My wife and I spent two nights at The Inn whilst visiting friends in the area.
Before I review the hotel its worth mentioning that Woodhall Spa is a delightful country village that is well worth a visit. There are are many attractions in the area and its easy to spend a few days looking around this lovely part of Lincolnshire.
The Inn is a quite large hotel which sits on the main road that runs through the village.
Our room [no 10] was large and clean with a good sized bathroom that occupied a corner on the first floor of the building. The bed was large and very comfortable and the reading lights were well situated and quite bright.
Tea/coffee facilities were fine. The towel's were a good quality and the bath was easy to use for older clients.
Breakfast was excellent and I would stay here again on future visits

Had a lovely 5 night stay here in June. Room was fine, clean, overlooked the play area so could be noisy and unfortunately smokers used this area too, mostly wasn’t a problem but coming back in to our room one day we could smell smoke in the room (we had left the window open) perhaps the smoking area could be moved nearer to the back fence or even around the corner to keep smells away from the rooms?

Staf were without exception friendly with a special mention to Sarah on reception and Anna & Richard in catering. Breakfasts were fine, good quality bacon and sausage, on first glance not a lot of choice but in reality everything we needed, plus scrambled eggs could be ordered instead of the fried eggs on display. Everything was fresh and hot. Also had two evening meals in the restaurant which were both very good and reasonably priced.

Only negative is that the lift only goes to the first floor, it does state that on the website but the superior rooms with walk in showers are apparently all on the second floor. However, after speaking with Sarah during booking she was able to offer me a room on the first floor with a walk in shower (not a superior room but still very nice).

Having previously stayed in a much higher priced, well known hotel in Woodhall Spa which we loved the first two times we stayed but had issues on our third visit although the Inn didn’t have the grandeur of the building or the grounds that was all we missed!

Would we stay again? Definitely, in actual fact we tried to book for 1 night to break our journey to Norfolk but there was no availability!

Having popped into Woodhall Spa whilst passing last year we decided to book a couple of nights there. The hotel was right in the centre of the town and they were really accommodating in storing our bikes overnight. The staff were all lovely particularly Sarah who took our booking and was on reception whilst we were there. Food was good and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was superb. Covid rules meant it was ordered the night before and cooked fresh which was a bonus. We had a superior double room which was very spacious. Decent WiFi and smart TV. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back again.

First of all the staff were lovely, super friendly and accommodating. We had a very good evening meal in the 617 Restaurant and so had high hopes that our overnight stay would be good.

Our room, room 21, was decorated well and everything looked good. There was lashings of piping hot water at all times. The radiator heated the room quickly and efficiently.

Unfortunately the room was above the bar and was very noisy as there was loud music playing until around 10:45. It also overlooked the smoking area so we were glad it wasn't high summer as we would have been less than inclined to have the windows open. The door below banged noisily every time anyone accessed the smoking area. The bed was awful - not at all comfortable so we both slept very badly.

Breakfast was a total disappointment compared with our evening meal. It was like a budget 2 star offering with cheap, concentrated juice and the rest of the ingredients tasted poor quality. We appreciate it is hard to cater for for a full hotel so buffet breakfasts are probably best but the sausages were dry, the bacon was dried out to the point of being chewy and the eggs greasy. I didn't have the hash browns but my husband described them as tasteless.

A shame as a comfy bed and a really good breakfast are what we look for in a hotel stay.

We were booked from a golf package at The Inn a total of 4 couples, on arrival we were greeted at reception by a lovely lady who talked us through all the Covid regulations and given our room cards, the room was very spacious and clean we didn’t have a bath in ours but some of our party did but the shower was more than adequate and lovely and clean, tea and coffee making facilities in the room and complimentary wifi.
We had our evening meals at the hotel on both nights just to save messing about trying to get in or queue up at other places, we were not disappointed the food was excellent and well prepared a friend and I had the rump steaks on both nights and they were cooked as we asked, the others in our party also enjoyed their food to. Breakfast was ordered beforehand by marking on a list what you required, great choices to choose from cereals, juices, fresh fruit, pastries, full English tea or coffee and toast and as much as you wanted, nothing was to much trouble.
Drinks and wine were cheaper than the local pub to.
All of us agreed that we wouldn’t hesitate to return again in the future.
Thank you to all staff at The Inn

