Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We highly recommend staying in this wonderful hotel. We had an unforgettable time. We stayed in a junior lake suite with our dog and it was a relaxing and fantastic experience. We went hiking around the hotel and the nearby area in the Val Pusteria. The hotel is run by the family Peintner and the atmosphere of the hotel is characterized by the family’s cohesion. You feel pampered the moment you set foot into the hotel. The staff and family’s hospitality are exceptional. The hotel, its location and the food are amazing. The hotel also offers an excellent wine selection and Andreas, the sommelier, radiates its passion and excellent knowledge for the wine. When being introduced to the wine, it’s like listening to some poetry. We were fascinated by and thoroughly enjoyed Andreas’ wine knowledge. The wellness area is absolutely worth a visit. You have three saunas to choose from and the relaxation area is comfy, cozy and heart-warming. Cold water, teas and fresh fruit are being provided. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant but free to stay in your room (they provide you with a sign to put on the door so the staff knows your pup’s inside) and always welcome in the cozy bar and the balcony overlooking the green lake and the swimming pool. We are grateful for the unforgettable memories we could make at the hotel. Thank you dear Family Peintner and staff! 💜😅 Anne, Frank & Theo🐶

What was initially planned just as a skiing holiday turned out to be a skiing-and-SPA holiday with the pool, sauna, and massages. Great food, service and a wonderful overall experience. This said, the sofa bed was not too comfy, so our 5-year-old preferred co-sleeping with us in the most comfortable double bed, so I'd consider an extra bed next time. The staff, however, are very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much. The hotel definitely contributed a lot to our memories of this vacation.

We stayed for 4 nights during last june 2019. What a magical place! The Hotel is renovated with very modern furniture and layout, I love it! Our room was fantastic, so cozy and clean with the view on the lake, and with the private Sauna! Fabulous for a romantic staying! The restaurant is personally the best part, the food is so special! Every dinner we had different menu with incredible matches of ingredients and delicious wine, the chef is a genius. The hotel staff is so kind and friendly. Really an amazing hotel and restaurant where to take a break from the reality and enjoy this wonderful location in the middle of the nature.

We LOVED our stay at the Hotel Weiher Green Lake. It was a great room and we loved the Sauna in our room. The breakfast buffet was great every morning as were the very interesting dinner selections every evening. One of our favorite hotels we have ever stayed in across the globe. Would come back again. They made us feel very welcome.

Modern, clean family run hotel with excellent staff, amazing food, pool and spa. Beautiful setting, great value!!! We were the only americans there. Key staff all spoke english. Just a wonderful place to relax and use as a base to explore the dolomites. Delicious breakfasts and amazing 7 course dinners; reasonable local wines! Go!

I gave up writing reviews when Trip Advisor went commercial, but if I can help you and this hotel, I'll break my rule There are few reviews in English and this probably reflects the travellers who go to the South Tyrol, mostly German speakers and a few Italian speakers. This is a pity, as the area is wonderful and you get the best of both worlds : Austrian comfort and cleanliness plus Italian wine You enjoy it more if you can speak German, but there is no absolute need (and the local dialect will challenge you) Quite simply, the hotel is wonderful : nice people, great food, superb facilities with an indoor/outdoor pool kept at a constant 33C temperature and no chlorine tang, they must have a salt chlorinator, so you can relax in the indoor area when it is cool outside To say that the food is great is an understatement. We were there for five nights and ate five seven course dinners, with nothing repeated and everything both original and delicious. Its all part of the demi-pension arrangement, but you would pay serious money for this in London or New York. The wines are mostly Italian and start at a very reasonable 20 Euros upwards But all of this is very fairly priced and , in low season when we were there, an absolute bargain I've been all over Austria and Italy and speak both languages and am biased, but can say that if you want to walk in beautiful countryside, there's nowhere better than the South Tyrol and nowhere that is so little spoiled by tourism And here's some helpful advice if you want to go to the South Tyrol (and you ought to) If you are flying there, go to Innsbruck, not Verona. It's nearer, it's a better airport and you will get a much better car at the rental desk

Our stay at Green Lake hotel for our honeymoon was truly magnificent. The family who own the hotel are so lovely and couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. The hotel has a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and mountains and boasts a gym, swimming pool, sauna and a beautiful lake. We rented e-bikes at a very fair price of 15 euros each for a day and had a great time cycling a nearby cycle track. The hotel staff also helped us to find local walks and we had each an excellent full body massage by Ellie... AND a yoga session put on by the hotel! Every morning we woke to an incredible breakfast with everything you could want- the little touches were lovely such as the Green Lake Hotel daily newspaper which they write themselves (in your language) suggesting things to do for the day, the weather and what to expect for dinner. There are honestly no words to describe how delicious the 7- course dinner was every evening! All home- made delicacies from the surrounding area and served by attentive and professional waiters (including the family themselves!). We will most definitely be returning again and can not recommend this hotel highly enough! Thank you so much to the Peintner family- you have made our honeymoon so wonderful!

Everything perfect. Great family run hotel. Very professional and really friendly. New suite very nice, (1st class room). Location beautiful. Restaurant 5 star, breakfast great, dinner exceptional every night, afternoon cakes a delight. Swimming pool very relaxing with nice views. Spa area with 2 saunas and a steam room more than adequate. In conclusion what more does anyone need after a morning hiking, coming back to a luxury room, and then enjoying fantastic food accompanied by fantastic wine all served by extremely friendly people. "We'll be back"👍

This was by far the best place we’ve ever stayed. The staff were so helpful, the spa facilities were excellent and the food was incredible. It didn’t seem that popular for British people but they spoke good English which was great. We’d definitely stay again, just for the food to be honest! 7 courses every day, amazing breakfast buffet and cake o’clock everyday between 3-5pm! Great if you want to go skiing, or even just for walking around in the surrounding towns. Highly recommend and will be returning.

This is one of the best hotels we've been to. Located very close to the Kronplatz area (12 km) with excellent skiing ground, yet distanced from the noise, people and large groups. Serene location, quiet, green, great for rest and relaxation. Lovely decorated, spacious and well maintained apartment, amazing foord - 5 course dinners with exceptional quality food, excellent choice forbreakfast. Service is provided by friendly and supportive staff. Stayed there for a week, and wish it could have been longer. Highly recommended.
