I don’t usually review hotels, but we have just had the most amazing week at Hotel Migjorn. We have never felt so relaxed with our 4 and 2 year old and this is all down to the atmosphere and facilities provided here.

Within the room we had a big bedroom that was able to fit two junior size beds in. We also had a kitchen living area where we could have put the beds and within this area you had everything you would need for making travelling with a baby or toddler easier. There were also toys in the room and a bathroom that had a potty, child toilet seat and foot stool. We also a huge balcony with sun loungers and a smaller balcony with chairs.

The bedroom had shutters that blacked out the room and there was also extra black out blinds offered if we wanted to move the beds into the living area.

The pool was heated and perfect for the girls to play and learn to swim, there were gradual steps into the pool and it got deeper in the middle. There were loads of floats and toys and armbands that were communal, which meant the girls didn’t get bored and we didn’t need to buy anything new.

There was a small sheltered playground close to the restaurant with toys also and the pool and playground toys were replenished with new ones while we stayed.

There were also beach umbrella’s, toys and towels available to take with us to the beach which was perfect as the beaches in August were busy.

Birgit and Jonas were the most lovely hosts and made the effort to help us and guide us when we needed it. They sent out an information pack before we arrived and this had so many family friendly ideas/trips, which we had not found when searching ourselves beforehand.

And last but not least, the food was INCREDIBLE!

‘Luxury to me is not about buying expensive things; it's about living in a way where you appreciate things‘ This truly sums up Hotel Migjorn.

The hotel is a reformed typical majorcan villa with only suites for families. Our children are 8 and 5 years old and although the hotel is fully prepared for families with smaller kids they still had a great time. The staff is very friendly. The owners, Birgit and Jonas are very kind and they always have time for a small chat with the guests. They were very helpful to us and very patient with our children.
The restaurant has a nice menu with delicious food (I recommend the ceviche!). I personally missed some more spanish dishes but I think this is directly related to the guests choices so far.
The location of the hotel is also ideal, so close to Es Trenc and to other beautiful small beaches (Cala Mondragó, Cala Santanyí, etc.). And also only half an hour to the airport.
I have been trying to think about something negative or not so good at the hotel, but I could not figure out anything. I was a dream, specially in the middle of this surreal times we are living in...

This was our third time to Hotel Migjorn and despite a change of owner and the covid period, it was wonderful to return and see that life carries on as normal at this beautiful spot. The new owners have kept the same vibe and it remains very family friendly with lots of little touches but they have also improved the standard of food and simplified the menus. Being a small hotel you often have the pool to yourselves yet with a few other families staying there are always friends for the children, even if they speak different languages. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and always make it appear like nothing is too much trouble. Having the little kitchenette in your room is really helpful with children in tow and the rooms are very spacious.
We loved visiting some favourite beaches and restaurants as well as discovering some new gems. The closest beach is just 10 minutes away but within half an hour drive you can explore a huge variety of beaches and the local area. The market at Santanyi was a good new discovery and the children loved a visit to Aqua Land water park this year too!
Thanks to all the team for another fantastic trip and we look forward to returning next year.

Super relaxed Finca-Hotel that specializes in family vacations. Food and Drinks are superb but in such a low key setting that everyone immediately feels at ease, kids are happily playing and parents enjoy hassle free meals. There are plenty of toys in the pool and playground area and more that one can take along to the beach. Car rental is a must, there is enough parking space available and beaches and towns a short ride from the hotel. We had a wonderful stay and thank Birgit, Jonas, Samuel and all the friendly staff in the background for their hospitality.

WOW WOW WOW! What an incredibly special place! I feel very fortunate to have found this hotel for holidaying with a young family. It was kitted out with toys in the room, swings, a playground, loads of pool toys, beach toys and the staff also loved kids too. The rooms were lovely and spacious and well laid out for families. We placed our daughters cot in the living room so we could put her down there and still have the privacy of our bedroom and bathroom which worked well for those of you that have children napping in the day/go to bed early at night (take a monitor).
Honestly this is one the best holidays we have ever been on. It managed to make us relax even though we were away with a child! I spent my afternoons reading in the hammock while she did a nice long nap in her cot in the room. The hotel was never too busy and just managed to strike a nice balance of having people and kids around but not overwhelming. We also loved playing with all the other children in the pool too which was fun.
The lunch and evening food was truly outstanding and we did barely any cooking...the menu changes daily. It felt like we didn't need to go out! Other guests who became our friends commented to us that they had every intention of going out to restaurants but just hadnt because of how good the hotel food was! Also breakfast is fab and exactly what you need on holiday with lots of options for kids.
The hosts and staff we all wonderful and really accomodating.
You are located near to some lovely beaches and towns so also great location.
Don't hesitate and book this place. We will be back for sure! Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful time with Birgit and Jonas and their team with 2 children (4+9).
The service was perfect, as was the atmosphere and the food was a dream.
The breakfast buffet is varied and delicious, the dinner (we had half board) was also a dream. At the barbecue evening, Jonas shows who's boss.
The staff are kind to the children, you can enjoy the time in a relaxed manner and if something goes wrong, it's no problem for anyone.
The location is absolutely quiet, about 30 minutes from the airport and about 10 minutes from the beaches (sandals are available to borrow).
The suites are spacious, with a small kitchenette so you can make yourself a little something.
We'll be back!

