Dear DanielasQ598OKP, Thank you for your honest and much valued feedback - we sincerely appreciate this as we firmly believe that direct feedback is the best way to improve our product and service. We have discussed your feedback with all department heads as well as the owners of the hotel and we take this very seriously. I would like to give you the following feedback: I am very happy that the room that we upgraded you to after the initial noise complaint was comfortable and to your liking. Unfortunately with moving you from a 1st floor to a ground floor room, this lead to the smoking complaint. Our Bedouin tent area is strictly non-smoking, however we have realized that some guests do not abide by these rules. We do have a designated smoking area and are now installing large non-smoking signs under the tent. Managers are now more vigilant to handle these situations accordingly. We do offer 2 very private rooms that are situated off the main building in a very quiet area - perhaps these rooms can be considered for your next stay. Management has addressed the team to be a bit more attentive to guests needs and to address each other in a softer tone when working close to the rooms. We serve a hearty full breakfast including a continental buffet and an a la carte hot breakfast menu which includes cinnamon & honey oats or dark chocolate shavings. The price is also inclusive of bottomless filter coffee and teas and selection of fresh fruit juices. Another offering is our breakfast or lunch pack @ R 75. I would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay at Feathers, this is certainly not the memory that we want you to have of us. Our motto is "Live Light, Share the Light, be the Light, Travel Light" and it is of utmost importance to us that our guests experience this from the initial enquiry, to making the reservation, checking in, during their stay, check out and return visits. Our management team is always on the floor and the General Manager and Brand Ambassador are both available to address concerns and make sure that your stay is a pleasant one. I hope that you find our solutions satisfactory, if we were made aware of the smoking and breakfast complaints, we would have loved to sort these out during your stay as well. An improptu dinner in the room
Why not hire a car directly from the airport? Much easier than to get a shuttle first and then arrange car rental... I can vouch for Europcar - we rented a car from them when we were there - and it was quick and hassle-free. I pre-booked the car via kulula (through my flight reference number). My flight was delayed with 2 hours and even so, I could pick up my car after I landed, after 7pm. From the airport to Feathers with Uber is less than R80 - I think it's cheaper than a shuttle.
