Tiny double bed that was hard as a rock. The most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in.
Pillows were lovely.

Having looked at a few different hotels, we decided to choose Kingswood Hotel for our wedding celebration party. The function room is beautiful & we really liked the atmosphere in the hotel. The meal we were served was absolutely delicious, we chose a four course dinner menu. The portions were generous & freshly prepared for each table... faultless. Also the members of staff who were looking after us that evening, deserve nothing but the highest praise. They were all extremely friendly & accomodating, ensuring that our evening was wonderful. Each one a credit to the hotel.
However there are a few issues which unfortunately stopped me from giving a five star review. We were told that we would have access to the function suite through a private entrance, but on arriving this area was like a building site, cordoned off & with a digger in the middle of it, as the paving was being replaced. The hotel did not inform us before hand, so we & our guests all had to enter through the busy restaurant. Also for some reason the function room does not have a seperate sound system from the restaurant, which is directly beneath it. The same music is piped into both. So unless you want to hire a DJ with their own equipment, that is the music you will hear. We did not want to hire a DJ, as a member of our family had put together music we wanted played. He is a DJ, who regularly plays at venues & festivals.. just bringing his laptop. But due to the one speaker available in the function room, we couldn't actually hear the music.
We asked for a microphone for the speech, but it didn't work!
Lastly, the photos on the hotel website of the function room set up for a function are somewhat misleading. The items on the tables & the chiavari chairs are not available, but need to be hired at your own expense. Perhaps an idea would be to add some photos with the hotel's own furniture & table decorations too.
Last but not least, since our party which was just last weekend, we have received no call or e-mail from the hotel, to ask whether we were pleased or otherwise with how everything went. Given the revenue we gave the hotel through our party & guests staying, it would have been appreciated.

Thank you for choosing KingsWood Hotel for your special day celebration and for taking time to share your valuable feedback. It is wonderful to know you have enjoyed your wedding celebration party as well as your stay with us. I am grateful for appreciating hotel atmosphere, beautiful function rooms, great food and our extremely friendly and accommodating staff. As comfort and relaxation of our guests is our utmost priority and I am proud to say our service level standards are reflected in our day to day execution of processes, guest satisfaction and untiring efforts of our staff to ensure each guest is carefully entertained and looked after. The efforts of the staff are not just realised internally but exceptionally recognised and acknowledged by our esteemed guest reviews on TripAdvisor as well. On a regular basis we receive so many positive comments on our high standard customer service, that it is very unusual to hear such feedback. Guest satisfaction is of utmost priority to us and we endeavour to exceed every customer expectation from the moment of reserving a room to a warm farewell therefore I will be sure to address your feedback with my team. Once again thank you for your feedback. On behalf of the team here at KingsWood Hotel we wish you a lifetime of happiness together and look forward to welcome you back sometime soon. Kind Regards, Raja Kamran, Senior General Manager, KingsWood Hotel Citywest | Kingswood Naas Road |Dublin 22

I arrived close to midnight after flying into Dublin for business. Kumar the night manager checked me in & gave me advice on best place to park my car safely. When i got to my room i realised it overlooked the motorway & the traffic can be very noisy, i called reception to ask if there was a quieter room available. Kumar promptly came to my room, helped me move my luggage & gave me a room on the inside of the property which was very quiet. Comfortable beds, clean, coffee machine. I really appreciated his service.

I stayed on Friday the 14th of Aug with my partner, we availed of the dine in package which is such good value. The hotel has been newly refurbished with beautiful rooms, we received a complimentary upgrade on our room which we were delighted about. Carolina the receptionist was very welcoming on arrival. The hotel was spotless and all covid precautions were in place. What made our evening was our waitress Susan in the restaurant, she went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, even swapping our desserts for a cocktail as we were so full we couldnt eat them and they were part of our package. This was something she went out of her way to do and was very much appreciated. Susan made her job look effortless as she glided through the restaurant attending to all her customers with the same attention, she is a very valuable asset to McGettigans restaurant and their patrons. Our cocktails were prepared by Anna and were delicious.

Upon arrival we were asked for ID although we were not informed in our correspondence emails. When asked why we both had to give ID the responce from the receptionist was "thats just the way it is"..... we had booked and paid additional for a double club room , we were given a double and single family room. We told the receptionist we had booked a club room and we were handed a key for anoter room and the reponce was " its complementary" i then said its not complementary its paid for which can be seen in booking confirmation. The next room the door was broken and we couldnt get it, eventually we finally got our room which was lovely although contained only 1 bath robe and no water for the coffee machine but i was to deflated to ask for further assitance. We didnt once receive an apolgy or an explanation from the receptionist. We were handed a glass of prosecco to apolgise 6 hours after the incident !! We had paid extra to check in from 10 , we were not told there would be no food service and there was even no room service we were absoloutly starving as dinner was booked for 7. We were then given a wrong name on the dinner voucehr and a room number which was never allocated to us. On arrival to the restaurant we both sat outside for a drink before dinner when asked could we sit outside the responce was "yes but you cant be getting up and down" which is abrupt, isntead of nicely saying its table service, we were then waiting 15minutes to order a drink. At breakfast we were asked what would you like , I said i dont know we havent been given a menu or told what you have. Its a shame because it was a lovely clean an modern hotel , but unfortuatly we were meeted with poor customer service €20 discount voucher of my next stay in my package which i never recieved , oh well i have no intentions of returning.

