We travelled in Scotland for two weeks and this was our favourite place to stay. A used book shelf, bright and comfy room and a wonderful hostess. I would return in a flash! A nearby eating place and beautiful scenery topped it all off

Overall: Best breakfasts with good variety to please everyone; bright, cheery and well appointed rooms catering to every comfort; terrific young proprietors who go above and beyond in every way to give their guest the best possible experience. Very attentive to details. Very Convenient Location: Close and just south of the town of Kirkwall and onward to the ancient stones... More

This is the best guest house I have ever stayed at. (It even beats most hotels on all aspects!) If you are visiting Orkney, you must stay here. Why? 5 reasons: 1. The owners are wonderful - they provide the warmest of welcomes and absolutely nothing is too much. 2. The rooms are clean, spacious and modern. 3. The breakfast... More

I stayed here over the Orkney show weekend. The owners are really nice, friendly and helpful. The room was clean tidy modern and there a few wee extras that made me smile (a little jar of sweets etc). Good WIFI and a phone signal in the room - Orkney mainland is patchy for mobile signal. I can recommend this a... More

Stayed here 3 nights whilst visiting Kirkwall and area. Rooms nicely appointed, thoughtful goodies, breakfasts timely and generous. Very clean. No services nearby but not too far to town. Parking across the road.

Situated beside the loch in St Marys, this B&B is spotlessly clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend. The cooked breakfast is cooked on order and superb. I was made very welcome and would definitely return.

Stayed in room 5 which overlooks the water. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. Changed our travel plans to spend another night and Shona found us a different room which was just as nice looking to the back garden. Lots of little extras including snacks and lotion. Ate at The Commodore 1/2 mile walk - excellent... More
