I don't know for sure. When we checked out in mid January 2018, we received a message from the hotel management that renovations would be undertaken this year. Dates were not indicated. However with the Rugby World Cup being held in 2019 and the Olympics in 2020, I assume that the upgrade would be finalised well before those major events.

We are planning to start the renovation in May 2018 and should be fully renovated on October 2018.
We will also go from a 3 to 4 stars hotel.
