We have just returned after having our honeymoon here and we had the best time. The hotel looks exactly like the photos and is clean and tidy. Our room was lovely with extra towels and was cleaned very well every day.
We stayed for 10 days and enjoyed every moment. All of the staff were lovely, especially Christian and the blonde lady who often wears red lipstick (I'm sorry I didn't get her name).

We had breakfast which was amazing, lots of options from pastries, fruits, cold meats, cheeses, yoghurts and hot breakfasts as choices. We also paid for the lunch buffet a few times as we thought the selection there was great too.

We really liked the location, there are lots of great Spanish restaurants a short walk away from the hotel and isn't far away from the beach or the tram stops to Alicante.

A tip would be to bring your own towels for the hotel pools as they charge you for towel hire if not. Other than that a really fabulous hotel and holiday!

The property is exactly like the photos, the lobby very grand and well decorated, the breakfast area is like any fancy resort - reminded me of the hotels I stayed in when visiting South East Asia. The rooms are decently sized for a short stay and nicely decorated. Staff is great, but the cleaning process starts quite early and on Sunday morning, from 8am onwards I kept hearing the beds in the neighbouring rooms being dragged by the cleaners which forced me to get up earlier than planned. Also, the curtains still allow some light to enter the room and the there's an orange light flashing from the fire detector as well as a small green light next to the door which might be disruptive for the guests' sleep (bring a mask if that can be an issue for you). Mattresses are comfortable, I wish there was a pillow bar so guests could choose alternative pillows. The gym is well equipped but if, like me, you like a little spa time and consider booking this hotel for the sauna, do not bother : the sauna is not warm enough and is in a rough condition. The breakfast buffet has a wide variety of options but the warm savoury options, especially the vegetables are inedible but the Spanish jamon very good. If you like a sweet breakfast, the pastries and churros are great.
The location is not very convenient if you intend to visit Alicante by car (I believe there's a tram nearby). Also it took me 20 minutes to reach the hotel from the highway which made my commute longer than expected. The location however is fairly good if you are visiting San Juan Playa. About 15min away from the hotel (walking) can be found some restaurants around the beach. I paid a very good price and come here to oversee the renovation of my house in Javea, might not be the most convenient location for my specific purpose, but I would book again if the price is as competitive as what I paid. Otherwise I would either book downtown Alicante or closer to Javea.

NB: I go to the area every two weeks and stayed at the Port Hotel in Denia, the Port Hotel San Juan Playa is of a much superior standard. Not everything is perfect but if you have a good deal, it is a nice place to stay for a night.

Arrived on the Friday of easter weekend for a 3 night stay to a modern designed building. Hotel was clean, fresh and staff checked us in very quickly. Room 338, modern and bright but with the now horribly fashionable way hotels do their decor...bathroom sink in the room, seperate toilet and awful see-through shower screen into the living area. Had i realised this at the time we wouldn't have booked this hotel. Balcony was large with frosted glass separating the balconies of the adjoining rooms. (Shame they didn't think of frosted glass for the shower cubicle). Staff were all pleasant and were there if you wanted info on anywhere. Pool area and the rooftop solarium looked nice but weather was terrible so we never got a chance to use them. We chose the breakfast only option as we wanted to use restaurants in town in the evenings. Sadly the breakfast was not great, fine for cold food, cereals etc and toast/coffee but the hot food was a contradiction, it was all pretty cold. Sausages looked almost raw and the rest was quite tasteless and we couldn't see a microwave to heat anything up (there may have been one but we couldn't see it) . We didn't eat any hot food again after that so it was toast, cereal, fruit for the duration. Hotel grounds were tasteful and a decent bar/terrace area. Barfood a bit limited and some drinks quite expensive (g & t). The hotel is a tram or busride away from town and the beach there, around 20-30 minutes and taxis were anything between 12 & 17€ depending on who drives you back to the hotel, certain ones suit themselves what they charge, however, there is another beach close by down the hill, around a 15 minute walk but not a lot down there apart from a few restaurants running parrallel to the beach. Also no real choice outside the hotel for drinks or food, very residential. To sum up...nice hotel, pools and members of staff. Would i use this hotel again? No. It's quite expensive for what it is, no room privacy from shower, then theres the breakfasts. Also the aforementioned times into town via public transport and very few places around the hotel to go to. It was fine for a weekend break, wouldn't stay for any longer than that.

Small but nice hotel.

Unfortunately, several floors were still under construction and there was a lot of construction noise!

It looks very modern and chic, but with cheap materials.
Anyway, the beds are a disaster, much too hard and too small.
Even after repeated requests for extra towels and amenities, we had to call reception again every day.

