Detailed Reviews
We stayed for a couple of nights last week, and (apart from the weather) it was perfect. This is a very well run and peaceful campsite: it is very quiet, the occasional train in the distance notwithstanding. We were given a warm welcome by Tod and her Bedlington, and found the place to be very dog friendly, with dog bins strategically placed around, and a good sized secure area for exercising. The "facilities" were pristine: possibly the best I have ever encountered in over fifty years of camping, and the price was very reasonable. We shall definitely visit again!

What a lovely site this is.
Adults only and is surrounded by fields. The site it’s self has about 40 grass pitches all with electric hook up.
As far as I can tell no fully serviced pitches. We stayed on pitch number 9 which backed onto a high conifer hedge and thankfully this shielded us from some strong winds. However weather aside all the pitches are flat and well drained.
Very peaceful site.
The central toilet/shower block looks either extremely well cared for or newly built on the outside.
Everywhere is spotless and well attended to.
The toilet and shower block as you will see in the pictures are among the best I have seen and many other sites would do well to learn from what’s on offer here.
Modern, well laid out with a radio station playing. Very roomy shower rooms with superb water pressure and very hot water.
The level of care in its staff to maintain high standards is clear when you see chrome soap dispensers without a single finger print or water mark on them.
The site itself is behind large electric gates. For a £10 returnable deposit you receive a gate remote allowing unabated access.
You turn up and buzz for entry. She greeted us by name but I believe we were the only ones arriving that day. 😊
Made to feel very welcome.
Your met at the main building by a wonderfully cheerful lady, unfortunately I didn’t get her name. We have stayed in a few places and you don’t always get greeted and made to feel welcome like we did here.
I normally find when payment is required the moment you turn up it can be an abrupt introduction to the site. But not in this case.
Dogs are allowed however must be kept on a lead anywhere on site.
Greg water is permitted to be drained onto the outer edges of the pitches along the hedge line.
One thing to bear in for all those towing or in large motor homes. You MUST approach the site from the Collier Street end of Longend Lane.
It’s a 6ft6in width restriction throughout Longend Lane l, but the shortest distance to travel without the hideously sharp bends and narrow sections is as said from the Collier Street end.
To sun up it’s 5stars from me and one to definitely return to.

Lovely touring park with a very friendly welcome on arrival before being shown to our pitch. The site was very well maintained, there are washing up facilities and various recycling bins. The site is very secure with visitors being given a fob to open the electric gates. All pitches have electric hook ups, great dog exercise area. We have been here before and will definitely be returning as we loved this site.

Can't rate this site high enough. Booked for one night but ended up staying for two as we didn't want to move on! Facilities are spotless, better than some hotels we have been to. Everything clean and tidy. Pitches are huge and level with electric, washing up facilities are clean and well lit at night. Freezer for ice blocks, book swop, clean water and grey waste and chemical disposal all sign posted well. Dog parking at most facilities. Large dog off lead area for exercise.
We will definitely be going back to stay and highly recommend the site which is also adult only.

Can't promote this site enough,. we've been staying here since it was first opened, me and my wife have always felt welcome. No need for clubs, pools are fancy extras. A VERY well kept site, level large pitches, peaceful and tranquil every time.very rarely do u find a place where you would hit the 5 stars button after every visit.

Very peaceful and friendly adult only site. The showers and toilets were outstanding. Level pitches, and the owners go out of their way to make sure you have a great time.
The site is very easy to find, and upon arrival you get a key fob to get in and out, so very secure!
We forgot one of our chairs and we were lent a spare one which was very welcome.
Highly recommended and we will be back very soon.

A well located campsite ideal for exploring the many interesting gardens, houses and castles of East Sussex & Kent. The facilities are excellent and clean and Todd the campsite owner couldn't be more friendly and helpful. We were staying for 4 nights and for the first 3 nights we had a very peaceful time but on our final night some of the caranavanners' who apparently had been in residence for the last 18 months deided to have a long drunken night and were very loud. At 11pm I politely asked them to quieten down and respect other people on the campsite. I was met by a barrage of verbal abuse by these people who, having been in residence for so long, felt this gave them the right to set their own rules to the campsite. The noise got louder for the next 2 hours with most abuse directed at myself for having had the audacity to ask them to abide by the campsite rules and respect other people. We reported the issue the following morning to Todd and she spoke to those responsible although no remorse was shown. Such a shame as a great site but we would not return if the same caravanners are still staying.

This is a great site if you wish to visit attractions around Kent.
The owners are very friendly, we store our caravan and have it serviced on site, the service is carried out by the owners son who is fully qualified.
the site is immaculate, the shower block and washing facilities are first class and spotless.
the site is gated and secure, you are issued with a fob for a small deposit, as you enter the site there is a very large enclosed field that you can let your dogs run off lead.
The grass pitches are large enough to accommodate the largest of caravans and awnings and electric hook up. It is an adult only site so is quiet if you are looking for a relaxing stay.

Checked in for 3 nights and could not fault this lovely campsite!!
Used the location as a base to visit other parts of Kent, such as Tonbridge and Headcorn.
The toilet and shower block are luxurious, even radio 2 is on as you walk in.
Pay a deposit of £10 for key fob to work the security gates.
Lovely quiet location and staff very friendly and helpful.
My partner thinks a hairdryer would be handy in the ladies washroom.
