Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We hired the whole site for a 60th birthday weekend celebration with family and friends. Everyone was very complimentary about all of the accommodation but singled out the Granary as an amazing space to all come together. The party barn was a particular hit with young and old alike and luckily, the weather allowed us to have a couple of lovely walks around the water meadows and farm lands. Many thanks to John and his family for all of their support both before and during our event. We will definitely be using your site again!

Organised a stag weekend. Booked for 19 people so we had a cottage and the big barn. More than enough plates and glasses to accommodate such a large group. I didn't manage to fish in the stream but I did pop in for quick dip every morning. Everyone was really happy with the booking. On the first day John picked me up in his buggy and took me around the farm as a little added bonus to show me the facilities they had to offer.

We stayed for a little over a week and have already booked my return visit. Everything was perfect on our week stay at burgate manor farm, the farmers are friendly and helpful, lots to see and do on the farm and in the area, cottages are wonderfully comfortable. The kids loved the experience of feeding and petting the animals, as well as exploring the seemingly never-ending expanse of greenery. Everything was well-kept, clean, and tidy including the games barn

Excellent weekend stay at Burgate Manor Farm!!!! We had the Barn & 5 of the cottages as there were 37 of us!!! Excellent set up, very high standard & friendly welcome!!! couldn't fault a thing!! We went into Bournemouth for the day on Saturday on the bus, the bus stop is literally right outside, took about 50 mins and only cost £16 return for a family of 4!!! On the Sunday we all walked to The George Pub where the service was outstanding & the food was lovely!!! If your looking for a place to stay especially for a large group, then Burgate Manor Farm is the place!!!!!

Our 2nd stay at Burgate Manor farm and it was once again excellent. We were a big group of 17 in the granary and grebe. But the granary felt very spacious and we particularly enjoyed the table tennis and pool. We were on a group cycling trip and it was a great place to explore the rest of the New Forest

We had such a fantastic weeks holiday with family and friends, celebrating 2 big birthdays. We had The Granary and Mallard, and they were perfect for us. The weather made our stay even better, we had a few barbecues and were outside every evening. A beautiful walk to Woodgreen, our family’s old home village, was lovely to see again. Thanks to our host John and his family who were all very kind and helpful with any questions we had. We will definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun place for celebrating and exploring the region.

Room Tip: It’s a working farm, so don’t expect it to be absolutely quiet.

We booked Burgate Manor for our Mums 70th Birthday Celebration....there was 40 of us spread out over The Granary, Mallard, Swan,Teale Kingfisher and Heron. John the owner and his family were easy to communicate with and on hand for any problems ( we didnt have any ) ......The Granary is a great space for a family get together .....it was lovely and clean on arrival and had absolutely everything you could need to cater for approx 40-50 guests. We held a party in the garden on the Saturday night and asked a local Fish and Chip van The Happy Fryer to come along and cook they were able to set up and access through a gate at the end of the Garden easily. The garden of the granary has a small barn in it with pool and table tennis tables and there were 2-3 BBqs in the garden also you can cook on as well as seating for up to 50 people approx. We spent saturday afternoon on a walk from the back of the house up to the Fighting Cocks pub at Godshill where the donkeys congregate so all the children thought this was great the walk took approx 1 Hr -1 Hr 15 mins but we did have small children with us. We had a hot weekend so a trip to have a dip in the river at Fordenbridge was a must as was a nice meal sitting outside The George in Fordinbridge the food was lovely. The children/teenagers loved the games barn and being able to be a little independent hanging out in there. We will definitley try and return for another family celebration in the future.

We hosted my friends hen do at The Granary over a bank holiday weekend and it was absolutely perfect. We weren't sure what the weather would be doing so wanted a house with ample indoor dining/living space, which The Granary absolutely delivered. As it turns out, we also managed to enjoy the large outdoor dining area thanks to the sunshine! It's rare to find a large house like this with so many twin bedrooms - ideal for large groups of friends who don't fancy sharing beds. The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped, although it took us a few minutes to locate the second fridge & freezer (in an outbuilding just outside the house!). We booked a local chef (Heidi - Cellar & Pantry) whose team was excellent and produced a delicious 3-course dinner. The local pub The George in Fordingbridge is also well worth a visit for Sunday lunch!

The Granary is well kitted out with everything one could need. The kitchen and equipment have been well thought out, with generous amounts of crockery, table ware and glasses.Plenty of space but cosy, the Granary must be well insulated as we stayed warm with just the log burner alight. The beds are comfortable and the number of bathrooms made for easy preparations morning and evening. A small problem with a light bulb was sorted quickly, as the very friendly owners are on site. i shall definitely go back for another family gathering in the future.

We had a family Easter Weekend at the Granary Barn. It was just perfect for our 8 adults and 8 children (all under 13) Plenty of space to run around. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bonus of an 'outhouse' with extra large freezer and fridge. The fire was lit when we arrived which was very welcoming with plenty of logs to burn. Games barn was excellent for the kids who played safely there. They had table football, billiards and a small tennis court. Saturday morning was particularly fun when we helped feed the chickens, ducks and turkeys. The owners could not have been more helpful to us. We even got to chat to the other holiday makers staying in the smaller cottages on the farm. Bbq area was great as was the grassy area for our use. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed. We all just loved staying in the barn and are still talking about our brilliant weekend away. In the area: Moors park (about 15mins drive) is excellent, the car park is expensive but when you get into the park you see why... lots to do for everyone, including the park run on a Saturday morning and kids run on the Sunday. Three of our party did the Saturday adult park run then we stayed on in the park for the rest of the day (yes there is that much to see and do)... From the barn you can walk over the bridge to the meadows behind the farm, we had a dog so that was great. Lyndhurst and Lymington are worth a visit. Walking in the New Forest, ice cream and Fordingbridge for coffee are a must. We hope to go back sometime..
