Travellers' Choice

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An absolutely wonderful experience. You can feel the medieval vibe yet the accommodations are charming and modern. The staff were most welcoming and the restaurant breakfasts were delicious. The location is lovely and situated on a hill with breathtaking views. Nearby are easy hikes, cute towns and a beautiful stream. All in all a very magical experience.

Property's Favourite Review
We visited the restaurant last night with some good friends. The restaurant is a lovely place to be and the food was marvellous. It is slightly more expensive than we pay normally ( we spent 45 euros each on three courses and wine) but everything was delicious and very fresh. Many English groups go walking in the Valnerina, and we would recommend the restaurant for a lovely meal, friendly staff and good value. They have rooms so that people can stay as well. Scheggino is a delightful place to visit. It includes the Urbani truffle museum, several restaurants and a shop and lovely walks all around. We had the truffle pasta , a 'porchetta' of rabbit, the beef and the fish, amongst other things. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious!

The tranquility, decor, music, amenities the spa offers are amongst the best I've ever been blessed to indulge in. Whomever had the vision to strategically place the building in such a perfect spot should be rewarded. It was beyond a 5 star experience...

We stayed for three nights. Very romantic little complex in a rustic town. The appartments are located in the small streets of the town. There are a lot of stairs, but they are not steep. Downside is that there are no balconies nor is there a pool. But we knew that of course when we booked.

The tiny town is lovely. We have gotten a nice clean room in an upper town. We stayed at the place for three nights and there was no Wi-Fi in the room, although it was supposed to be. When we asked the owner about it, he told us that it does not depend on him. In the office, there was Wi-Fi, so we think that he didn’t connect us. On the day when we had to leave, we asked for a help with our luggage and they refused. They told us that the little electric car that can carry the luggage down the hill is broken. Therefore, we had to use our own car that was big and very tricky to drive up the hill.

We were pleasantly surprised at this lovely hotel in the small village of Scheggino. The apartments are well equipped and modern bathrooms plus spacious bedrooms and very comfortable beds. The views from our apartment were spectacular and it was fun exploring the village and surrounding area. The price is very reasonable and there are some great restaurants within walking distance. We had a small car so we were able to park up by the apartments. Friends were in a van and had to leave the van by their check in area. They were brought up to the apartments by a golf cart. A person with a disability could stay here but would need to drive to the restaurants because there are lots of steps. Enjoyed our whole visit. We did have the breakfast offered via the hotel which was 5 Euro but was just basically a continental breakfast. A few ordered cappuccinos & were charged extra. My hubby and I ended up stopping at a store in Spoleto and picking up some breakfast items. Highly recommend this place and would love to return some day.
