Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Once again another fantastic visit to this wonderful part of the world! We felt extremely safe and welcome during covid times, we were well informed and communication was great with the site! The pool is amazing and the toilets are the best I’ve seen on any campsite. I hate to mark you down but I do feel it is warranted on this visit. This time we arrived in rain, both of our pitches were not the lush grass advertised but a great big square of sloppy mud! Not nice walking or pitching your eco friendly ground sheet on mud! We aren’t the only ones who had this problem, a few commented on it! You need to either rotate and allow re growth on the pitches or make them hard standing with built in drainage!

My husband and I found Camping Ötztal after a little research and luckily they had a pitch for us and our motor home. We took a 70-80m sq pitch with electric, which was ideal for us. We used the campsite as our base and took the free ski bus to Sölden to ski for 5 days. This site was fantastic, the bus stop was a 3 minute walk and ran very regularly. The facilities are brilliant, the bathrooms and showers are the best I have seen on a campsite (and I have been to quite a few) and they also have a wellness centre, washing areas for both pots, pans, crockery etc as well as clothes. They even have a restaurant on site, although we didn’t use it, it always looked busy. The staff were extremely friendly and you can buy fresh bread etc at reception every day. I can highly recommend Camping Ötztal.

We absolutely LOVED it here. Such a beautiful camp site. The facilities are incredible and so so clean! The Pizza restaurant did lovely food. There is a small very well equipped shop with lovely fresh pastries and bread. The pitches are large so you have plenty room! Thank you so much for having us. Xxx

This was the Best Camping area we have ever been. You can choose 100 m2 pitch which has lots of space. The service building was very clean and even a pit luxorius. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. We can strongly recommend this place!

Seasoned campers, Austria was a bit far to drive so we flew to Memmingen airport and took the fabulously scenic drive down to Langenfeld. We booked into one of the cabins at this campsite for 10 nights and had a wonderful time from start to finish. The cabin was clean and had every accessory we needed - the only thing I would suggest is some coffee filters - every person staying must leave behind a virtually full pack, it would have been nice to have had a few supplied. We did not use the sofa bed for sleep as there were only 4 in our group but it has to be said that it is not the most comfortable sofa with its hard back - perhaps a few cushions? Aside from those minor gripes, the whole campsite was spotless, the amenities for campers were more like a fancy hotel than a campsite, really good. The setting of the campsite itself was breathtaking, picture postcard pretty in all directions. The whole Otztal valley is set up for activity from hiking to cycling to mountainbiking, it's all there. I would encourage anybody staying to get the Otztal Card as it saves a lot of money and gives you access to so many things such as the wonderful Aqua Dome which is a convenient walk from the campsite. All in all, a fabulous holiday and I hope to be back again some day.

I am generally wary of 'large' campsites as they can sometimes be impersonal, messy and cluttered. However Otztal was none of this. It has all the facilities you could ever wish for (including a sauna), the price was very reasonable (~€16 a night for a motor home with electric), and the facilities were on par with a spa resort. There are biking and running trails within 50 meters of the campsite that take you directly into the mountains. The staff were perfect hosts and nothing was too much bother. I left reluctantly after three days as I had a schedule to keep. Thank you for having me.

I have to say this campsite is one of the best after traveling for 5th day in Europe. It is super clean and very well maintained. The owner is very nice and friendly. They are very concerned of cleanliness that's why the campsite is very clean. We stay in a cabin which shares for 4 person with two room and one bathroom. I love the simplicity and the cleanliness of the cabin. Did I mention that the cabin also fully facilitate. I love the environment and I love the cabin. I wish we can stay for two night in this site but we need to cross to the next destination.

RV sites are very nice size, the office personnel are friendly and helpful, the bar and restaurant are charming and the bathroom facilities are spot on. We were traveling with a dog and the amount of walking trails were really great. Whether walking a dog or just yourself, you will find plenty of trails to enjoy. And, since most are lite, you can enjoy them at night. The views are spectacular all around the campground. They offer internet WLAN for a reasonable price if you need it.

We have stayed at this camp-site for two years now and really like it. It's a quiet and green site, with a nice restaurant next to the reception. The bathroom facilities are spacious, clean and very high standard for a camp-site. The site is perfectly located, in walking distance of shops, local swimming pool, hiking trails, etc. and with excellent mountain-side and valley views. The only downside to this camp-site is the size of the individual camping spots. We booked a 'Komfort Platz' (which should be slightly bigger than standard), but were only just able to fit our tent and car within the spot, and would have liked some more space to move around our chairs and table. Apart from that, it's a great camp-site.