We’ve just returned from 10 days at Hotel Migjorn with our 2 children (4 and 2). We had the most wonderful time- the hotel itself is fantastic, with beautifully kept gardens and pool area and the rooms are well equipped and spacious. The restaurant was fab-delicious buffet breakfasts and a wide and varied menu from which to order lunch and dinner if you wanted. The children absolutely loved trying different food and making friends in the pool and play areas. The hotel is really well located with lots of different beaches within easy reach by car and only 30 mins from Palma. Jonas and his team were wonderful-nothing was ever too much trouble. We can’t wait to return next year!

Another fabulous holiday at Hotel Migjorn this summer. With all the hesitation as to whether we should/would be able to come for our annual summer trip because of COVID 19, it was extra special that we were able to come again! We felt so safe with all the safety measures in place - more so in Mallorca at the hotel then back at home! The food as always was phenomenal and the extra mile they took to cater for our vegan and gluten-free diets is hugely appreciated. Despite the horrible worldwide situation with COVID-19, the staff at the hotel maintained the charm and attention to detail as always and created an absolutely wonderful holiday for all of us and we are so very grateful.

This hotel is wonderful and a real gem of a find. Perfect for both adults and children. We just returned from 10 nights with our 3 boys (10, 8 and 3). The hotel is beautiful and staff wonderful. Very friendly and always happy to help. Samuel particularly was great with the children. Even coordinating a water fight with the boys at one point. It felt like the perfect combination of seclusion and quietness
Of a villa but with the benefits of having your room cleaned and a lovely restaurant right there.

With only 10 rooms the families all tend to mix and the kids play wonderfully with each other either on the football pitch or the little playground or balance bikes. All families were friendly and the boys made many new friends.

Have never been to a hotel like this before and we much preferred it to large complexes which always feel busy and stressful.

Would recommend to hire a car to see the many beautiful beaches.

The Hotel Migjorn offers everything we could wish for. The apartment was perfectly furnished, the facilities at the Hotel were absoluteley great, the breakfast and food at the Restaurant delicious. The staff was super friendly and helpful when needed. We appreciated the most, that we felt free and comfy as we were at home. Birgit and Jonas, the hosts, take care of everything with much love for details. For an absolute relax you can get beach towels and toys, parasol and other stuff for free. We also were lucky to have a Halloween party there, which was perfectly organized for parents and children. We really hope to be able to go back to Migjorn as soon as possible!

Hi there. Yes I had the very same question before we went to Migjorn. The living room is large so there’s plenty of room for extra beds in there if you don’t want to share your bedroom with the kids. We decided to share our room with the kids and then we enjoyed having the terrace to ourselves to sit out in the evenings and strolling through the living room to grab refreshments etc without waking the kids. We had a cot and a small single bed in our room for the kids but lots of other families chose to set up the living room for the kids. Hope this helps. We really had a great holiday there.

Sorry for the late answer, but maybe interesting for other people too. Yes, the hotel is populated by babies/toddlers, honestly even our 4yo seemed sort of too old... toys were much more suited for his 1yo brother...

We also went with 4 year old twins and plan to return next year (I’ve never been to the same place twice!) It’s a big bedroom and their beds were on the other side of the room to the toilet so we found no issue with waking them. We stayed in the room right above the restaurant so we just put them to bed and went down again to socialise afterwards... or sat on the balcony ... there is a living room but it felt too nice to sit inside. You can easily pop downstairs to the loo if needed from that room Loved this place and unless they are uber light sleepers the arrangement works really well

Hello, Yes the hotel is open until the beginning of November. We have lots of families with children during september and october as the weather is nice and still warm in the sea. Our large outdoor pool is heated to 26 degrees as well. If you have any questions please email the hotel or call me directly on +34 634 326 772. Kind regards, Peter
