Contacted the owners by whatsapp and were able to reserve a double room with ease. We were greeted and shown our room and through the accommodations (kitchen, laundry, showers, & rest area). They told us to make ourselves at home, get settled, and come down and register when we were ready. A very nice and relaxing way to be welcomed. We had a double room, nice bed, small deck facing the river, clean and spacious. Washrooms are well appointed, good space to shower and change in shared bathrooms (not always the norm in most albergues). Oh and a blow dryer! Laundry sink in one bathroom for hand washing, they will spin dry for free and clotheslines on the decks. They do also have laundry service wash and dry too. Kitchen has all the necessary tools and equipment to make easy meals. There is a market just around the corner. Downstairs in the lobby they offer free tea and coffee all day. They have a beautiful and kind dog that loves people. The owners (or the couple running the establishment) are super kind and show a lot of pride in this place. This was definitely one of our favorite Albergues.

Olivia and her husband are so welcoming this place was the perfect place to stay. I got to walk the very friendly dog Rey (the King) around the town which was amazing and when I needed a Tupperware container to store extra food I cooked Olivia didn’t hesitate to give me one of hers to take and keep- SO NICE! Thank you!

Stayed here in one of the lower rooms. If you don’t like stairs don’t stay here. Rooms are adequate, facilities are good, breakfast is great for 2 euros. On the west side of town on the way out towards the mountains. Short walk to the main plaza. Friendly hosts.

I spent a night here on the Camino Frances and the hospitaleros here are the nicest people of any albergue on the walk. They are avid peregrinos too so they know and understand what walkers need after a long day on the trail. Villafranca is a lovely town too.

Definitely one of the best albergues on the Camino. The couple who run it are lovely, its REALLY well organised, showers are hot, comfortable sleeping, good breakfast for 2€, and you can book online. What more could a weary pilgrim want!

Had a lovely stay in this sweet little albergue. It's very clean and has all the facilities a pilgrim needs (kitchen, big showers, washing service and handwash facilities, fully equipped kitchen, wifi, a hairdryer(!)) The couple that runs the albergue is very welcoming. You can have spontaneous breakfast in the morning for 4€. We had a 3-bed room for 10€ in june with a french balcony. There are also double bed rooms and a shared dorm. Reservation is recommended.

Our room was cool, clean, and comfortable and for 5 euros, we had clean laundry! While this albergue is a bit away from the town square, it's very close to the "recommended" route up into the hills. The breakfast for 2 euros is nice as well. A great way to start our climb.

This is absolutely the best Albergue so far !!!! From the minute you walk in, you feel so welcome. The couple there has the place, welcomes you with tea, coffee or water and ask you to sit down for a minute. No stress just relax. You are finally here. They take pre-bookings thought WhatsApp but be sure to stay here because it is so popular!!! The shared room with the beds, is so big and not overcrowded!!! It is nice and clean and they offer you to centrifuges you hand washed clothe, when you are done, so it will dry quicker. And the best is that the shower stays hot even after 5 minutes.... Go across the street and dip your feet into the nice and cold river water. My feet loves me for that one !!!

Found this place by accident. It is really lovely. Very modern. It was built up against a rock face and some if that rock is part of the hotel. Our room was a double so very quiet. Bathrooms and kitchen were well maintained. I saw the dorm part and it was very clean as well. Staff were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was available for a very reasonable 2€!
