We had a wonderful family holiday at The Granary, celebrating 10th, 30th and 60th birthdays. Our family ages from 7 weeks old to 60 and it was perfect for everyone. On arrival, the woodburner was roaring and the barn was lovely and warm. Everything was clean and kitchen equipment for every purpose we needed. The information pack gave us great information and we made good use of the very friendly local butcher, the farm shop and local pubs and restaurants.
The barn is in a great location and within minutes we were driving along horse and cattle filled areas. Great walks everywhere and we ventured out for a great day at Stonehenge and some paint painting in Christchurch.
The games room was great for the children and adults.
The kitchen and dining area perfect for a big group to enjoy time together
Thank you - we thoroughly recommend you

Just spent a fabulous four days from 23rd to 27th December 2019, with family and friends at the Granary Barn. We also hired Teal Cottage to accommodate all our guests, including Zephyr the dog. We wish to say a big thank you to John & Bridget for enabling us to have such a fantastic Christmas - everyone had a terrific time. The venue was perfect for so many people and the Granary looked very festive with the lovely tree and decorations. Sadly, we were unable to make the most of the wonderful New Forest walks as the area was very badly flooded by the recent rains, However, this did mean we made full use of the games room and much fun was had playing board games etc. in the spacious lounge.

This property blew us away. The Granary was so welcoming with a raging wood burner and a real massive Christmas tree decked out.
The accommodation was perfect for our family group of 20 adults and 6 children. We also hired The Swan, The Heron and The Teal holiday cottages which were all extremely well equipped.
The Granary has a bathroom or shower room with each of the 6 double/twin bedrooms and the gallery had 4 single beds made up.
This property also has use of an extremely large games room which was a fantastic addition.
There is ample parking for loads of cars and even an electric hook up.
The kitchen had 2 ovens and 2 dishwashers and was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need.
The outhouse has a large chest freezer and drinks fridge in addition.
The owners were extremely helpful and welcoming.
We also had the local Bridges come in and cook a Sunday dinner which was fabulous and throughly recommend. Leanne the owner was very helpful and the food was lovely.

Beautiful property in a lovely setting. The barn is very well equipped with all the cooking and cleaning utensils you would need. Main lounge/diner is a great social space. Property was left nice and clean with fresh bedding and towels provided. Would love to come back.

24 of us have just returned from a 2 night / 3 day stay with Burgate Manor Farm.
We booked all of the accommodation available which gave almost all of us a room to ourselves.
John and his family couldn't have been more accommodating, allowing us to visit ahead of our stay to be able to plan the space and our time and also to drop off some things beforehand. Nick even helped with the unloading of my car.
The space in the main barn was perfect for what we needed. We were able to fit 23 people around the table for dinner and still have space to cook, serve and clean in the kitchen area.
The Games barn kept the men busy throughout the day time and a lovely walk behind the farm took us to a delightful pub for lunch as recommended by Nick and his wife.
This break was exactly what was needed and John and his family couldn't have done any more. They have introduced robust measures to reduce the risk around COVID including extra cleaning products and sanitiser in each building as well as fogging the properties before we entered.
We will be back for sure!

We had a family Easter Weekend at the Granary Barn. It was just perfect for our 8 adults and 8 children (all under 13) Plenty of space to run around. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bonus of an 'outhouse' with extra large freezer and fridge. The fire was lit when we arrived which was very welcoming with plenty of logs to burn. Games barn was excellent for the kids who played safely there. They had table football, billiards and a small tennis court.
Saturday morning was particularly fun when we helped feed the chickens, ducks and turkeys. The owners could not have been more helpful to us. We even got to chat to the other holiday makers staying in the smaller cottages on the farm. Bbq area was great as was the grassy area for our use. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed. We all just loved staying in the barn and are still talking about our brilliant weekend away.
In the area: Moors park (about 15mins drive) is excellent, the car park is expensive but when you get into the park you see why... lots to do for everyone, including the park run on a Saturday morning and kids run on the Sunday. Three of our party did the Saturday adult park run then we stayed on in the park for the rest of the day (yes there is that much to see and do)... From the barn you can walk over the bridge to the meadows behind the farm, we had a dog so that was great. Lyndhurst and Lymington are worth a visit. Walking in the New Forest, ice cream and Fordingbridge for coffee are a must.
We hope to go back sometime..

