Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not a hotel but a lot of double cabins on a row. Very dirty and disappointing room. It smelled bad. Poorly and cheap decor. You share the patio with the neighbours. Couldn’t open windows because of smoke from next door. Restaurant also 2 stars

Clean, simple rooms and we had a great view of the nearby lake. We really enjoyed the hot tub lakeside and the very nice lounge adjacent. Breakfast was one of the best we have had. The quality of more or less everything was very good. The one thing that wasn’t good was the dinner. Well prepared and cooked but the ingredients really didn’t match. We of course maybe was unlucky but it was really bad. Service was nice, friendly but untrained. We really would like to have a four as a grade but the dinner is too important.

Was taken here by a business colleague whilst staying in the area. We arrived at night and first impressions were that the rooms are quite basic and functional. The shower room had one of those annoying wet rooms where water goes everywhere. However when we got to the restaurant for dinner we were blown away by the quality of food and the staff. The was no menu but the chef, an american/swedish lady came out to explain the choices available. She went into huge detail about her food and the in particular the ingredients. Here was a lady passionate about her work! Each course exceeded our expectations. The following morning we woke to the splendour of the scenery around us. Sitting beside a shimmering lake and surrounded by pines. The only shame is this winter they have not seen any snow! Would definitely go back.

In the beautiful landscape around Öresjön lakes we found this countryside hotel resort with an atmospheric old main building (former poorhouse) surrounded by many small cottage-like apartments. Checked in by a welcoming male host and got a comfortable room with excellent view to the lake, quite large with a lot of daylight. Room was spartaneously furnished, however, and we missed a small table and a wardrobe. Also storage space in the bathroom would have been useful. Very comfy beds. Nice breakfast based on local products. The place seems popular for weddings and similar so be prepared for liveliness. Close to nature/culture reserve but hiking trails are without lake views.

Been one night for work. Rooms clean and quiet, restaurant very good with Nordic style food, excellent wine pairing. Good selection at the bar. The staff is competent and kind. A good choice if being in this area.

Had a great stay, yet only one night here, during a Business trip. Will come back. This is for you that have stayed at all of the hotels in town and are looking for something quieter. I personally, enjoyed the quietness very much. This means - easy parking right outside the room, great nature and running opportunities next door. I wish I had one more night here. Maybe later. Have to mention the Dinner. Surely - the selection is not huge - only a very few dishes - but I really enjoyed the taste and quality. Not to mention the staff. Very polite, charming and nice. Rooms are (at least mine during this stay) quite simple and basic. Anyway, equipped with some nice furniture’s. Remember…you are really in the “forest” now! Simply, I wish I had more time - and will come back (preferably in the summer) for a more relaxed stay. I can warmly recommend this place!

The hotel is a conference hotel, at the countryside. It has big and nice rooms in separate row houses but surprisingly without any writing desk. The Internet was fast; 42 Mbit up as well as down. You can take a walk down to a wonderful lake where you also find a sauna. It’s a really nice place and the restaurant served a brilliant food. The breakfast was very, very rich. To recommend? Absolutely. A couple of days here to relax with a nice room, nice food and the wonderful nature. BUT! One thing we couldn’t understand. Why to play so awful music at the restaurant in the evening as well as in the morning? The guy who sung seemed to have some problems with his stomach! It was a beautiful morning, and you could hear the leaves in the wind but only when the “music” was changing to a new melody. It destroyed so much for us during our stay as well as other peoples’ stay as they also commented the “music”. I told the staff our opinion, but the answer was that was nice to have music to listen to! This is the reason that I can’t give the highest rating to the hotel.

We stayed there for a weekend - from Friday till Monday, while meeting friends in nearby Skene in order to play viols together. Nice rooms, good breakfast and very nice, friendely and helpful staff. It is situated in a large park-like ground near a lake. Very quiet and beautiful!

Stayed for one night. Good sized rooms located separatly from the mainbuilding. Nice breakfast, although they start serving breakfast quite late, 0700. Had a three course dinner there in the evening to. The food was really good and also the service. Plus for really nice and service-minded staff. Minus for a "damp" kind of moldy smell in the room.

The hotel is made of several buildings on a very large and well-kept property. It has a "summer camp" feel to it, with several small cabins with 2 rooms each and 2 larger buildings, one with more rooms (singles) and one that serves as reception/restaurant. A great place if travelling with children or pets as there is a LOT of well-kept and beautiful open space, and the lake is just a few hundred meters away. Overall, great and quiet surroundings ! We stayed in a cabin, and the room was simple, and could use some more decorating, but for the price (800) we thought it was okay and was even quite big. The beds (twins) are comfortable and there is a TV and free wifi (that works so-so especially in the morning when I guess everyone is connecting). Bathroom was a bit less nice, the shower only being a drain in the floor with a curtain, but it does the job. You even get to have a terrace, but you will have to share it with the room next to yours. We did not try the restaurant or bar, but breakfast was good. Bread was excellent, which is a rarity in Swedish hotels, and while it is kept simple, all the essentials are there for you to have a nice filling breakfast. The breakfast room really looks lovely, which makes breakfast even nicer. Within a 10 minutes drive, you can find a pizzeria, a McD and a gas station with a convenience store. If you drive a little further, you will get to a small city center where you can probably find some stores and restaurants.
