I stayed in Villa Pollio in Meta for 5 nights. The location is very good. Cross street to the Meta train station less than 5 minutes walk under the tunnel. Then 5 minutes train to Sorrento. The villa building is beautiful and the traditional Italian kitchen in the floor zero is very interesting to see. The best thing I like it is it is so quiet. I had very good sleep for 5 nights. I rarely heard anybody. As solo woman traveler I felt very safe there as well. The room is clean and big with bedroom and living room. There are breakfast stuff and water, juice milk in the room. The owner Alberto is super helpful and very friendly. He is one of the best Italian I have ever met during my twice Italy trips. He gave one small bottle of Limoncello to try. I visited friends who rented villa in the center of Sorrento. They paid $10,000 for 14 days right in the city center. It is so noisy there. I like Villa Pollio better because it is quiet and easy train ride. And the price is awesome. I strongly recommended Villa Pollio to my friends and will definitely stay there again if I go South Italy again.

We have recently returned from a wonderful stay at Villa Pollio. Albert was a fabulous friendly host and nothing was too much trouble, he offers great local knowledge. Our room with kitchenette was lovely, clean and very spacious. The aircon was much appreciated after a hot day wandering around Herculaneum / Pompeii. We enjoyed the ample breakfast goodies that were replenished each day. The Villa Pollio is a great base to explore from, the train station is less than 5 mins walk and the local buses stop just outside. The Villa is within easy reach of a great beach, several restaurants and a couple of supermarkets. We would highly recommend Villa Pollio to anyone who is thinking of visiting the bay of Naples. Thank you Albert we had a blast!!!

The room was fab ! Very spacious, clean and excellent value for money . It was lovely having the kitchen/breakfast area in our room so we could wake up and have breakfast at our leisure. Breakfast was good and proper coffee. Albert was a great host ,very friendly and full of great tips and information for our holiday , and helped us so much with anything we needed . We loved the area of Meta and the hotel is very close to the bus stop for tours and the train station for Sorrento , Pompeii , Herculaneum .There are great places to eat and the beach are all short walks away Would definately recommend this villa ! We had a fabulous holiday at Villa Pollio. Albert was extremely helpful to us giving us great tips and places to go to in Sorrento. Albert was a wonderful host. Adelaide looked after our room and provided us with lots of information too. We would highly recommend Villa Pollio for your vacation as the location is excellent, bus stop is right outside the door. The train station is a short walk away. The beach is a 10 minute walk away. There are wonderful shops around the corner. An ATM next door. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance. Sorrento train station is 5 minutes on the train you couldn't ask for a better location.

Lovely room with aircon and fridge/hob. Albert is a great host. He gives good advice and available for help at all times. Rooms are spacious and the villa is within a short walking difference of the station with direct services to Sorrento, Naples and Pompei. We were really made to feel welcome and will stay at Villa Pollio if we return to Sorrento.

Villa Pollio at Meta was the first stop for our tour to the Amalfi coast. For us it was the best place to start because you have good connection to the local bus or train for travelling for instance to Sorrento, Vesuvio or Pompeji. It would be better to leave the car and use the public transportation. Albert is very friendly and helpful and provided us with good tips and advices. Especially the recommendations for two Restaurants (La Conca and TicoTico) were very good. The room was great and clean with a small balcony so that you can take the breakfest at the balcony and enjoy the good weather. So we could enjoy 3 wonderfull days,

The place is very good situated, 2 minutes walk to the station so it is super easy to reach Sorrento, Napoli, Amalfi coast and the islands. The bus station is literally in front of the property and very useful to visit all. The beach is 10 minutes walk and beautiful. The house is beautifully furnished, elegant and very clean! The rooms are spacious and the garden is amazing green, full with flowers, lemons, oranges and a lot of other fruits that were kindly offered by the owner. He is amazingly helpful with everything we needed, with all necessary directions and advices on food, places, transport! You have all you need in the kitchen, coffee, tea, biscuits, water, milk, etc. I highly recommend the place to stay and visit from there the coast!!!

Villa Pollio is a short train ride to the heart of Sorrento, but don't let this deter you from staying there! The room we had was LUXURIOUS! No lie. I was not expecting such a large and well furnished room for the price we paid! In fact, we were given TWO rooms. I stayed here with my other friend, and we each had our own king sized bed to stay in. There was a balcony with a nice table and set of chairs that we ate breakfast on each morning while enjoying our stunning view of the mountains. Albert is an absolute gem. He was kind, helpful, and always there for us when we needed some help or guidance on our trip. He helped us order pizza one night, recommended restaurants, and provided directions if we asked. The gas in our stove went out (yes, we had an actual stove top) and I messaged Albert via Whatsapp about it. Within seconds he responded and was at our door to check on the problem and then he fixed it!! The maid comes in almost everyday to restock your breakfast, and she did a phenomenal job with cleaning. I was not expecting anyone to come in at all! I am so impressed by the hospitality of Albert and his staff. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Sorrento or the coast. And for the price?! Oh God, it's an absolute steal. The pictures don't do it justice!! Thank you so much, Albert for making our stay with you unforgettable! I normally don't write reviews, but how could I not write one for you and your adorable home!! We will be back someday!!
