We spent a night here as a family with 2 adults and 2 kids. The rooms are ok, the water tap in the bathroom was broken. You will have a frequented noisy road in front of your room. Stay here for a night and leave the next morning. Don't expect much and you will be fine. Price is fair, not... More

Hotel Alexander Von Humboldt was ok to use as a base, this hotel has your typical German Breakfast with hams, cheeses, bread, etc. all food was good. Rooms were basic with shower & en-suite facilities. Plenty of car parking, close to railway, heavy freight trains make plenty of noise all day & night. Bar & bowling alley also available. Fine... Since Vallendar is a very small town near Koblenz, there are not many options available nearby. Rooms are ok at very reasonable price. Bathrooms are also decent size, though shower cubicle is relatively small. One thing important to note that there is a bus stop just at the hotel gate, which is really a big plus ( at-least it helped... More

The furniture and room equipment is from the 1970s or 1980s. Found some hair in the bathroom went to the receptionist but she was not willing to send someone for cleaning. Asked for a new room but got refused as well. Thus, absolutely impolite and rude. The room had no wi-fi access. I was forced to go downstairs and do... More

We visited here on a 4 day trip to the Christmas Markets organised by Newmarket Travel. The room was adequate for our needs. I can't recommend the food as we ate in local restaurants throughout our stay. There is a noisy train line opposite. We had a few nice walks in the surrounding area.

This hotel is situated in an area called "Vallendar", and it is a good place from which to explore the Rhine and the Moselle by coach or car. The hotel I understand is cheap to stay in, I and my Wife and Brother-in-law stayed for 3 nights whilst travelling on a "Leger" coach holiday to experience the "Rhine in Flames"... More

I certainly would not recommend this hotel if you want to be in the middle of things or if you do not speak German. It is about 6k from the center of Koblenz and has a limited breakfast and bar menu with only a choice 2 cereals and cheese or German ham with rolls for breakfast and only one type... More

Well... Came here on a school trip, food wasn't great, my room was next to a very busy train line. It woke me up every couple of hours!!! Overall it was okay. Nothing special, very dated. Really needs a complete refurbishment!!! Good for one night but no more. I can safely say I won't be back in a hurry!!!

We had a very successful stay in this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and catered for all our needs. Rooms are fine - all en suite - food was suited to teenagers needs! Ideally situated for visits. trains are noisy but nobody complained! We are returning next year!
