This is beautiful and peaceful hotel, we enjoyed a couple of days of rest and connected with nature. The staff super friendly and professional. I recommend going on a weekday, it is quiet and relaxing. We had wonderful meals at the restaurant, I will definitely go back.

We have been at Los Palomos throughout the last 8 years and always come back and this year we did it not once but twice! The beautiful gardens, comfortable rooms, nice restaurant and above all, its wonderful staff makes this place unique. The rooms are spacious, very clean and all the place is very well maintained. The attentive staff is always ready to help arranging tours, providing guidance about what to do, and fulfilling any request. We will come back again in 2023 more than once!

We really enjoyed our stay in this peaceful hotel in beautiful surroundings. Interconnecting rooms are perfect for families and there’s little play park and sandpit for the kids too. The staff were really accommodating, serving meals outside the normal restaurant hours to allow for the kids’ sleep schedules. The food itself was relatively basic but tasty. The only negative (and it’s hardly within the hotel’s control) was the prevalence of insects. Make sure you take very strong bug spray as they are very aggressive and bite a lot.

We went to Los Palomos with three other families, because it had been recommended. We found it's more pricey than others in the vicinity, without offering more facilities (relatively small pool, access to river but no clear path to bathe there, no ping pong, table soccer, volleyball, etc., that you can find in other hotels). The worst was service. The receptionist at the hotel was not agreeable or open to suggestions. There's no WiFi in the rooms (only in reception!). Lastly, food took a long time to be served and waitresses had unfriendly faces! I don't think we'll show up again there!

Thank you for your comments. We try to be more orientated to ecology and nature, a peaceful place for guests to relax in a quiet ambiance. Wifi, being in the country side, is very difficult, but we do have access in most parts of the hotel for our guests needs. But, thank you for your comments, Marion

I had the chance to visit this hotel and my expectations were exceeded by both the beauty of its location and by the quality of service provided by Jose Luis. Looking forward to recommending this hotel to my friends and family back home.

As an expat who lives in Lima, I'm always looking for places to get out for the weekend. My husband and I came to this hotel last weekend with a group of friends. We had an AMAZING time -- great food (gourmet taquenos), very friendly and accommodating staff (speaks a little English if you have no Spanish), and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and tranquil -- make sure to bring bug spray though, there are quite a few biting bugs (not mosquitos), however you'll find that at every hotel in Lunahuana. We even brought our own wine and snacks and were able to lay out by the pool and read and chat, and have a great time. But the best part is the honesty of the people who work here. I stupidly left my wedding ring on the dresser in the room and didn't even realize it until the next day when I was getting dressed for work. Total nightmare. Obviously, I freaked out and assumed that even if someone did find it, I would never see it again. It's so easy to stick in a pocket and pretend it was never found. Amazingly, when we called, the person at the front desk went looking for it, found it, and was honest about it! We're a bit of a forgetful family, and we've left things in other Peruvian hotels, such as headphones, and when we returned within an hour of checking out, the items were "never seen" and had magically disappeared. Luckily, we were able to run back up to Lunahuana and get my ring. Wow! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing, clean, beautiful place to spend some time, where you can feel at ease knowing that the people around you are good, solid people you can trust.…

Probably the most secluded hotel in Lunahuana. It is on a plot by the river, down out of sight of the highway. The rooms are arranged in clusters around a large pretty garden which has been well thought out and has lots of sheltered benches that allow you to relax and enjoy. The rooms are small and variable, each with its own terrace or seating area. A and B are near the entrance. They are small and overlook each other. When the hotel is full they are probably not that peaceful. The inside is spartan and lacks basic comforts. Ours had a bed too large for the space so there were no bedside tables or lights - you had to get out of bed to turn the light off. the shower, while large and good did not have a soap holder. There are newer blocks in a back garden that are more secluded and may be better appointed. There are also some on the main garden but they are less private and near the animal cages which means smells and noise. Beware of being too close to the river as it can be very loud in the rainy season. The pool area is pleasant. The Dining room is spare as is the lounge around the fire. Overall the effect is of a hotel 20 or 30 years old that has had little done since then - it lacks an eye for detail and the presence of the owner. For example the hotel is dotted with model ships - cute except they are dusty and falling apart, perched on top of speakers randomly stuffed into window areas with no attempt to look nice. The newish restaurant extension has a lovely view of the river but one set of windows looks out on bits of building rubble that no one bothered to pick up. WIFI does not reach the common areas The food was very good and the staff delightful. There is little to do in the area apart form some white water rafting, so you would come here for a relaxed flop by the pool with friends. Very small children would also enjoy it. There is a very good, very rustic restaurant nearby called El Refugio de Santiago. Many people stop at El Piloto on the way in or back. If this sounds picky, it is meant to be given the price and its reputation. A two night stay rivals Viñac (2 hours away) in price but offers less. You could have a weekend in Cusco for only a little more. Rooms start at somewhere around $137 a night. I say somewhere because it is impossible to be sure what the price you booked is. The booking websites say all-in but in fact you have pay taxes on top and there is a muddle about what price you booked. Don't assume the hotel is full unless you have called directly and insisted they check - we were assured to was full but we were the only 3 couples. And the clerk tried to charge us a different rate even when we showed him the e-mail from the hotel.…

Great place to stay and relax away from the busy life in Lima. We went for the weekend with my two girls (7 and 1 1/2) and they had a blast. Food was ok, not the best and not much variety, but it wasn't bad. Great service!
