The full flavours of Southern Italy! We enjoyed our meal thoroughly and were delighted to be cared by hospitable hosts. The setting on the terrace was exquisite and the local traditional specialties mouthwatering.

We recently stayed one night in the wonderful hill top town of Gerace. We arrived by car. The road takes you right to the top of the town. Top tip= Park in the cobbled top carpark for free. The other car parks have limited spaces and complicated time zones. There is a car park a few meters from hotel, but...

If you are looking to explore a magnificent town and beautiful hotel, La Casa Di Gianna in the picturesque town of Gerace, Italy, is like no other hotel we have ever experienced. From the moment you enter, you are greeted by a young gentleman named Simon. His charming personality and wealth of information made our trip most memorable. Aurelia, the...

I arrived on Christmas Eve expecting to have dinner in what was advertised as albergo ristorante only to find I was the only guest, the restaurant was not open and there were no restaurants open in the whole town. I was offered sliced meats that could be obtained from the local shop. Naturally I was a very unhappy person. Eventually...

The small hotel is located in an old palazzo in the center of this very old city. There is no access by car but the village square, where one can park, is 30 meters away. Our experience was enhanced by the fact that we were the only guests in the hotel that had been full the previous night. Therefore it...

A delightful experience, an authentic insight of the medieval heritage left in this calm hilltop throughout the centuries. the hotel is a true aristocratic residence brilliantly refurbished. The room was bright and spacious, made me feel like I was hosted by some Italian noble on a sunny weekend. All the staff is very welcoming. all meals made of local meat...

Gerace is one of my favorite towns in Italy, and this is the best hotel in town, just off the main piazza. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable, and the restaurant is quite good. The best thing about it is the location. Gerace is a safe, serene town -- molto tranquillo, as the locals would say -- with lots...

“Remember this is a hotel in a small villiage. The building dates from the 15th century. Do not expect the standards and amenities to be the same as a hotel in a larger city. If you keep this in mind you will not be disappointed.”
