This hotel is something else , I haven’t stayed in a place like this in my whole life .

Soon as we arrived we were greeted by the lovely gentleman on the doors , who offered to take our bags and put them in the room. Check in was great , all the information was given.

We stayed in room 1 , which was a nice size , the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was a picture of beauty, absolute bathroom goals with an array of molten brown toiletries.

The grill restaurant was where we dined on the first night and the steak was pure quality , the service was impeccable and overall a very good evening meal .

The breakfast was so good , we could order more than one thing off the breakfast menu which I found amazing, the staff were friendly and attentive.

I treated the husband to the Loch Lomond cruise , really knowledgeable staff that went above and beyond .

I went to the spa (which was 2 miles away in the shuttle bus) was nice although I didn’t think it was worth the extra £40 for two hours .
It took me ages to find out where everything was , I didn’t get a tour ( it’s over 3 floors ) and found myself getting lost a lot of the time.
The infinity pool is smaller than I imagined but still a really nice feature.

That evening we dined at the boat house , the service here was ok but not as good as the main hotel , we ordered the oysters and was told they had no Tabasco sauce ( after we had to ask for it ) ( which is what it came with on the menu ) we didn’t think anything of it until 30 minutes later the table next to us got there Tabasco sauce , i complained and they took 20% off the bill , I would have rather paid the money and got the full oyster experience but we move on .

The club house restaurant was advertised as a restaurant, they moved our booking to 16.15 as a posed to 17:00 as they closed after this , I didn’t think anything of it until we got there and their was only 6 items to choose from , this is mainly a snack restaurant for when the golfers finish or the people in the spa fancy a bite to eat , this needs to be made clear as we expected full restaurant facilities with more choice.

Overall. this is the 2nd time I have visited and both times have been excellent, please don’t change Cameron house !!! You’re perfect .

I absolutely love this place, this was my third visit and there will definitely be more.

From the moment of arrival you are looked after by exceptional door staff who take your bags to the room while you check in, and if required even take your car.

The room was made up to a very high standard with a selection of Molton Brown toiletries, the bed was extremely comfortable and the bath was more than adequate to fit in a portly gentleman like myself.

Food on the first night in the grill was amazing as was the breakfast. I did prefer the breakfast when it was in buffet style but the standard and quantity of the food from cook to order is excellent and you can order more than one item from the menu. The staff within the main hotel and on the champagne cruise where to a standard well above and beyond that expected of a 5* establishment, they couldn’t do enough to help or get what you asked for.

The reason it is only 95% is that in my opinion the staff, service, and food are not to the same exemplary standard in the Boathouse or the club house. The standard of food in the Boathouse is definitely better than in the Club house, but if I was starting my trip again I would remain in the main hotel to eat.

There is a very good selection of activities to do while you are there, we would love to do the sea plane but we only did the Spa and the Loch champagne cruise on this visit.

I would highly recommend visiting here and I hope for a lot more visits in the future.

We booked the 1 hour cruising experience to celebrate a friend's birthday and would totally recommend. We arrived late morning and hotel staff were incredibly obliging in allowing us to check-in early and store our luggage before we headed down to the Marina for our trip.

The Marina is less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel with the Marina office situated right beside the Boathouse restaurant. We were asked to be there 15/20 mins before the trip where details and payment were taken before we headed down to the boat.

We were a party of 4, however there were 8 of us altogether on the cruise along with Carly and Sam, and we loved every minute. It was so relaxing with a welcoming glass of Möet and additional drinks available during the 1 hour trip. The crew were happy to give a narrative about the scenery or leave us to our own conversations.

We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and agreed it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. We finished off with another glass of fizz, pizza and fries at the Boathouse, which we would also highly
highly recommend!

All in all, a fabulous afternoon. Thankyou!

My wife and I came to Cameron House for a two night weekend stay. It had been a decade since our last visit and we hoped it would be as memorable as the last time and we were not disappointed. The restoration and refurbishment have maintained the look and feel of how we remembered it but have moved it up a level at the same time.

A very friendly welcome from the moment we pulled up in front of the hotel. We were helped with our bags and coats, and our car was taken away to be parked whilst we checked in. After checking in we went to the room to find our luggage already there and coats hung up in the wardrobe. The suite was impeccably turned out and felt warm and homely with plenty of space and a raised platform in a kind of circular ‘turret’ with a table and chairs looking out over the loch. Spotlessly clean with tea, coffee, water and a well stocked minibar.

