Neighbourhood
Kanda, Akihabara, Ochanomizu
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.

I stayed in a double room on the fifth floor. Location is good and breakfast is provided. However, there were only 2 shower rooms on the fifth floor so we had to queue and wait for our turn. The room is small but the size of the bed was okay.

It's a nice budget hotel with great food. Strategic place, it's only 4min from subway station. Jimbocho station has 3 lines going to different tourist attractions. The double room is good enough for a couple. Shared bathroom is not bad after all. It is clean and well maintained.

Is this hotel more of a hostel? And is it fairly noisy?
Yes, we are more like a hostel. We are located in a residential area therefore, we believe it is not that noisy.
