The hotel is situated in a weird location on the bottom three floors of a 10 storey apartment block, which is very large and unsightly. We parked up on a piece of waste ground and found the sat nav could not locate the property, spoke to a guy at the nearby bar and all was resolved. The internals of the hotel is very nice, modern and clean. I used the small gym and all was very good on that front. We had a drink in the bar and found a pint of beer to be very expensive at €4.75 but the wine was reasonable? We ate in the restaurant and found the food ok, not outstanding. The view was ok from our front facing room, I suspect there are rooms facing the rear which look at a solid wall of rock!! Good points, free and plenty parking, comfy bed, good room, friendly staff and near the airport.
Bad points room not soundproofed, poor location not really suitable for a long stay holiday in my opinion, food average. Would we return, sorry but no.

Stayed here over last weekend Friday night to Sunday night with a friend who had been before. Situated about 20 minutes walk from the main area of Alicante, it’s ideal as this makes it fairly quiet but still close to the tram stop, useful for the day in Benidorm we enjoyed for just 3 euros 75! The hotel is clean, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony overlooking the sea, staff were friendly and helpful and the evening meal we ordered - whilst not cheap - was amazing and I would eat there again. I will definitely return to this hotel the next time I visit Alicante!

I spent a week in this hotel in May 2022. I liked it a lot as it is well connected to the city centre via bus lines and also tramways. The hotel is well located, just between the city of Alicante and the large San Juan beach area. The room was comfortable. It had a separate corner to connect a laptop, which is good if you go there in business trip. The staff was really friendly. I had half-board and the dinner was not a buffet. It was composed of a first and a second dish plus a dessert. They also give you water for free and you pay any additional beverage you would like. I liked the quality of the food but it is modern-style so the quantity proposed in the plate was not very generous, which is not good if you have spent a lot of energy during your day at Alicante.

This was our second visit, the first being in September 2019. Although the hotel is a 40 minute walk along the sea to the main area it's a good location (for the able-bodied). Around 8 minutes flat walk to the tram, up a flight of steep steps (or a very steep side road) to the main road for the bus. Taxis can drop off and pick up from straight outside the hotel.

Although the exterior of the hotel (especially from the rear) doesn't look very inviting, once inside it's lovely, modern and minimalistic with lots of white walls and pale tiled floors.

The staff are friendly and helpful. We asked for a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities and got both free of charge - you have to request them. We emailed before our trip rather than waiting till we got there so we weren't disappointed.

You need a euro for the safe but it's not chargeable. The euro drops out when you unlock the safe so you can use it again.

The breakfast buffet is delicious. Some reviewers have said there is not much variety. This is true if you have the English choices but there's also charcuterie and cheeses, a great choice of prepared and whole fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, tuna, salad leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, tomate for pan con tomate, rolls, bread to toast, jam, honey, a selection of pastries. Tuck in!

The private swimming pool is separate from the hotel and you will need to swipe your room card. There is a lifeguard on duty all the time it's open. Plenty of sun loungers available. No children's pool. There's showers, and a changing room and toilet available. There wasn't a pool bar. Last time we visited, the lifeguard was selling soft drinks but this trip was in October and it wasn’t busy in the pool area so no surprise really.

This is our second visit to this hotel. In both instances we have upgraded to a superior room which has a balcony and sea view. This may be a budget hotel but the rooms are very clean and provide a comfortable living space. There are excellent bus and tram services linking the hotel with Alicante city and there are a number of good bars and restaurants nearby. Any requests as regards room upgrades, arranging taxis etc are dealt with with good natured efficiency by the reception staff. A special mention to Renny in this regard who also went out of his way to locate a missing phone charger for me. His very pleasant manner and thoroughness was greatly appreciated.

