We arrived in Alicante on the Tram, and from exiting the "Macado" Station it took us 6 minutes walking at a steady pace to locate the hotel without any difficulty. The hotel is perfectly situated for easy access to Beach, Restaurants and various points of interest. The room for us was perfect, and so different from the usual hotel room...

The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was very quaint with 2 small juliette balconies. The roof terrace was lovely although not open because too early in season and too cold!! My wife was ill the last day and they allowed us to stay an extra couple of hours in room which was...

Absolutely great hotel for that price. Just the kind of local, charming place you'd like to find at such a great location. Paid €65 for one of the new double bed rooms that was just finished. This is four star standard for a two star price (I travel a lot). Stayed at the four star Melia before at the premium...

Love this little place, excellent location, quirky and authentic and right in the heart of everything. Central for bars, restaurants and clubs and the beach is round the corner. Also a train which takes you along the beach front all the way to Benidorm if required. I have stayed here on numerous occasion a definate must.

This is one of the most interesting guesthouses I have ever stayed in. From the moment you walk in (centrally located by the way) your eye wanders from ornate tiles, to oil paintings, to antique furniture and none of it ill placed. This is my second stay this year, and I would advise to book just an ordinary double room,...

This is a real gem, equal distance from the bars and the beach, great location and there is such a nice feel in the rooms! Will be back this year :)

I spent one night in the Les Monges Palace due to a flight which arrived late evening. Although I had booked by telephone a week earlier and the man had taken my credit card details, I was quite concerned upon arrival to find that they had no record of my reservation! Thankfully the hotel wasn't full and there was a...

This pension is right in the heart of the old town. It isn't available via booking websites, but it looked so good that we booked it by phone. Fortunately my husband speaks fluent Spanish so there was no problem. It is really nice to have a hostal which isn't like all the others - it is lovingly decorated in a...

Located in the old section of Alicante in a building that once housed a nunnery, Les Monges is quaint. Rooms are cozy and full of antiques. Not far from cafes, restaurants, museums, the castillo and the waterfront. Taxi let us off at the edge of the old quarter so we walked a couple of blocks with our bags, but it...

We stayed at Les Monges in September 2008. We stayed in Room 9 which was really nice, great size and for Europe, an exceptional size bathroom. Room service good, mini bar prices reasonable. Nice decor, nice room temperature. On the first night, there was an awful lot of street noise but it strangely disappeared for the other two nights. There...
