Second time we've stayed at The Petwood. First time was in an exec room, with lovely stained glass windows overlooking the gorgeous gardens. This time we went for a basic room, no view but still lovely. The hotel is possibly amongst the cleanest I have ever stayed in, and we do lots of short breaks throughout the year. Breakfast is...

We only stayed one night here as it was handy for visiting the RAF Battle of Britain Flight at Coningsby. Lots of RAF Dambuster's memorabilia in the Dambuster's Bar. If you love aircraft (like me!) this is the place to stay. Stayed in the Oak Suite. Large well appointed room with lovely views over the gardens. Large clean en-suite but...

We really enjoy the Petwood hotel. However they are in the process of improving the hotel and exterior work. The hotel is closed 15th and 16th February for improvements. We were however giving a warm welcome from Becky in the bar. She was very helpful in going the extra mile. Having browsed the menu I said it was a shame...

Staying at the Petwood Hotel was like taking a step back in time given it's connections with the RAF and the Dambusters. If you are interested in RAF history then this is definitely a place to visit. We booked a double room which was clean and well equipped, also included in our weekend was breakfast and dinner which were excellent...

From my brief experience this is a hidden gem and I cannot recommend Petwood highly enough. I spent one night in a single room. The room was not large but perfect for one! The bed was more like a small double and very comfortable. The bathroom was very smart and immaculately clean. All the staff I met were very friendly...

The Petwood sits in beautiful surroundings and has ample free parking. I met a friend for afternoon coffee at the hotel and had a wonderful experience there. We sat in the lounge area, next to the log fire, in really comfortable old-style chairs. The staff were very helpful and once you have made your order and paid at the bar,...

Had afternoon tea there, on Feb 3rd. Good selection of fillings for the sandwiches. Scones & cream, tea or coffee, pleasant surroundings, and excellent service. Will go there again. Hotel full of history of WW2 especially The Dam Busters who were stationed there.

Birthday treat for my husband who is mad on WWII history. The hotel is full of history and the memorabilia from the Dambusters 617 Squadron was incredible. The executive double room was beautiful and right in the middle of the hotel overlooking the gardens. Food was excellent, we chose the dinner, bed and breakfast option and I couldn't fault anything....

We spent three nights at The Petwood, and can thoroughly recommend it. After arriving on the Friday afternoon, we were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist who explained where our room was. We were extremely pleased with what we had been allocated. Very spacious & very clean, also a sparkling clean en suite bathroom. We ate in the Terrace Bar...

Living within twenty kilometres of the famous "Dam Busters" hotel we pay regular visits for their afternoon teas. With our granddaughter in tow we decided on a snack from the Bar menu and what a great choice. My wife went for the Chicken escalopes, and potatoes ( she changed the sauté potatoes for mash and gravy- the staff duly obliged...