Booked online for our weekend break at The Inn at Woodhall Spa. We have visited Woodhall on many occasions but never stayed here (although we have dined here in the past).
All the relevant Covid-19 protocols were in place and good explanations were given for any restrictions.
The staff were very attentive and friendly and the accommodation clean and well presented. Owing to the Covid-19 restrictions, rooms are only serviced if requested but this did not, in any way, pose any problems
Breakfast was pre-ordered for both days and was served promptly and hot. The breakfast is very good indeed.
Car parking was freely available although I suspect it could get busy when things return to normal and the volume of visitors increases.
Checking in and out was smooth and uneventful.
In summary: A really good weekend break in a good hotel in a beautiful setting.

Average food but really disappointed in how long we had to wait for our desserts. We were eating with a five and seven year old and had to wait over 40 minutes for our desserts to arrive. They only appeared after we asked one of the serving staff after half an hour and at no point did anyone offer any apology. Was made all the more annoying when the little boy on the table behind us was presented with his after less than five minutes of waiting. I can understand things going wrong or taking a while but we ordered the desserts at 3pm when there were hardly any other diners left in the restaurant and all it would have taken was a simple apology for us to leave feeling slightly less disgruntled.

Been a few times now as usually quick and easy but won’t be heading back again, especially with the kids who were also very disappointed to find the play area out of bounds Which is understandable but we did mention we were eating with children when we booked and it would have been nice to have been told, again to avoid disappointment.

Food average but service poor.

Dear TripAdvisor user, Thank you very much for your feedback following your visit. We would like to take this opportunity to offer an apology for the delay on receiving your desserts and not informing you that the play area was closed. We are now informing all family bookings that this is the case. We hope this experience will not discourage you from visiting us in the near future and you will choose to dine with us again. We have taken this feedback on board and will use this to improve our service standards. Kind regards.

We where booked into this Hotel after we where told our booking for the Dower House hotel was a "mistake". We arrived after a 2.5 hour car journey on 24/8 at around 4.45pm, the Receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and were booked in with a minimum of fuss. The Room was lovely, with a flat screen TV, ensuite bathroom, clean and spacious with an Ironing board and fan provided. We went for a wander around the village and returned for our meal booked in the Restaurant at 6.30. Only one little thing was the haddock in batter still in it's skin which my wife wasn't a big fan of , however i had the House Burger which was great. The Service in the Restaurant was spot on too the young man who waited our table was exceptionally polite.
Breakfast the next morning was a choice of continental or cooked, with any beverage you wanted and you could help yourself to a full English ( i did) , every thing was cooked to perfection and really set me up for the day. The cleaning staff were spot on ( not pushy to get you pout of the room to clean) and we were not disturbed getting ready for the occasion we were attending.
Would i stay here again? Oh yes!

This is a very nice hotel in the lovely village of Woodhall Spa. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful, we had a good lunch, there was a lovely patio area outside to eat and drink. Our room was comfortable with a large bathroom, on the top floor, however our stay coincided with what was at that time, the hottest day of the year, no air conditioning!! The room was stifling, like a sauna, the staff acknowledged the problem and tried to alleviate the heat by giving us two electric fans, but generally all they do is blow hot air around the room, the management of this hotel need to invest in portable air conditions units for the rooms on the top floor.
Clearly it would not be a worthwhile investment to install air conditioning in the entire hotel, especially as we have a relatively small number of days that require a/c, however for the few number of top floor rooms, portable units would be a justifiable expense for the comfort of guests.

Recently spent four nights at this delightful Inn located in the centre of the village. Our bedroom was on the top floor, was a decent size and comfortably furnished. The bathroom was large with the usual amenities. A couple of issues with our room were resolved promptly. ( As mentioned by an earlier reviewer, the bath could use a grab rail for safety purposes.)
Breakfast comprised a good selection of hot and cold dishes. There was an adequate varied dinner menu and the one meal we enjoyed in the evening was very good.
Service throughout the hotel was friendly, helpful and efficient and we would be happy to stay there again if visiting the area.
