Leonardo Trulli Resort is somewhere that we return to year after year.
Rosalba, Alessia, Leon and all of the staff are simply amazing and they all go above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Every time we visit there is always something new to discover.
It is a peaceful and tranquil home from home with first class accommodation and an incredible restaurant which mostly uses produce grown on their own land.
Everybody should put Leonardo Trulli Resort on their bucket list.

We stayed for 4 nights in a trulli junior suite which was really beautifully furnished and appointed and in a gorgeous secluded location. We had a little kitchenette and lovely private garden. Breakfasts were very plentiful and we loved the salt water pool. Unfortunately we found too many annoying housekeeping errors to give a five star rating. There was no soap in our trulli when we arrived and no pool towels available -all being washed apparently - and on 2 days we had to ask for our room to be serviced which wasn’t completed until after 15.00. We had to chase the cleaner for toilet paper and our towels were not renewed for the duration of our stay. Little things but attention to detail was missing on too many occasions for a 5 star rating.

Leonardo Trulli is a very special place. A calm oasis in a hectic world. The location, the ambience and staff all collide to create something unique.
The food is so fresh with ingredients mostly home grown or locally sourced. The chef is very creative. Dining outside around the pool for breakfast, lunch or dinner is very atmospheric and the staff are all passionate about the resort.
The rooms are wonderful and varied, a traditional trulli or a room in the grand maison. Outdoor showers and private gardens only add to the uniqueness.

First of all I would like to say: the Leonardo Trulli Resort is beautiful! They have put a lot of thought into natural, relaxing and comfortable surroundings. The pool is one of the most beautiful that I have ever seen, the little gardens are wonderful and the trulli are a highlight!
We had a room in a trullo and slept perfectly.
The food at the restaurant is really good, so we stayed there on many evenings instead of taking the trip to town.

Now to the, unfortunately big, but: we did not have a rental car and thus depended on the reception to organize tours for us. Unfortunately, only one employee speaks a decent English. And that's the problem. Even though many activities are offered on the website, the staff seems overwhelmed when you ask them about it. In the end, almost everything we wanted to do worked out, but it was really difficult to organize.
With the very high rates that are charged for the stay and the high quality that they would like to offer, it is more than annoying if the communication does not work.
We often had the feeling, that the staff was either preoccupied with other things (a jazz festival, a group reception for an event etc) and that we were less welcome than guests who spoke fluent Italian. We saw how they were given a tour of the resort and it's history. We didn't. During dinner, the courses were explained to the Italian guests, but mostly not to us. As the translations were very faulty and they always took away the Italian menu, before we could study it, most courses were a kind of surprise. We eat everything and don't have intolerances, so that's no problem, but it was ennerving nontheless.

Dear Leonardo Trulli staff: please please please take an English course to improve your skills!
If you want to offer the same wonderful experience to every international guest, you have to be able to communicate!

I hadn’t been back to Italy for more than 3 years, and for the event I wanted to invite some friends I have meet during these years to come to Puglia.
Leonardo Trulli Resort has turned this party into an amazing experience.
Rosalba, the owner, has helped me to organize it, paying attention to every little details.
Location is stunning and the food refined ad delicious has met the taste of people from different origins.
A meeting in Locorotondo to remember for years.

I recommend Leonardo Trulli Resort
for anyone who’s organizing a private party or a special event

Leonardo Trulli is an amazing resort located at the outskirts of Locorotondo (5 minutes by car). Here you will have the opportunity to sleep inside an authentic renovated “Trullo” with all the comforts you would expect from a modern hotel. Rooms have a quiet and private garden where you can sunbath and relax or take a warm shower. There is a large salt water pool located in the common area next to the restaurant with sunbeds and towels provides. What makes the difference though is Rosalba and her staff. They are very kind and satisfy any requests, with nice attention to the details. Additional experiences can be booked. For example, we took a bike tour and we cycled for around 3 hours along the “Ciclovia dell’acqua” with Marco, an experienced cyclist that made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the journey. He also explained us the basics of how to use different gears as we were alternating between slopes and flat roads, allowing us to take breaks and stops as we required.

I high recommend this amazing resort in the heart of of Puglia. Everything is perfect: authentically trulli with private garden where to taste a delicious breakfast, roses and flowers all over, a clean and welcoming swimming pool, a nice terrace for a light lunch and a Cosy restaurant for a real Puglia dinner. A Magic atmosphere for a romantic escape with the best services. It’s possibile to feel the love of the owner Rosalba which cure every single small detail! We spent 3 nights and all was perfect. Thanks to the chef for the cooking class ( totally recommended), thanks to Alessia for the warm welcoming and all the great staff! The location of the resort is very convenient to visit the most famous place of Valle d’Itria even if, believe me, will be difficult to leave this paradise:)
Hope to return one day! Thanks!!!

My husband and I returned to Leonardo Trulli Resort to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, having got married there in September 2019. This is such a special place and not simply because it holds incredibly happy memories for us. Rosalba and her entire team are so welcoming, warm, and friendly. The service provided is impeccable and we always felt so well looked after. The food is incredible, prepared with produce grown on the property, and also locally sourced. You can really see the care and effort put into every aspect of the resort by Rosalba and her team.

We stayed in a trullo, which is a great experience in itself. The trullo is beautifully decorated using items produced in the region, particularly the lovely Puglian ceramics. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept so well every night we were there, The trullo is very private and has its own garden, which provides an oasis of tranquillity.

The resort is a short drive from the towns of Locorotondo, Martina Franca, and Cisternino (the three main towns in the Valle d'Itria), all of which are well worth a visit. Lovely sandy beaches with crystal blue waters are also within easy reach. We went to Lido Morelli, which is half an hour drive from the resort. If you fancy going further afield, we would highly recommend Matera or Lecce. Matera in particular is fascinating, seeped in history, and boasting stunning views.

All in all, Leonardo Trulli Resort feels like a home away from home for us and we would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious break in Puglia.

We had the possibility to stay in the Leonardo Trulli Resort due to a wedding and we loved it! We had an amazing weekend with great food and the staff was always friendly and very much careing. They prepared for me the best vegan/vegetarian meals during weekend and always made sure I would have enough options. Additionally we loved the very own garden with many herbs, fruits (figs of the trees) and vegetables. Just amazing. I would definitely recommend this location for a relaxing holiday or just a weekend - it's worth it. Thank you for having us!

Amazing location, 5 minutes from Locorotondo and 10-15 minutes from Alberobello. Room was fantastic, equipped with all amenities and very cosy. Breakfast was homemade, everything was fresh and sourced from the owner's garden. Pity we went in winter, we could not use the pool since it was cold.

Dear Guests, We are glad that you found our location convenient. Our Resort is situated in the heart of Valle d’Itria, a very strategic point from which our guests can reach easily Alberobello, Cisternino, Martina Franca but also Lecce, Matera and Castel del Monte. We are pleased to hear that you liked your accommodation and the breakfast that we prepare with organic and genuine products directly picked from our garden. We are very sorry that you weren’t able to use our saltwater pool, but we are happy to inform you that soon it will have heated water so that it will be possible to swim also in winter. We hope to see you soon in Puglia. Rosalba & Staff

I am a fairly regular guest at Leonardo and have stayed in most of the rooms. From my memories, each of the rooms has a small private patio and herb garden area, plus there is large amount of communal grounds with enough space to keep yourself to yourself if you wish? The kitchen is certainly able to serve everyone even when fully occupied, but do not expect a restaurant, all will getting the same freshly cooked by the fabulous team and possibly joined by their family. I do know you will be very well looked after by them and October is still warm enough to enjoy the pool. Regards
