I've come to LPO since 2006 and have only missed 3 years! It's such a blessing to come year after year and see the atmosphere again and again - welcoming, peaceful, safe, and a real community feel with those around. While quieter in May half term, I prefer it as there are fewer people and you have the space to form lasting relationships - we keep arranging to go back with friends and stay near them! The atmosphere is wonderful, and is something I felt as a child, a teenager, and now as an adult! The staff really love working there, and the open mics are second to none - from 2 year olds to 80 year olds - everyone who wants to gets involved! I always feel refreshed in myself and in my faith when I come - space to chat and relax and talk about Jesus is wonderful! The on site bar, restaurant and shop are lovely, and the local area is a delight to run and cycle in. The local beaches and towns are great fun - especially the weekly market in St Gilles - a family favourite for almost 15 years! The outdoor pool on-site is where my mum and I spend most of our time - reading and swimming, and the on-site give and take library is a God-send once I finish all the books I've brought with me! We've had a variety of weather, but there's always fun to be had in the sunshine or in the rain! They weren't open in 2020 (obviously) so this is my review of 2006-2019!…
Beautiful place, we could really feel God’s peace here. We rarely let the children go off and play but here they played out with their holiday friends most of the time. It felt so safe there. It was lovely having fellowship with other Christians and the teachings were really useful. Would definitely go again, hopefully next year!! The accommodation was clean as well which was great. Great atmosphere. Thank You Lord ❤️
Myself and various family members or foster placements stay here every year. The Christian atmosphere is wonderful. Children are safe and secure and they have many things to do like morning groups, afternoon sports, evening activities. There’s an outdoor pool which suits all ages. Adults are free to attend Bible study and evening worship or just take time to relax. There are varied afternoon and evening activities for all the family.
Been here 3 times now. A really lovely, relaxing family holiday. good for all ages. There are lots of things to do (football, basketball, volleyball, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, the beach, the town, evening entertainment). The kids make so many friends. However the weather can be a bit risky. We have been lucky in the past years with 25°-30°. However others have experienced rain
Just returned from our 3rd two week break at LPO. The kids love everything about it - the groups, the staff, the site and especially the pool. We are refreshed, relaxed and very thankful that this place exists.
My wife, four kids and I have just finished a week at LPO. We stayed in a luxury tent which had great facilities and was really tidy on arrival. The program was great with excellent Christian teaching, fantastic worship and great activities. We did not need to leave the site much with all that was going on, and the great community feel on the site meant our kids made friends really Quickly and spent lots of time with them. The weather was great and the pool was fab. The staff were amazing- would so everything to help they could. Really impressed and will definitely be returning next year!
Great campsite. Good christian teaching for children and adults alike. We've been three times and wouldn't hesitate to go again. The football pitch is popular with our children, and the field is great for flying kites. We go for the luxury tents, good value for money and convenient.
Last year we were in a tent, but this year we were able to take advantage of not needing to be limited to the standard UK 6 weeks school holiday and we booked the annex of one of the villas. We felt the weight of the world lift again and thoroughly enjoyed our fortnight at LPO. It was our second holiday at LPO and we've already booked for next year! As with last year, we came away refreshed and with new friends. Our 16 year old loved his Outbreak group and we thoroughly enjoyed the bible teaching and worship. See you next year!!
I really appreciate this wonderful camping site. The worship and teaching is superb. I wish I could get back there this year. Many people stay for several weeks. The villas are fantastic for groups of friends.
stayed in Pinewood cabin with 2 B/R, twin bathroom, kitchen with gas oven, hob, fridge. well stocked with cutlery etc, lounge with U shaped sofa, dining table, tree cover and adjacent car port, and sun table, chairs. Kettle failed- immediate response with new kettle and replacement for noisy fan. Great creative week with beginners lessons for water colour painting, cycle rides and good evening entertainment. canoeing, quiz, full programme of well thought out events enjoyed by all.