We had 5 nights here and were pleasantly surprised, it’s nearer 4 star than 3. Comfy beds, hot power shower with free toiletries, a balcony, spotlessly clean, good breakfast with fruit, cereals, breads and pastries, a wide continental selection and scrambled eggs, bacon, beans. Plenty of juices, teas and coffees. Staff are very friendly here and it’s peaceful. Alicante is bustling, even in October, so we were glad we stayed out of it. The pool is good too, plenty of free beds and parasols, the wire fence didn’t bother us at all.
Things to note;
Do not be put off by the outside, it’s within a bigger block, but it’s lovely inside.
Go for a second floor superior with sea view. The rooms on the other side face a wall because the hotel is lower than the road.
Email before arrival and ask for a kettle and fridge, these were in situ when we got there.
It’s about a 30 min walk to Alicante with steps up to the road. After the first day, we got the air conditioned tram in at La Isleta (to Porta Del Mar) which is 10 mins walk away, right out of front hotel entrance. It’s only 1.75 euro for a single anywhere on the 5 line loop. Use the left button to change to English on machine inside tram and follow instructions. You can travel all around the area on this including to Benidorm on Line 1 in about an hour and 10.
The Castle is well worth a visit, go early or late mid week, then walk down via Parc de Ereta which you can then walk out of in to the Barrio old town. A bit lower down has lots of restaurants at night.
Albufereta beach is a few mins walk past the La Isleta tram stop.
We would definitely return in future.

Just got back from another awesome week in Alicante.

This time we stayed at the Albahía Hotel which is situated a short walk from La Isleta tram stop.

When we arrived I noticed three things that needed sorting so I wrote a note and gave it to reception the next morning. We then went out for the day and when we returned it had all been rectified.

We booked room only as we normally like to go out and try different eateries but there really wasn’t any other options within a short distance from the hotel so we did end up having breakfasts and dinners at the Albahía. The breakfast buffet has lots of choice and is very nice. In the evening you can choose from the set menu for 15 euros or choose from the A la carte menu. Both were excellent value for money.

All the staff we encountered were lovely.

The room was made up and cleaned daily to a high standard.

This hotel is very good value for money.

Visited with my mother as I needed to be in Alicante for a medical procedure. Hotel doesn’t look much from the exterior (tucked down a narrow road) but it’s nice, clean & modern on the inside). Staff are friendly enough and very accommodating in terms of providing iron & ironing board for room, etc. book a superior room which faces the sea, otherwise you’ll be facing a road/ wall. Rooms are nice but basic enough. In terms of negatives, the food is awful im afraid, particularly the breakfast. We only ate one evening meal at the hotel- soup was cold and main course was bland rice with a few flakes of cod. I’m sad to say that the breakfast is probably the worst I’ve ever encountered in a hotel- cold overdone scrambled eggs kept under a lamp, wet hotdogs, underdone bacon, fruit surrounded by a constant swarm of fruit flies, stale pastries. In my opinion, the only edible breakfast food was toast and cheese! In terms of location, plaza mar 2 shopping centre is a 30 min scenic walk away and a taxi into Alicante centre took 6 mins and cost €6-€10.

We had an enjoyable stay!
When we first pulled up outside the hotel we did wonder what we had booked ourselves in to and was quite worried as the exterior looks like what I can only describe as a block of rundown flats...However when we entered the hotel it was lovely and very clean.
Our room was spacious, modern and clean with a lovely sea view with the sea being a stones throw away.
The staff we're all friendly and helpful.
It was a shame we didn't get chance to use the outdoor pool as the days we're nice and sunny so a dip in the pool would have been nice, but we did go slightly out of season so we did understand.
The hotel is within walking distance from some lovely restaurants, bars and shops, And just a very short tram or taxi ride to Alicante centre.
The only main thing which let this hotel down was the breakfast! Very small selection of cooked items, Dry scrambled egg, hot dog sausages instead of real pork sausage, very cheap watery beans, no real butter and the coffee machine broke down every morning we we're there.
Overall we had a nice stay but I'm not sure we would return.