It is important to know that you have to pay for the entire stay on arrival. That's why it didn't make sense for us to complain again about the bad service, the terrible food and the noise.

I do not recommend the hotel restaurant! Both the breakfast and the dinner were visually excellent, but the taste was horrible.

Only the food at the bar is definitely recommended!

By the way, the TV switches on automatically several times a day, especially at night, and wakes you up with a volume that is far too loud (even if you had turned the TV down beforehand).
Towels for the pool can be purchased daily at the reception for a deposit (cash only) of 12 €.

The price-performance ratio is absolutely not right. Definitely too expensive!

We booked this hotel as the pictures was nice, they bragged about newly renovating it for the summer 2022 and ranked it as a 4-star hotel.

First - it is definitely still under renovations as there are wires hanging out all over the place and unfinished work. The bedroom we had was stripped of anything resembling art or decorations, felt like a hospital room to be honest. A desk, a bed and a tv.
No shampoo, conditioner, lotions or anything like that in the bathroom.
The bedsheets were also dirty when we got to our room, called down to have it changed and took about 30+ min before anyone came. On the plus side, the girl who came to change our sheets was very nice and service minded.

We could hear everything in the room next door, so has to sleep with earplugs.

We decided to use the pool as that looked quite nice, but when asking for towels we come to find they demanded 24EUR in cash (20 would be refunded when returned), no card accepted and no atm or possibility of getting cash out anywhere at the hotel. Absolutely ridiculous. So we ended up taking a taxi to Alicante and hang out there instead.

The only positive about this experience was the hotel breakfast. Great spread, lots to choose from!

I will def not be staying here again, and rating this a 4-star hotel is a huge reach in my opinion …

Unfortunately this hotel didn't live up to expectations. We found staff in general to be unfriendly , with the exception of maybe one or two. Breakfast was ok , coffee machines were turned off around 10: 15 am so impossible to have a cup .after that as breakfast finishes st 10: 30am ...staff had started clearing up at 10am. Lunch was a mixed bag , it starts at 1: 30 pm but we waited an hour one day to be served ...my friends complained but it was met with a shrug of shoulders by member of staff. My room was lovely & view of pool was also . There were very few restaurants open around hotel so we got taxi into Alicante most nights , that was lovely. Overall we won't be back as we felt we were just being tolerated by staff most of time.

Stayed here with my partner, part of a larger wedding group from the UK for 3 nights. Hotel is newly refurbished, very modern and stylish. The pool area is great, loads of beds and has a good open bar area. Food and drink very reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice, showers lovely and balcony’s good size. We had breakfast included and it was nice, buffet style.

Most of our group had twin beds in the rooms which as a couple is a bit strange, we did book a double. No water in the room, no towels at the pool unless you pay €12 (€10 you get back once you return it). The snack menu at the bar (burgers, chips & sandwiches etc) would often run out. The restaurant opens at 8.30pm which also seems odd. Taxis seem to take a while to come to the hotel, maybe not the case all the time but just something else I noticed.

I would definitely recommend and stay here again despite the above, location is good, 5-10 min walk to the beach. I would expect some water in my room though if you are paying over £100 per night. Any negative about the hotel is an easy fix.

Nice modern hotel with a nice main pool area and a second pool on the roof. The main pool has comfortable standard sun bed and a number of sun umbrellas. There were also lots of sofa style beds with a sun roof however I did not see a single one of these used as they were closed off and had to be booked for an extra fee which was a shame. The food was okay but not many vegetarian options. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. The pillows provided were very thin but we were able to request additional pillows from reception without issue.

The location of the hotel is nowhere near the centre of alicante. It is about 1.5 hour walk to the centre or you can get a bus or tram from nearby stops which take approximately 30 mins.

The staff is rude and nasty and lies to you (eg says they cleaned the room and it still is dirty)
Really poor English speaking staff.
No amenities for a 4* hotel (not even toilet brush, no toothbrush, no toothpaste, etc.)
Reaaaally oold rooms and overpriced and filled with MOLD . When we reported this to the staff they said we can change the room with a better one but we ll pay the difference. They know about the issue but do nothing.

They only show you the new building in the pictures but the price you pay is for the rooms in the old building.

Staff is rude and arrogant especially waiters and receptionists - come on guys…you re just that.

Dirty beds and sheets with stains and blood.
Cleaning service does not wash the floor nor the linens. They keep em till you leave or make a scandal about changing them .

No slippers, you have to ask for toilet paper, horrible experience. Mold strong smell in bathroom due to poor water isolation. Rooms smell bad. No customer service at all. Reported them to the authorities.
