The hotel is officially rated as a two-star but in general I would accord it three stars.

That may be because I was in a Jr Suite (for all of 130 euros) but I suspect my room shared features of other cheaper ones.

For instance there was a water boiler for making tea or (alas) instant coffee. There was also a basket at the sink with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in packets. The towels were not thick but neither were they old and scratchy.

The hotel is extremely well located with a lovely square contains at least five restaurants one minute away.

There was staff 24 hours at the front desk which gave a heightened feel of security.

My room was large with a toilet in a separate alcove which curiously one walk to through the shower.

I would not recommend the 8 euro breakfast which was a limited buffet with weak coffee from a machine. One of the restaurants in the plaza serves breakfast and I suspect that was a better deal.

But all in all I was frankly expecting something of a disaster when I discovered the hotel had two stars I was pleasantly surprised, however, to the contrary. It is not luxurious but it is more than basic and I rather enjoyed my stay.

My sister and I have just returned from this hotel. What a find! Location is absolutely perfect, a 5 minute walk to the harbour and beach via a gorgeous square with lots of bars and restaurants in the doorstep. It is in the middle of things but so quiet. The only thing that disturbed us was the cleaner at 6am every morning as her cleaning cupboard was located next to our room but we went back to sleep so wasn't a big deal. The staff are all really friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. We didn't have breakfast there as so much close by but they had a deal in for €8 and from what we saw it looked lovely. By far the highlight if the hotel is the rooftop bar with its stunning view of the castle and church. It was neber too busy either. The barman (didn't catch his name) was lovely. Very knowledgeable on all the drinks and really friendly. The bus from the airport costs just €3.80 and drops you right at the beach. From there it is a 5 minute walk through the Ayuntamiento Square to the hotel so it was really easy to find. We would recommend the hotel and will be back.

We’ve stayed here a few times as the location is great right in the centre of the old town for bars and restaurants. Lovely old building however as others have said the standard rooms are tiny - there’s not even anywhere to put your case and the bathrooms are very small. You can barely sit on the WC!! They also clean the rooms between 3-5pm which means if you want your room serviced you can’t return to it after lunch which is ridiculous. I think for these points we may not stay again

Stay for 5 nights in this great hotel first of all yes some of the rooms are small we booked a standard double but found it too small for 5 nights we asked if we could change rooms but they had nothing available for the first night but the next morning showed us a family room that was available for the rest of our stay for a very reasonable price and I have to say it was fantastic. The hotel is in a great location in the old town just a few minutes away from the airport bus stop and lots of restaurants and bars nearby and although it is near a busy area for food and drink we didn't find it noisy at night.
All the staff were great nothing was too much for them very helpful and polite.
Another plus was staff on site 24 hours a day all said a great hotel and will stay again if we visit Alicante again.

This boutique hotel is simply lovely. We did not hear a sound inside as walls so thick and no thin, creaky floorboards. We were woken one morning by the street cleaning van….but that was the council and nothing to do with hotel and obviously out of their control.
The staff encountered 10/10*
The location 10/10* right by everything!
The breakfast 10/10* something for everyone!
Fantastic rooftop with lovely views of Santa Barbara castle/fort ….we took our own wine up as not manned during the week only weekend.

The airport C6 bus drops you off & picks you up for back to airport approx 3/5 minutes walk to/from hotel. The staff are so friendly, polite & helpful….best I’ve ever encountered as they were also consistent in their manner. Would also add, hotel is spotless and cleaned daily if you want your room to be….we declined that.

Perfectly situated in the old town between restaurants and bars and close to the beach, this hotel has clean rooms, a nice bar and terrace on the roof viewing the castel and friendly and helpful staff. They offer paid parking, well working free wifi, free toiletries and a generous cold breakfast (paid). We needed a taxi to the airport early in the morning and the reception staff ordered it for us one day in advance.

The hotel is based in a perfect location and the staff were fabulous. We chose to pay for hotel parking which was 15€ for the night. We had a jacuzzi room which was a nice size and the bed and pillows were comfy. It was very quiet in the hotel due to current restrictions but they opened the roof top terrace for us and we had drinks up on the roof and enjoyed the castle and city view with chill out music. Breakfast was good with cereals, toasts, croissants and a drinks machine. They were very helpful and friendly staff and would recommend a stay here to explore the city. The spa bath and steam shower were wonderful and we enjoyed our time here & would stay here again.

The hotel is in the heart off Alicante with a short walk to the main restaurants, shops and sea front. The surrounding streets are excellent to explore with small independent restaurants serving a wide range off foods. The hotel is full off character and very well presented. The room was spacious and very well equipped and very clean. The breakfast was good and the staff were helpful and friendly. A excellent place to stay when in Alicante and very reasonably priced......

Hi , there are some very nice places to eat . Here are some we enjoyed . Ca Soler is a small bar with lovely bar meals . I would recommend the beef cheeks we had though it was January! Also La Crespeta which serves beautiful seasonal food . The Chinese Restaurant is highly recommended as it is very good and inexpensive too.Further up the hill from your Hotel is Mish Mosh for a middle Eastern cuisine , we enjoyed . Hope you enjoy Alicante we love it there ..

We had a kettle in our room. You will have a balcony if your room is on the street side. To access you will need to open the double glazed glass doors first, then the original glass doors. See the photo on the hotel's TA page.