Exploring the area, we walked around the loch to the boat house and around the lodges and golf course. We were very lucky with the weather and the dry and often sunny conditions afforded us splendid views of the loch and beyond at all times.

We used the pool (warm!), sauna and steam room which although busy never felt crowded. We had drinks in the bar next to the pool which was very relaxed and after dinner in the evening went to the main bar and although we didn’t enjoy any of the dozens of whiskeys on offer we did have some expertly made cocktails.

We ate in the grill and the fine dining restaurant, both of which were excellent. The grill has an open kitchen and provided some great steaks and we both loved the crab bisque to start. Tamburrini & Wishart is the fine dining restaurant with a tasting menu and wine pairing provided in an elegant dining room.

There are a lot of staff and everyone we came across in the reception, bars, restaurants, leisure club and working at the front of the building to get people/cars/luggage in and out were all excellent. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful and you could sense that they were all happy to be there and this shone through which made it a great experience for us as guests.

It was without doubt one of the best weekends away that we have had. The location is perfect and the place is incredibly well presented in every area. The rooms are wonderful, the food is top notch and the staff are all very friendly and attentive. We won’t leave it ten years until the next visit.

We stayed in the Mansion House, which is part of the Cameron House family. The Cameron House resort is split over 2 locations, a 5 minute drive from each other. The Mansion House is a high end apartment building, set in a beautiful woodland location right on Loch Lomond. We had a golf course view 2-bed apartment and it was perfect. A lovely open plan living, dining and kitchen area, with a spacious hallway. It contained 2 very spacious double bedrooms, each with En-suite bathrooms and beautiful views of a golf course and the Loch. This part of the resort also needs includes an 18 hole golf course, driving range, club house with an amazing pub, restaurant and pro shop. It has a luxurious spa and lovely woodland walks. We enjoyed a lovely pub lunch in the club house, we sat outside in a beautifully landscaped area and watched the golfers. The food was a very high standard, the soup and scones were delicious.

Once we parked up at the Mansion House we didn’t need to use the car again for the remainder of our 4 night stay. Cameron provide a complimentary shuttle to and from the main hotel resort as much as you need. All the shuttle drivers are pleasant but we particularly enjoyed Sophie’s company, she was our favourite member of the Cameron staff, she was very organised, friendly, funny and made us feel very comfortable and welcomed.

The Cameron Hotel resort is out of this world, with so much to see and do. It is again set on Loch Lomond, and offers a huge choice of water sports with some lovely walks. The hotel itself includes an amazing cinema, complimentary (to Cameron hotel/mansion house guests) swimming pool, sauna/steam room and gym. It also has a fab pub with complimentary pub games and great drinks and food. This is located next to the swimming pool, so great for an after swim refreshment. Inside the hotel there are various bars and restaurants and all of the staff are very friendly, and can’t seem to do enough for you. This part of the resort also has a beautiful restaurant and bar called the Boathouse, with lovely views of the Loch and some gorgeous yachts and boats to look at.

A big plus for us, is dogs are not allowed in either of the Cameron House resorts, we have a family member with a dog phobia so it was incredibly welcomed to have a relaxing holiday in such a beautiful treasure of a location, without having this additional stress.

We honestly can’t wait to return next year.

The only luxury is Cameron house taking the liberty to call themselves a 5 star resort.

From the moment you check in you are welcomed into the chaos upon the beautiful shores of Loch Lomond.

Check in was painfully long, for rooms to be over two hours late. Housekeeping were still attempting to turn rooms until after 7pm. Once you get to your room you get to play the fun game of guessing what appliances are broken. Unfortunately, there are no rewards to this game as even if you flag it to reception (if you are lucky enough for your phone to work that is) nothing will happen. You will be told of the mysterious maintenance man yet he will never arrive.

If you venture out your room you will encounter the very polite yet utterly unhelpful collection of staff who all seem to have disengaged from their surroundings. Food and drinks orders are wrong, service is slow, staff are clearly overwhelmed, every bill we were handed was incorrect and to top it off you are unable charge to your room or indeed pay with card at several of the venues due to ‘technical issues’. You can’t help but feel sorry for the young staff who have been inadequately trained and forced to face the brunt of the disgruntled residents.

