Visited this pub a number of times and sometimes the service has been very slow. However I could not fault this visit. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and came out hot and very tasty. The service was the best we have ever experienced here. So well done we will...

Booked in for a family gathering and Christmas meal in the pub, arrived mid afternoon and well welcomed to the room by the land lady who was very friendly and helpful, room was huge! Had an en-suite and plenty of space, they admitted they don't have a child cot (we had a 1 year old with us) but Tara had...

We stayed here for 3 nights in September. We travel a lot, but I can honestly say this is one of the best bed and breakfast's we have stayed at. The accommodation was wonderful, all the staff were so very friendly. Tara and Mark were magnificent hosts - the full English that Mark cooks everyday was one of the best...

If you are in the area then stay at The Swan for a really excellent experience. The food is first class and the service second to none. The rooms are decorated with excellent taste. Each room has a fridge with various bits and pieces. Breakfast is excellent and more than enough to satisfy the largest appetite. We wouldn't hesitate to...

Fantastic friendly country pub. Excellent home cooked traditional pub food. B&B rooms were clean, well decorated and really well equipped, even with a mini fridge. Family and dog friendly. Tara and Mark go the extra mile to make sure everyone has what they need. Specials were amazing, I had curried goat one evening and spinach and mushroom cannelloni the next....

Lucky enough to book a room at "The Swan" for New Years after travelling up to spend time with family and friends. We checked out the pub prior to booking and were not disappointed. It has a warm cosy lovely feel about the place, mixing traditional country pub with a modern contemporary edge. Our room was very nicely done, bed...

I stayed at this cosy local pub for 3 nights in November. The new landlords have refurbished the whole pub, including the 3 guest rooms, which to my surprise had a high standard and very comfortable beds. They serve genuine pub food, and are most welcoming. I am going back in January for another stay.

John Long Term Guest I came upon the Swan after a search for somewhere that I could stay long term for 20 weeks and as Tara and I say I was guided there, it was meant to be. It has resulted in being one of the nicest chapters in my life. As I have to stay away from home on...

We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday at the Swan last night hiring out the restaurant for a private party. Tara and Mark went out of their way to make sure the night was everything we wanted, serving a delicious carvery, helping us decorate the pub ahead of the party and cooking a birthday cake that I decorated in their kitchen....

First off I would like to thank all the lovely staff, especially the waitresses as they made my dinner out with my family feel special and overall I felt welcome. The service was great, and the waitress that served me had great banter and always had a smile on her face. The food was great, I had the 10oz rump...

“This is a village inn with just 3 rooms. Double, twin and king. I had a look in each room and all were good. All with en suite facilities. As the pub is set off the main road it is very quiet - no noisy traffic.”
