We stayed for 4 nights during last june 2019. What a magical place! The Hotel is renovated with very modern furniture and layout, I love it! Our room was fantastic, so cozy and clean with the view on the lake, and with the private Sauna! Fabulous for a romantic staying! The restaurant is personally the best part, the food is so special! Every dinner we had different menu with incredible matches of ingredients and delicious wine, the chef is a genius. The hotel staff is so kind and friendly. Really an amazing hotel and restaurant where to take a break from the reality and enjoy this wonderful location in the middle of the nature.
We LOVED our stay at the Hotel Weiher Green Lake. It was a great room and we loved the Sauna in our room. The breakfast buffet was great every morning as were the very interesting dinner selections every evening. One of our favorite hotels we have ever stayed in across the globe. Would come back again. They made us feel very welcome.
Modern, clean family run hotel with excellent staff, amazing food, pool and spa. Beautiful setting, great value!!! We were the only americans there. Key staff all spoke english. Just a wonderful place to relax and use as a base to explore the dolomites. Delicious breakfasts and amazing 7 course dinners; reasonable local wines! Go!
I gave up writing reviews when Trip Advisor went commercial, but if I can help you and this hotel, I'll break my rule There are few reviews in English and this probably reflects the travellers who go to the South Tyrol, mostly German speakers and a few Italian speakers. This is a pity, as the area is wonderful and you get the best of both worlds : Austrian comfort and cleanliness plus Italian wine You enjoy it more if you can speak German, but there is no absolute need (and the local dialect will challenge you) Quite simply, the hotel is wonderful : nice people, great food, superb facilities with an indoor/outdoor pool kept at a constant 33C temperature and no chlorine tang, they must have a salt chlorinator, so you can relax in the indoor area when it is cool outside To say that the food is great is an understatement. We were there for five nights and ate five seven course dinners, with nothing repeated and everything both original and delicious. Its all part of the demi-pension arrangement, but you would pay serious money for this in London or New York. The wines are mostly Italian and start at a very reasonable 20 Euros upwards But all of this is very fairly priced and , in low season when we were there, an absolute bargain I've been all over Austria and Italy and speak both languages and am biased, but can say that if you want to walk in beautiful countryside, there's nowhere better than the South Tyrol and nowhere that is so little spoiled by tourism And here's some helpful advice if you want to go to the South Tyrol (and you ought to) If you are flying there, go to Innsbruck, not Verona. It's nearer, it's a better airport and you will get a much better car at the rental desk…
Our stay at Green Lake hotel for our honeymoon was truly magnificent. The family who own the hotel are so lovely and couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. The hotel has a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and mountains and boasts a gym, swimming pool, sauna and a beautiful lake. We rented e-bikes at a very fair price of 15 euros each for a day and had a great time cycling a nearby cycle track. The hotel staff also helped us to find local walks and we had each an excellent full body massage by Ellie... AND a yoga session put on by the hotel! Every morning we woke to an incredible breakfast with everything you could want- the little touches were lovely such as the Green Lake Hotel daily newspaper which they write themselves (in your language) suggesting things to do for the day, the weather and what to expect for dinner. There are honestly no words to describe how delicious the 7- course dinner was every evening! All home- made delicacies from the surrounding area and served by attentive and professional waiters (including the family themselves!). We will most definitely be returning again and can not recommend this hotel highly enough! Thank you so much to the Peintner family- you have made our honeymoon so wonderful! …