The actual finishes across the hotel are poor, and the appliances are of a low quality. Attention to detail across the board is missing. It is overwhelming clear that many corners have been cut in order to re open. Staff seem resigned to the shambles around them, so much so that they don’t even ask if you enjoyed your stay upon checking out.

For the exuberant prices charged you just expect more. We all expect some minor teething issues post covid but this is just a clusterf*ck of chaos.

Sadly on arrival there was nobody present to take our bags or valet park the car arrived at 6pm. On entering the hotel we stood for approx 10 minutes queuing at reception with our bags before someone approached us and asked "Can i help you?" You would think the fact we are the only people standing at reception with bags would be the tell tall sign, . At dinner the grill is offering a set menu which is fine if the food can justify the price. The food was not to the same standard as before, sadly seems to have lost its "wow" factor, a lot of children with ipads blaring etc, Not what you want to hear when you are paying £55 a head. Breakfast was rather disappointing, cooked option was very tasty but the continental option lacked somewhat. We asked 3 times if there were more items to be brought out as every tray apart from the cereal was empty. We asked about the muffins which are on the breakfast menu and was told that they are currently not available. The hotel has lost its "5-star" service. It may have been because we arrived at 6pm at night but the little things like someone to take your bags for you is what you would expect for the price you are paying, watching people arrive the following day it seemed the staffing levels had increased as every car arriving was offered this service. Little things like that rooms not having bedside lamps "due to safety issues" leaves you feeling that the room is unfinished, no evening turn down, the TV wasn't even switched on with the standard Cameron House welcome screen. Sadly myself and my partner will not be rushing back, before renovating it held a special place in our hearts but sadly this was lost during the last visit.

(The garden room we had was facing onto the on-going building works, believe they are building there own garden to grow own produce)

So happy to enjoy a lovely lunch in this great hotel. The only thing that surpasses the food is the staff.. We were not staying at the hotel, just in for Lunch, What makes it special for us is the things you don’t normally expect, and see in films, like optional valet parking so you don’t need to walk from the car park. Great if your knees are not the best. Pre booking phone call as allergies were catered for carefully. Nothing too much trouble if you have special requests and the little bits of theatre like the serving of the tart tatin for two and a unique interpretation of tiramisu. All the dishes were explained and I really found it relaxing as I don’t really like staff constantly interrupting to ask if everything is alright . They are just attentive enough and you do not feel rushed. Thanks to Kristin , Melanie and Peter and the kitchen staff of course who you don’t see but know they are working to make everything perfect.

We were booked in for two nights at the newly opened Cameron house hotel, with little information on the website I called to check they would be open for the dates we were booked, following numerous calls, being cut off, not answered I got through to reservations. The lady wasn’t sure if they would be opened (yes in reservations) and would call back. A man called me back to say unfortunately not. So we had to find somewhere else with two weeks to go. I’m not entirely sure if I hadn’t called when they were going to let us know.
We ended up staying in Glasgow but had a spa booking at Cameron house, a short drive from the hotel and a 40 minute drive from Glasgow, as this was part of my birthday we decided to keep the spa booking. I haven’t been to the spa for years but it looks tired and needs a refurb. The treatments I was booked in for were very good, my husband used the pool and facilities which he said the same thing about needing some money spent. I have limited mobility and when I left the treatment room I went to find the toilet, I slipped and fell before I made it and couldn’t get up so I dragged myself to the toilet. When I came out in floods of tears, there was a young girl with a clipboard, a man and the therapist all waiting outside.I was absolutely mortified and upset. They were very nice and helpful but in hindsight the girl and man only wanted to make sure they completed the form on the clipboard and see I hadn’t broken anything. After I composed myself, My husband and I went to the cafe, we had to wait ages for soup and sandwich, my husband ordered something else but we gave up and left.
The most disappointing point of this is I thought someone would call the next day or so to check I was okay but no one has contacted me which I guess says it all. It was a very unfortunate incident, I still have a sore arm after three weeks but I thought given the attention I was getting whilst I was there that the very least they would do is check I was okay.

Many of the access roads have been closed off during the renovation to the hotel following the fire. Many of the hotel services are not available and you have to go to their sister hotel Carrick about 2 miles further north.
