I Gergoni is the right place to spend a serene holiday, in a sound and quiet environment, close to historic cities rich in art (Rome and Florence can be reached by train in around one and a half hours) as well as small untouched medieval villages. At I Gergoni you can blend relaxation, outdoors activity and culture according to your wish. The estate is near Monteleone di Orvieto, a small village in the Chiana valley, and is located on a hill known as "Gergone", rich in oaks, from the centuries old oaks that surround the houses, to those that populate the nearby woods. Guests can walk in the cool shade of the trees, collect truffles, mushrooms and wild fruits, or simply watch the many animals that live free under their shelter. I Gergoni provides its guests with a range of services including: free internet wi-fi access and a meeting room. From the large swimming pool set privately on the hillside, you can enjoy a splendid view over the Chiana Valley.

I have so many wonderful things to say about I Gergoni that it's difficult to know where to start. We are Canadian and held our wedding here in May of 2019. Communicating with host/owner Carlo from abroad was easy and he made us feel comfortable every step of the way. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like family, and Carlo and Paola's hospitality was unparalleled. They went above and beyond in so many ways to make our wedding lovely and catered to anything we could need. The rooms and property itself are even more beautiful than photos online can show. We hosted 30 of our friends and family members for the week of our wedding and everyone had an incredible time- it's the perfect spot for a family reunion and many of our guests have expressed interest in returning. Carlo and Paola have plenty of recommendations for restaurants, wineries and day trips in the area, all of which are worth exploring as the area of Umbria in which they are located is absolutely stunning (and yet surprisingly not very touristy).
Honestly, I could spend an entire day talking about how incredible I Gergoni is, but you really need to experience it for yourself to fully understand the magic of the setting and the kindness of the people who live there. We stayed at Agriturismo Gergoni for two nights and loved the ambiance of the property and the hospitality of the hosts. The apartment where we stayed was very comfortable with two beds and two baths and a fully stocked kitchen. The apartment was tastefully decorated. We enjoyed walking around the property seeing their olive grove and the countryside. Close to cute small towns to explore.

What an incredible, beautiful, wonderful, magical place! I am a nervous traveler and Carlo and Paola made me feel completely at home and relaxed. The property is stunning. From the moment I stepped out of the car, I was enraptured. I have absolutely zero negative comments to say about my experience at I Gergoni. The owners were completely at our service but always discreetly in the background. They made my first trip to Italy and my daughter’s wedding a huge success. I cannot WAIT to go back! If you are lucky enough to visit I Gergoni, you will not be disappointed!

If your are looking for a quite and peaceful stay for holidays, this is the place to be. It really is a pearl in Umbria. The hosts, Paula and Carlo, are very friendly and helpful people, with whom you could spend hours of talking. They were excellent hosts... The apartments are nice and tidy. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Due to the fact that only a limited number of guests stay at the domain results in peacefulness and a stay with personal touch instead of mass tourism. Excellent idea to install a very nice swimming pool at some distance which contributes again to the tranquillity of our stay. The BBQ at the end of our stay was tremendous and in an international atmosphere. Top!!! Also the oliv oil and honey they produce on their land are very delicious! This is really to be recommended. We will go back (so we can enjoy the pizza oven)!!!!

This was the best house we have had over the seven years we visited Italy. We had a fantastic view from our appartment Emilia.... The rooms were decorated with a lot of passion... very clean and a lot of space... Everything was fine, the children loved the swimming pool.. Carlo and Paula were very helpful with info about the area, where to do the shopping and where the best restaurants are located.... We will surely advize this appartment to our friends... If we ever had made a list of all things we would appreciate in a holiday place than i gergoni checks all the boxes and more! The owners Paola and Carlo are lovely people that have made a former farmhouse plus stables into a wonderful vacation place with various houses/apartments that all have a stunning view on the valley and the mountains across. We have enjoyed a full week in house Ghika and did not want to go back home. This is a place that brings rest and we never got tired of the view. There is a lovely large swimming pool with ample beds to spend your time either in sun or in shadow. Internet's speed is high :-). Also: great interiors and most of all: great beds for a wonderful nights rest. We will certainly come back here next year and hopefully many years thereafter. Highly recommended. Gitte & Peter

This amazing agriturismo (traditional Italian country home) had everything we could have wished for. Conveniently located in beautiful Umbrian countryside, equidistant between Rome and Florence, it was an ideal location for exploring some of the most beautiful towns, wine and foods that Italy has to offer. The agriturismo itself was gorgeous. Our apartment was beautifully furnished and finished with every amenity. The views over the Umbrian countryside from the terrace were stunning. When we'd had enough of touring the countryside we stayed at "home" and enjoyed the wonderful pool (it’s as pretty and inviting as the pictures suggest). The very best part was Paola and Carlo, the most charming, helpful and friendly hosts we have encountered. We will definitely be returning!

Everywhere you look at Gergoni feels like an impressionist painting come to life. The colors in the fields on the surrounding hills still has the same palette that the great artists painted over a century ago. Between the views and the traditional farmhouse buildings, it feels like a walk back in history. This is where one can go to detach from the business of life, breathe fresh air, and relax. Carlo and Paola are the perfect hosts and available to attend to any needs a guest might have. I hope to come visit again soon! Ciao!

The propriety is run by Carlo and his family and offers exactly what Agriturismo customer can wish for. It is beautiful green place with lot of shady areas where you can chill and have rest. Swimming pool is really big that it can accomodate all guests. As it is bit distant from appartements it allows also kids to have fun and do not disturb anyone.All appartements had private quiet terasse where you can enjoy your meal and kitchen was well equiped including washing machine and dishwasher, so really no worries:)table tenis and other sport activities are available too.This place has perfect concept and ensures that holiday are just relax and fun.wish to be back soon:)

We stayed 3 week at Gergoni, a family with 2 kids, and my father and mother in-law. The location is perfect for 1 day excursions around Monteleone d'Orvieto. We visited Rome, Sienna, Firenze several times during our stay. We went to Rome by train, and the train station is located just 10 mins by car, with good parking possibilities. Carlo and Carla were very friendly and very helpful, and Carlo helped us in finding interesting places to visit in the area, The family has a number of dogs, so if you aren't a dog person, this is not for you. I believe we stayed in Casa Maria, with 3 bedroom, and small kitchen, the place is fully equipped for cooking, but it is a small kitchen for cooking for 6 persons. But there are several very good restaurants very close by, max 10 mins. by car.
We had been looking forward to pizza evening, but Carlo never turned on the big stone oven in the garden during our stay. But we stayed early on season, maybe it's just during high season....
Apartment/rooms were clean and in good condition, and there is a large and nice pool not far from the houses.
We enjoyed a very nice stay at Carlo and Carla.