Thank you for taking time to share your feedback with us. It is very unusual to read such negative feedback as The Address Citywest Hotel stands out in the locality for its quality customer service and hoteling standards. We take prestige in welcoming our esteemed guests the moment they walk into The Address Citywest Hotel. It is really unfortunate to hear that you could not present your ID card upon your arrival as proving your identity is a widely practiced standard across the country as well as globe in hotel industry. This can not be avoided for safety and security reasons of all the guests staying with us. Following company principle policies and procedures is a primary concern for us as safety and security of our guests is our top priority. Violation of such procedures is strictly prohibited. I would also like to mention that your original reservation was for a Classic room which contains a double and a single bed at our property. Our dedicated reception team complimentary upgraded your room to a one of our Club rooms to ensure you have a memorable stay with us. I would also like to highlight that we do provide 24 hour rooms service as well as serve breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. I highly regret the inconvenience that was caused on this occasion and look forward to an opportunity to welcome you back to The Address Citywest Hotel in the near future where we will have an opportunity to turn your experience into most memorable one. As the title suggests, this was a last minute booking on the day I arrived and it was brilliant value for what I got. Room was big with a nice size bathroom, good shower and comfortable bed. Everything was great and I’m sure possible in the wardrobe area there was coffee and tea making facilities but I couldn’t be sure. Some bottle water would have been nice in the room but I did notice jugs of tap water could have been got at the small bar at reception. I like my stay a lit and I’d definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay in the address. The bar was really lovely and staff were good. I'd advise going for the proper food instead of the wings, onion rings garlic bread as they did unfortunately just taste frozen. Definitely not restaurant quality. The garlic bread was especially disappointing. The onion rings were supposed to be beer battered but were 100% frozen breaded onion rings from a packet. HOWEVER the pork belly and roast chicken were both delicious. And the dessert really good. Much better than what we had for lunch. On a different level. I seen other people having fish and that all also looked extremely good. The room was spotless and bed was comfortable but it was far far too warm and the window only opened a crack. Definitely need for Aircon or a window that opens a bit more. They could open a lot more and still be totally safe. Breakfast really good and only 5 euro extra for it to be brought to the room which was lovely. The cocktails were really good. It would have been nice to be able to have a drink later than 12 o clock but I understand this could be due to covid. So a good stay, but with small improvements could be amazing.

Conveniently located for access to Dublin amenities and airport, The Address offered a perfect location for our stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating throughout. Dinner in McGettigans was very enjoyable with a laid back casual atmosphere. Package offered was dinner bed and breakfast with cocktail on arrival and as such was very competitive at €178. Minor teething problems are evident as this hotel like all others exit lockdown. Would highly recommend.

We booked The Address as a treat. We had a big anniversary and treated ourselves to a trip to Kildare Village and a stay at The Addresss Citywest.
We were greeted by Zana who made us feel so welcome.
Our room was spotless and really comfortable. A fan was sent up to the room as it was quite warm, which we were thankful for and also, a gorgeous warm brownie, with Happy Anniversary, such a nice touch. 😍
We had book Mcgettigans for dinner and it started off with a fab signature cocktail on the terrace-much welcomed as it was a incredibly humid evening.
The food in Mcgettigans was Devine, we really enjoyed every mouthful and the cocktails and Redbreast went down a treat also.😊
Our server Susan was lovley and a great host.💯 and hats off to Jamie the chef and his team. 🙏
We retreated to our room happy out and very full bellies.
We slept like logs in the huge bed. Breakfast was also very good. I dont think Zana went home as she on reception the next morning 🤣
We have already recommend The Address to our family and friends. We will definitely be back and looking forward to it already.
To the Manager- every single member of staff we talked to, were so polite and nothing was too much trouble- they are a credit to The Address!

Hotel is ideal as a base for sightseeing in Dublin and surrounding area, but only if you have a car.

It's not really close to any amenities or public transport.

The evening food (and cocktails) in the on-site restaurant, Mcgettigans, is very good.
Staff throughout the hotel are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and staff went out of their way to be helpful.

Rooms are nice but, the one we had anyway, could do with a bit of a makeover.

Our room had a double and single bed, and whilst mattresses/pillows were comfortable, both bed bases popped and groaned with the slightest of movement. They definitely needed replaced, as does the carpet and coffee table (which had peeling varnish).

I think most travelers these days would also expect a king-size bed. No fridge in room.

The bathroom was adequate but the bath/shower was on the small side, with one of my pet peeves, a shower curtain.

The shower was slightly old fashioned and needed to be modernised. There was also no shaving mirror.

The room had no air conditioning and opening the window meant having to listen to the noise from the busy N7 all night. Thankfully getting a fan for the room wasn't an issue and was provided almost immediately.

The secure underground parking was great, and there is a small gym.

Overall, lovely hotel and very hospitable staff.

This was my first stay at The Address Citywest since its rebranding. The checkin process was quick and easy and my room was clean and functional.
They have a small gym which suited my purposes and they are also well placed for outdoor runs
Dinner is served in the Cookhouse and the food is tasty albeit the menu was relatively limited (no pasta selection) and a wee bit pricier than expected.
Breakfast is served within the hotel itself and is plentiful and service is great
Overall this is a great hotel and one that I'll now use regularly
