We spent a weekend at the hotel at the end of February. The hotel itself is a delight with attention given to every detail. Unlike other tripadvisor reviewers we found the bedrooms warm and comfortable. Magui greeted us with no enthusiasm, presenting us with a typed 'what not to do' list and asking for credit card details within minutes of...

My wife and I went to Gran Canaria to walk in the magnificent mountainous interior, NOT to fight the crowds on the beaches. The Hotel Rural Las Calas is ideally placed to do this, with a few walks available from just behind the village, others needing a short journey by hire car (buses are available, too). The temperatures are cooler...

If you are looking for lovely food and wine, lots of peace and quite and a wonderful sense of being in the heart of Gran Canaria, then you could not pick a better hotel. My wife and I spent a relaxing week at the Las Calas in early March 2006. This is a tiny but attractive hotel with only seven bedrooms and a small staff to match. This makes for a low key un-pressured stay that is pleasantly free of the institutional feel of most hotels and leaves guests to find their own amusements....

We had booked for seven nights in february 2006 based on recommendations on your site but were very disappointed with several aspects of the hotel. On arrival the room was cold and the bedding felt damp.Despite turning the radiators up to maximum we did not get warm that night. We had booked a table in the restaurant for that evening...
