Spent four nights here, opted for the level, we had such a good time. The staff are warm and friendly, the food is exceptional and the hotel's location is second to none. We have stayed here before and I'll bet we will stay here again .

The Melia Alicante occupies a prime location on the seafront, overlooking the beach and the marina. It's a short stroll from the town and the promenade. We booked a room for 6 nights overlooking the sea in 'The Level' part of the hotel. This part of the hotel is for adults only

Dear G-BOAC, First of all we want to thank you for choosing The Level at Melia Alicante for your winter holidays. Undoubtedly a good option to relax with incredible views of the Mediterranean. Our location, by the beach and a few meters from the historic center of the city is privileged. We are happy to know that we have met your expectations and plans to visit us again in the future. The Melia is all about its location but it is a lovely hotel. We got a great deal for a 4 night stay in February so I wasn't expecting the Presidential Suite (there isn't one) but we enjoyed the views from our 5th floor balcony overlooking the town and the marina. We also

Great stay for a short citytrip. Lovely view of the harbour and within moments you are in the old citycenter or at the beach. Easy reachable by airportbus. All in all a perfect hotel although you have to be lucky with silent neighbours :-) :-)

I used the gym most days. Small but clean and adequate. Music system + tv on wall. As per previous reply below, I run the prom each morn, then go into Melia gym for sit ups, good multi stack machine with weights, cycle etc. Has running machine also. On a bad weather day if your unlucky, then this gym has enough for you to tick over and some. Also, when I was there in Jan and Feb this year, 2019, they now have a nice fruit bowl in the gym with lovely big pieces of fresh fruit daily to help yourself. Real nice touch. I complemented the hotel reception on this as nice gesture. "Free fruit" every day!

And as Alan mentions re refills, the cleaners do this for you. A tip would be to see them in the corridor and ask for more of what you want re tea and coffee, as they only leave the minimum or sprinkling of each. They have loads on the cart and happy to give you lots or tea or coffee etc depending on your pref as otherwise they won't know. I only drink coffee so I get all coffee, no tea by letting them know.

Hi the breakfast buffet room is on one level and very disabled friendly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We only stayed b&b so cannot comment on the al a carte. This is a large international hotel, so I am sure they will look after you. Enjoy your stay
