Akasaka, Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.

We stayed on the 25th floor in the Garden wing. What a painful shock when I woke. The soft lumpy old bed gave me very bad back pain. My friday ski plans had to be put aside. Of my dozen times visiting Japan and skiing, this is the first time experiencing a bad old bed. I

Arrived in the port of Yokohama on a cruise ship and following disembarkation travelled to Tokyo and checked into the Hotel New Otani and was offered a room in the Garden Tower on the 28th floor which offered good views of the city. The room was modern, comfortable, clean and

The New Otani has 39 restaurants, a private Japanese garden and many room styles, but it manages to provide a personal service that makes you feel at home. A wonderful breakfast with a view of the gardens, roof top bar and restaurant and easy bus shuttle to and from the airports.

This is a very nice hotel - rooms are well furnished with good, firm beds (which I like). There are a good variety of restaurants as well as some shops (the cake shop is popular) and service level is excellent. Breakfast buffet spread is good and the Tower restaurant provides a

You can book the Friendly Limousine Bus directly from the hotel to all 3 Narita terminals. Book at the hotel the day before you leave. Check the bus timetable and find the best departure time. They will ask for your flight number to be sure of timing. Pay on the day you leave. Your bags will be put in the bus for you. Incredibly easy and much cheaper than NEX from Shinjuku Station.

Unfortunately, I can't help you. Our stay in Tokyo was booked as part of a cruise package, which included transportation from Narita to the hotel by private car. However, the drive takes about 90 minutes, if that helps at all.

I do not believe there is a shuttle purposely designed to go to Disneyland area. I would rely on Tokyo public transit system, which more than adequate. From one of the hotel entrance - the one next to a Rolls Royce dealership - walk about 5 minutes to Akasaka-Mitsuke subway station, then take a subway to Tokyo Station, about 5 minutes maybe. Then switch to the JR train that stops at Maihama Station, both Keiyo and Musashino stop here, at it is pretty much at the door step of Disney area. We see lots and lots of kids and parents with strollers riding train with us, both on our way in and our way back (past 11pm). It's totally safe, on time, and no stress from traffic.

The hotel has 30+ restaurants, but is there any that serves Hakata style ramen?
No none of the restaurants in the hotel serve Hakata style ramen, but there are a great Ramen restaurant 10mins walk away that I tried and they had all most styles of ramen: Japan, 〒102-0083 Tōkyō-to, Chiyoda-ku, Kōjimachi, 3 Chome−5-13 麹町AKビル 俺の創作らぁめん 極や There are also plenty other restaurants down the other side of the hotel, I’m sure you will find at least a couple to choose from
