The very first experience with this place, which is contact with the personel - very good. Debby helped us with a lot of stuff along the way. The houses and facilities around them make it very easy to relax and enjoy the hollidays. The shop nearby is one of our favorite in whole Tenerife. Perfect place to stay if one considers the southern part of Tenerife.
We got a place not right in front of the sea, but you still could enjoy the amazing view from the morning. The apartment was really nice and homie, and the kitchen well equipped, it was a pity that we didn't have the chance to use it. The pool has many sunbeds, and the ocean view is amazing, especially during sunset. There's also a supermarket close to the apartments where you can get pretty much everything you may need. The staff are professional and helpful, we loved the fact that they could book us the boat trip in Los Gigantes. We really recommend this place.
A nice little place overlooking the Ocean, a nice selection of food on the Menu, Staff very friendly and do not rush you at all, they also do a very nice Buffet from 7am.when we where there they were closed Monday & Tuesday. Well worth a visit
Well the views are amazing, looking out to the ocean. The coffee comes with a lovely home made cake and a chocolate moose and you can refill your coffee as many times as you wish from the flask and help yourself to biscuits. When you take this into account it makes for great value as well as great service. They have a pool which you can pay to use but when we are in Costa Del Silencio we always walk round to Westhaven Bay.
We stayed here in a non-sea view apartment in April. And although it wasn't a sea view option, from our balcony upstairs you could see a long way over the roofs of the other apartments and out to the skyline so as non-sea views go it was very good in that respect. Often you're looking at another apartment block wall or something! We booked direct and I was impressed with the resort from this point of view. In the three or so times I contacted them beforehand they were pretty quick and attentive and they proactively contacted me about a week before we were due to arrive asking for our flight and arrival details. They seemed will in control of everything. They also only wanted part payment until we’d actually arrived which also pleased me. So often now it seems you have to pay 100% of the cost months and months before you travel. Physically, the resort is pretty near the airport. No more than 15 mins a taxi. This was a welcome change to last year when we stayed at Los Giagantes which is about 45 mins from the south airport. The staff in Reception were very good and the whole place was clean and tidy. The apartment itself is set over 2 floors. Downstairs is a loo, kitchen area, breakfast bar, and lounge (with sofa bed). Outside there is a private courtyard areas with table, chairs and a couple of sunbeds. Upstairs there is a full bathroom and two bedrooms each with 2 x twin beds. There is a small balcony with a clothes racks, and a small table for 3. The kitchen was good in terms of appliances, microwave, 4 ring hob, fridge-freezer, washing machine, and sink. It wasn’t quite so well setup in terms of utensils. We ended up buying a sharp knife and peeler. The hot water situation wasn’t great as there is only a small immersion tank, which means that if you want baths for the kids etc, you need to leave plenty of time for it to refill before you try to get any more hot water. The apartment worked pretty well for us, but like a lot of apartments in warm climates it was all hard surfaces which means the noise really travels. You could be upstairs and hear noises downstairs almost as if you were in the same room. Our two small girls slept ok though which was the main thing. We were slightly put off when we arrived by the warning from Reception about locking up and using the safe. But we did that and had no problems at all. I think they have had problems with casual thefts but certainly for us it seemed that if you were sensible it was fine. There is a supermarket at the back of the complex. It was less than 2 mins walk from our apartment. It was pretty well stocked but felt expensive. Admittedly we ate in most of the time and had picnics, but we probably did £160-£180 in a week there for bog standard stuff like salad, ham, cheese, and bread. I drew the line at my daughter’s request for chocolate spread which was the best part of £4.50 a jar! We didn't get a great understanding of the area, but my sense was that you'd need a bus or car to use a different Supermarket. There are two pools, but from the photos it looks like three. The larger one has a bridge across it though but it is fundamentally just one pool. One end is pretty deep (I’m 5ft10” and I couldn’t standard up in it). The other end is fine though. There is also a kids pool which is about knee deep on an adult. Our main issue with location was that there didn’t seem much to do that was walkable. You could get into the town of La Galletes but it wasn’t particularly exciting and the beach area seemed quite poor. The area more immediately around the resort also felt a bit run down. It felt as though perhaps 20+ years ago it might’ve been more up and coming but today it was a bit sad. There was a bus stop within about 100 yards of the complex and that was well served with buses so it was very easy to get out and about, but we prefer a little more to do on the doorstep. The resort itself was quiet (though no complaints from us) and our sense was that only about 1/3rd of the apartments were full. Would we go back? Probably not. But it was a decent enough base for us for a week with the kids.…
