Booked this beautiful campsite whilst ‘shopping’ where to stay for a family of 4 (16 & 20 yr olds). What a gem we found! The rolling country lanes lead us to this ever so peaceful, calm and whimsical place where you could just relax instantly. Rural, idyllic farmhouse setting but catered so perfectly for modern day living which offered campers luxuriously clean showers, toilet facilities and a kitchen with ALL white goods to make your stay even more comfortable...ever heard of cooking a readymade meal on a campsite? We haven’t but you can at Camping la Fortinerie as there’s a cooker/oven for you to use! Absolutely brilliant! Met by Tina and Julian when we arrived, it didn’t feel like we’d arrived on a campsite, it was more like we arrived at a friend’s house and they gave us such a warm welcome. A wonderfully hardworking couple who thrived to see us all having a lovely time and that our needs were met and were always on hand to help and guide us. We enjoyed 2 evenings of their hospitality where we had soirées by their handmade Boma with all the other campers and it was lovely. Tina’s fennel risotto with camembert cooked and baked on the fire pit were delish, too! What more could you ask for?! Back home safely now but miss our evening chats over a cuppa (or 2) with this lovely couple that we made friends with, we’ll be back for more!! Dave, Po, Emily and Lance xxxx

When we first arrived at the campsite we couldn’t believe how peaceful the place was. We stayed in the safari tent with the hot tub which was heated and ready for us when we arrived which was perfect after our long journey. Tina and Julian are such welcoming and warm hosts. They took us on a tour of the campsite when we arrived which had everything you could think of from a herb garden to a vegetable patch. We had our own personal bathroom and kitchen/living space and had the most amazing sleep in the most comfortable bed. We stayed at the start of our holiday and ended up booking with them again before we returned back to the UK- we just couldn’t stay away! On our last night we enjoyed a bbq with some of the other guests hosted by Tina & Julian which was a lovely way to end our holiday. It was perfect! We highly recommend!

This campsite is the best I have ever stayed at. The toilet/shower facilities amazing just like being in a "normal" home bathroom. Exceptionally clean facilities and everything we needed. The owners Tina and Julian are a lovely friendly couple and make your stay very comfortable. There are even fresh vegetables/herbs to use for a small donation. The location is so tranquil and peaceful and listening to the birds so calming.

Absolute gem of a place. My partner and I stayed in the Safari Tent for 5 nights. The tent was fantastic. Comfy bed really powerful shower and amazing private hot tub. The owners Julian and Tina were so lovely and so helpful if you needed but also gave you the privacy you required. Freshly laid eggs from the on site chickens in the morning or using their great vegetable garden!! The pictures just cannot capture the magic of this place at all. Set in natural forest, great for walking and for relaxation. Sitting in the hot tub of an evening under the trees!! Fantastic. They also have a wonderful farmhouse with private pool and a great Glamping tent and excellent camping facilities. We will definitely be returning. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. In a word. Magnificent.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay in the farmhouse at camping la Fortinière. The hosts Tina and Julian are very friendly and helpful , the property is absolutely beautiful with great design touches and a keen eye for detail.. there is everything there that you need for a holiday home from home ..full huge kitchen, beautiful dining room and living room, 2 spacious bedrooms and a lovely bathroom. The new swimming pool is wonderful and we used it daily in the wonderful weather. The site itself is beautifully tended there is a fully equipped camp kitchen complete with washing machine and drier. The facilities for the campers are second to none with great power showers . Thankyou Tina and Julian for a wonderful time thoroughly enjoyed our time with you and love the new boma ...we will return.
