Location very good. Room 606 spacious and large terrace comes with the room with sun beds, chairs and table. At the check-in they could not give us the room as there was someting not working right. When we got back to the hotel around 18:00 it was still something not working and we could not get a key to the room but we could go to the room but the girl in the reception came with us to open and we had to ask her to come up and lock if we wanted to go out. We were not offered any compensation while we waited for the room .. it would have been ok to offer us e.g. water. On the terrace there was a huge open sun umbrella. I twice asked the same girl in the reception if it was possible to send someone to lock the umbrella but no one came. Our friends were in room 607 the room is the same as 606 and a large terrace comes with that room as well. There was very bad smell in the room. It was notified at the reception but nothing was done and not even apologized. My friends in room 607 called reception and checked with room service to get breakfast sent up, but it was not possible even though it was stated that it was possible to get that service. The guests were asked to come down and pick up what they wanted !. Very sad that the service is not better at this hotel because the hotel is very good.

We have just got back from a 3 night stay at the hotel and can highly recommend it. We had room 604 which we found to be very comfortable. The rooms are stylish and well equipped. The bed was so comfy. I didn't realise the rooms would have kettles, mugs, tea and milk - not standard in Spain - it was much appreciated. There are good quality toiletries in fixed containers in the shower and by the basin, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and body lotion. We booked the romantic break upgrade to take advantage of a late checkout and have a bottle of cava and fruit platter on arrival, well worth doing. The staff were all friendly, specially Bryan and Irene. The breakfast selection was excellent for a small hotel. Only 4 hot food items which we didn't try, but the cold selection was really extensive and lovely. We couldn't have wished for a better location, in this beautiful old square of the old town and literally 2 minutes walk to the port, the beach, the tram and the rest of the old town and city. The architecture around here is stunning and the roof terrace views are great. We enjoyed the 3 cafe bars in the square outside the hotel. We would highly recommend Eurostars Mediterranea Plaza and will be back in the future.

We stayed here for 1 night. Perfect location, restaurants and bars are all walkable distance. There are mainly restaurants within a 5 minute walk. The beach is only a 5 minute walk as well. The hotel is very clean . Our room was on the 5th floor with a balcony to see the street. The room was clean but there was a musky smoke smell at times. But it was aired out beforehand. There are no toiletries e.g shower cap etc but there are fixed shampoo and conditioner and shower gel in the shower. The room doesn't seem to be sound proofed as I could hear the next room late at night talking loudly which woke me. Also people close their doors loudly . The TV has 3 or 4 English channels- mainly the news but you're not there to watch TV . You can feel safe at the hotel . It's in a lovely courtyard. The staff are friendly and helpful also. There's a place to store your luggage. The breakfast was ok , a small selection but enough to start your day. Enough for a full English, there are pastries, 3 types of cheese and meats. Cereal as well. And lactose free milk :-) . Herbal drinks were available too as well as machine coffee. All in all a nice stay clean safe and a great location.

We stayed here is February 2022, we have stayed here before and the hotel has been updated since we last stayed (pre-covid) the location is perfect with a 5 minute walk to the beautiful beach and really closed to great tapas bars and restaurants.

We had the terrace room which is well worth the extra, the terrace is huge and a great place to people watch.

The was really comfy and the shower was amazing. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

My criticism would be that for a hotel of this quality there was coffee machine or kettle in the room, maybe its an English thing to want a hot drink in the room but it really does put me off that we have to take a travel kettle when we stay here. Even if there was facility to make a hot drink in the foyer area it would be better than nothing, I do think this lets the hotel down

Location of the hotel is prime. One block to the beach, promenade and yatch marina. One block to restaurants and bar area. Walk to stores, ice cream places, etc.

Staff is very friendly and hotel is clean and tidy. Breakfast buffet is well assorted and available from 7:30 till 10:30.

Rooms are not big, but are well equipped and cozy. We had a small balcony with partial sea view. We were told we could bring food from restaurants outside the hotel and eat it upstairs. No noise from the streets or neighbor rooms.

Great experience. We'll repeat eyes closed if we return to Alicante.

Eurostars Mediterranea Plaza is a great hotel with a good position close to the beach, 5 minutes walking or a lot of good restaurants in old town. For some trips with train, also the Railway Station is at 15 - 20 minutes walking. The staff is really supportive, patient and friendly. I have appreciated all the staff that have made a pleasant stay for holiday, from reception, restaurant and cleaning, keeping all the necessary safe things against COVID. The rooms are very clean with enough space and the breakfast is varied enough, taking into consideration COVID restriction.
I warmly recommend this hotel for holiday or Business trip.

Stayed from 16th to 20th. Paid for a triple room as 3 beds requested even though only 2 persons staying. Main bed was double but only other bed was a pull out sofa bed which had a huge dip in the middle making it impossible to sleep. As it was after midnight when we arrived, we advised the desk next day that it was impossible to use this ‘bed’ and the receptionist said she would inform her Manager. We again checked the following morning and were informed they were waiting on their Maintenance to check, but nothing happened. Reception staff were very friendly but we would respectfully suggest the Manger spend a night trying to sleep on this ‘bed’!! If you are booking a triple room ask if the sofa bed has been replaced in Room 506! Hotel location is excellent within minutes of all amenities. Breakfast is adequate.

Disappointing compared to the ratings. Apparently wifi system doesn’t get in with iPhone security? No tea / coffee making facilities in room? Breakfast was plentiful with cremated scrambled eggs! Good shower! Well located but no real views. Room 301 suffered from a very noisy close 302. Reception staff are good. Rooftop is nice. Comfy bed. Why do hotels give you a “treat” (sweets) for the first night of your stay but not subsequent nights? Alicante has a lot to offer.

This hotel is in a great location, close to the beach, city centre, the old part of Alicante with good tram and bus links. Pleanty of cafes and shops close by and a great buzz in the area.
Our room was well equipped, quiet and clean. The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful.
The only complaint i have is that there is no coffee facility in the room. Otherwise, highly recommended.

We stayed in the Tandem Portal apartments, part of this hotel and a couple of hundred yards up the road. The ladies checking us were most delightful and helpful, it was only lunchtime so they held our luggage until our apartment was ready.

All was smooth, the apartment was clean and functional, and our biggest feeling was it seemed very impersonal and soul-less. All of the apartments have a Street View and although double glazed street noise could be heard all night long, literally even 4 am.

On a positive note, the king-size bed was lovely large and very comfortable. On a negative there is no no English channels on the TV, but plenty in every other language but british.

Answer from Debs L

Here are no facilities to make Tea and Coffee, but there are numerous bars and cafareria close by, There is a mini fridge to keep cold drinks in. You could I soppose take your own mini kettle if really necessary? There is room service too which wasn't too expensive. Enjoy your time in Alicante it is a wonderful city.

There is an underground car park at the port which is a 2 minute walk but is about €15 over night. Or if you go up the main shopping street just west of the hotel there is another underground car park which was about half the price but a 5 minute walk.
