get there you have to climb stairs and the reduced height forces you to lean out over the banister just to get up, which was hard for my wife, who has vertigo.

The bedroom is also next to all of the air conditioners for that part of the hotel, and the room is full of a constant loud droning noise which makes it very hard to sleep.

Lastly, there is a high window with no curtains which means the run blinds you in bed at 6am.

I loved the hotel, but this room ruined it

Great location, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and nice, the lady was doing the cleaning every day. Breakfast is very delicious and they give you a lot of food and beverages. Very quiet place just 15mins walk from Oia, the most beautiful place in Santorini. Best value for money and we really enjoyed our staying there.

There isn't any. Not sure what your workout routine is but it is a good area for running. If you go to Oia early in the morning you can run the stairs. I do not know where any weight lifting can be done. Enjoy Finikia. Tell them we said hi. Make sure you eat dinner there at least once.

How far are the beaches? Any options without a car hired? Thank you
Answer from tim c
Naas, Ireland9 contributions3 helpful votes
The beaches on Santorini are mainly located on the east side of the island. As Santorini is a relatively small island to get around, either by using local buses or by hiring a car etc. Using the local bus service is very convenient and the service is frequent from all the main towns/villages on the island, however you will need to change buses in Fira. Plan your trip before you go to the beaches and try and avoid peak times as the buses can be very full. Kamari and Perissa are the main beach areas, close to the main airport. Bus stops are located on the main roads and if you stay at the Finikia Memories, the stop is just outside the hotel.