We booked Burgate Manor for our Mums 70th Birthday Celebration....there was 40 of us spread out over The Granary, Mallard, Swan,Teale Kingfisher and Heron. John the owner and his family were easy to communicate with and on hand for any problems ( we didnt have any ) ......The Granary is a great space for a family get together .....it was lovely and clean on arrival and had absolutely everything you could need to cater for approx 40-50 guests. We held a party in the garden on the Saturday night and asked a local Fish and Chip van The Happy Fryer to come along and cook they were able to set up and access through a gate at the end of the Garden easily. The garden of the granary has a small barn in it with pool and table tennis tables and there were 2-3 BBqs in the garden also you can cook on as well as seating for up to 50 people approx. We spent saturday afternoon on a walk from the back of the house up to the Fighting Cocks pub at Godshill where the donkeys congregate so all the children thought this was great the walk took approx 1 Hr -1 Hr 15 mins but we did have small children with us. We had a hot weekend so a trip to have a dip in the river at Fordenbridge was a must as was a nice meal sitting outside The George in Fordinbridge the food was lovely. The children/teenagers loved the games barn and being able to be a little independent hanging out in there. We will definitley try and return for another family celebration in the future.

We rented two of the cottages (Swan and Heron) for a weekend in early October in order to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary with our daughters, partners and dogs. They were ideal.
The cottages were comfortable, spacious, beautifully appointed and fully equipped with everything you would need fora stay. Both had good sized bedrooms, beds and storage space, spacious living areas with comfortable sofas and good size dining tables, and spacious, fully equipped open plan kitchens. In addition, our cottage had a table that could be extended to seat ten people, of which we made full use for our celebration dinner.
The cottages are set in a quiet corner of the farm yard, with ample parking and individual enclosed patio areas with picnic tables, where we sat for coffee one sunny morning, and a barbecue. The farmyard is quiet and peaceful and gives easy access for walks, either across the Avon bridge to the beautiful water meadows and beyond to the Giant's Grave hills or over the private farm land to which guests have full access. The area teems with bird life.
The owner of the cottages welcomed us most warmly, gave us lots of useful advice for our stay and was a genial presence in the farmyard throughout.
As we only had a weekend, and much of it taken up with family news and celebrations, we did not venture far from the farm. But Fordingbridge is close, has useful shops ( though Tesco will make pre-arranged deliveries to the cottages) and a pleasant, friendly and welcoming Riverside pub, The George, which has a good gastropub menu and excellent Sunday roasts.
All in all, it is top quality self-catering accommodation with all the comforts in a lovely peaceful setting. We had the perfect golden celebration weekend

Loved this cottage, had everything you could need, was very clean and comfortable. The enclosed outside space with table, chairs and bbq was great, we could leave the doors open or sit out knowing our little dogs were safe. The area was lovely, with walks on our doorstep and it was easy enough to walk into Fordingbridge for a meal in the evening. Well positioned for driving into the New Forest or to historic towns. Communication prior to our holiday was friendly and helpful. Would definitely use again and highly recommend.

We hired the Granary for a family Easter get together, along with six dogs. It was our second trip to Burgate Manor Farm and on arrival we felt we had come home. We are all are very keen to repeat the experience on a regular basis. The barn is so well stocked with everything you could need and is so clean, comfortable and cosy. John and family are so welcoming. The surrounding area is beautiful too and the sunny weather enabled us to explore the surrounding area with plenty to do for all - a trip to Old Sarum, attendance at Salisbury's football ground for a footie match, a trip to a local brewery and farm shop, a playpark on the banks of the Avon and of course plenty of walks in the New Forest, where the Grandchildren were enthralled by the ponies and the little brooks. Although we had no need to light the log burner this visit, the supply of logs was a great asset on our previous visit (during the weekend of storm Dennis), when it kept us warm and dry.
