We arrived at 13:45, exhausted having travelled overnight from London. We anticipated that, so had chosen this hotel to relax by the pool for the afternoon. The hotel was deserted and reception was locked closed, even though the sign displayed said it was open to 14:30. So we phoned. They wouldn't come to unlock the door and check us in...

Very friendly staff, a great warm welcome. We had arrived in south of France with no where to stay, looked and booked this fabulous hotel. Rooms a little dated but were fine for the price paid, we stayed for 4 days. Food at breakfast (which was included in price) was basic but ok. Pool was fab, a little on the...

Clean, but dated. Very friendly staff. Conveniently located near a grocery, within1km walk of Saint Chinian. Restaurant not open for dinner the night we were there, but there were a few restaurants in the village. Pool was very clean. Breakfast adequate and included in price, free parking.

Booking.com advises that check-in is open until 10pm and the hotel's website says check in is open until 10.30pm. We received a phone call advising that if we did not check in by 9.30pm our booking would be cancelled. We arrived at 9.25pm and the hotel was locked up and the restaurant closed. The lady in charge finally appeared and...

We only visited for a short stay en route further east, but in spite of unassuming arrival, the hotel was a pleasant surprise. The hotel was well sign posted, though access on arrival was not obvious (to me). The proprieter was welcoming, and room was available. Accommodation was basic but comfortable, exactly what was needed, and the location of the...

Prebooked this accommodation with Booking.com. 2 adults and 2 dogs. Arrived at accommodation, no one to meet us, hotel locked up with a note on the door for us to phone when we arrived. Tried to phone but only answer phone. Then person arrived from inside hotel and opened the door. He said we could not stay with the dogs...

We stayed two nights at Le Pressoir in September 2011 and were made most welcome by the proprietor and all the staff. While the bedroom was not enormous it was very adequate and comfortable and the bathroom was fine, lots of hot water. We slept very well, no traffic noise at all. Breakfast was good, no complaints there, and the...

The room was so hot we couldn't actually sleep despite the fan. If the curtains were closed the windows had to be as well. Felt exhausted. Food was OK, but one of the waitresses refused point blank to let us eat out at the tables under the trees - not for people on demi pension I assume. I tackled the...

We live near St Chinian but this was the first visit to Le Pressoir. We only ate at this restaurant (thank goodness). Food awful - The egg mimosa was an unappetising, inedible grey offering on salad that must have been plated hours before. The vegetables were hardly warm at all. One of the worst meals we have had in the...

We'd had a long day driving through the beautiful Herault countryside and were tired and despairing of finding anywhere to stay when I found this hotel, called them up and booked a room believing it to be in the lower to middle end price range as this was early June. We arrived at the roundabout and found the hotel which...
