Paternoster hotel, we've given you ample opportunity to make the scenario right but you don't respond, so it's only fair we share our experience so people can adjust their expectations accordingly. 1. The rooms look absolutely nothing like the pictures on the website. The manager told us the pictures are actually from the self catering cottages not the hotel and... More

Dear Angie Thanks for an enjoyable stay this weekend. There are just a few things that I would like to mention that could make for a better stay next time. 1. Room 5, between the bathroom and the room, the wooden floor piece is broken and there are nails sticking out. Someone could get hurt. 2. At breakfast on Sunday,... More

Because the hotel is an icon to the village ... historically ... we returned to dine for lunch. The hotel's "dining-room/restaurant" is quaint & captures the ambience of "what was" in the "good old village days"! Decor is simplistic & sooo very "old school" - typical of times "that were" - really quite nostalgic, which makes it "attractive" & interesting... More

The mystic of Paternoster is long gone. The charming westcoast village is no longer that......it is now a small run down dusty sea side village in desperate need of major cash investment. The hotel is very very average. Rooms are outdated, the plumbing stinks and needs to be replaced. The restaurant is adequate, the staff are tired and lounge all... More

A hotel with lots of character and old world charm. Includes an art gallery and shell shop. I think it has a two star rating so it is limited in facilities and provisioning of bathroom supplies. One of the matresses did not provide adequate support and I had to switch to the other bed which was marginally better. Food was... More

This was our second visit to Paternoster hotel and hopefully not our last. The manager went out of her way to make this a special visit for us. The staff were very efficient and always willing to help. The breakfasts are out of this world and extremely popular with locals.

The visit brought back fond memories of my student days in the late 1980s, which was when I last visited this hotel. The hotel is well situated, everything was clean and the bed was comfortable and warm. During our stay there was no WiFi. I found the fried breakfast a little rich as I normally only have fruit or a... More
