A budget hotel in the middle of Tsukiji Market. While the location was busy during daylight because of fish market activities, it’s too quiet at night with almost no life around. The hotel itself was good. Enough spaces in the room. Breakfast voucher in nearby diners. Walking distance to at least 3 subway stations and Ginza only 10-15 minutes away. Very recommended.

My friends and I stayed at this hotel primarily because we knew we'd be going to the fish market area. I got a single bed room on the 7th floor. The room is fairly small, but this seems pretty typical in Japan. There is a short hallway that leads to a room that just barely fits the bed with a little room on the side. I'm not sure if this is typical in Japan, but they only clean your room once every 5 nights. The room comes with a small washer/dryer combo for those that need to do laundry, a small TV (there were only a few free channels available to watch but there are options to buy movies), a small refrigerator, a small safe, and a AC/Heater (the controls are all in Japanese, look in the welcome booklet for translations). The bathroom is also very small with a low ceiling and narrow bathtub. I would say for anyone that's 6' or taller, your head will likely be touching the ceiling when standing in the bathtub. The hotel has free coffee in the lobby but no food. If you buy the breakfast package, they give you vouchers for a restaurant close by that lets you choose from 6 basic breakfast options (toast, pancakes, congee, etc) plus unlimited drinks from their drink bar (coffee, tea, sodas, juices, etc). There are a bunch of small restaurants and shops just outside the hotel so it is easy to find something to eat in the daytime (they do all seem to close fairly early though). The hotel is also just a short bus ride away from the fish market and is close to a few subway stations so it is convenient to get to some form of public transportation. However, if you are looking to do more of the touristy things in Tokyo outside of the fish market, this hotel isn't in the most central location. Most of the other touristy activities are ~20-30 min away by subway and will usually involve at least one transfer.

The room was nice and the washer/drier machine combo in the room was a nice plus if you have dirty laundry to do. The location was right in Tsukiji market so good food is just downstairs! It's also located near metro stations.

Small as expected. Just posting to say that yes this hotel does have Air Conditioning (AC) (A/C) cool air since I had the same question when I was booking. Weird that other hotels have central air only that cannot be controlled manually.

Just in the outskirts of Tsukiji market. Great location for exploring the great food at the market. The food stands starts literally just outside the hotel entrance. Room were very practical and the bed was nice. Very nice with coffee machine in the lobby. I will definitely stay here again

Like in most Tokyo hotels the room was minute, but with lots of amenities packed in, including a full-size washing machine and drier ( a small packet of washing powder is given for free at check-in), a microwave, trouser press, kettle, hair dryer, etc. The desk was designed to accommodate two people although it was, to say the least, compact. The Japanese are adept at getting the most out of tiny spaces. The bed was lovely and comfortable, but the duvet was a bit short. There were two pillow types including one with beads inside that were really rather therapeutic. The one aspect of the room I did not like was the dark coloured, badly stained carpet, which I felt was dirty. Slippers were provided, but they were not single use, so I would not use them. In any case, they fit Japanese, not Western feet. The staff were helpful, but were very limited in their understanding of English. Breakfast was served at a restaurant at the other end of the block, but a map was provided and so it was easy to find. There was no breakfast buffet and the options from the limited set menu for hotel guests was weird. I had pancakes with salad, complete with salad dressing and syrup, which do not mix at all well. Also, the juices were concentrates that were over-sweet and tasted nothing like their descriptions. We had hoped to be near to the world-famous Tsukiji fish market, so were delighted to step out of the hotel and to find that we were right in the centre of it.

Location: about 3 minutes from Tsukiji station and 5 minutes from Tsukijishijo station. Walk outside and you are in the midst of Tsukiji Outer Market--good for sushi restaurants, street food and all sorts of food and cookware related shops. It's also a reasonable walk to Ginza, about 10-15 minutes. Remember this property used to be "Tokyu Stay Ginza" until the group opened another property at Higashi-Ginza. Common area/reception: functional and nothing special, but free coffee is available. Front desk service is good--as expected in Japan. Room: I stayed at the 18m2 Residential Double as I always avoid semi-doubles. The room shows a bit of age with stained carpets, wallpaper and some nicks on the wall. It's not in bad condition though. As in all Tokyu Stay, there is a washer/dryer in the room so it's very convenient for a trip lasting more than a few days. Free detergent is provided by the front desk. The bathroom is decent sized but lacks a bit of counter space. Water pressure is actually too strong! The negative part is the cleanliness of the room. Upon check-in, I find a bathroom floor that has a few hairs so the vacuuming isn't done well. I almost never see this in a Japanese hotel. Also, the hotel does not clean your room daily though fresh towels are provided. The pillows are also too low and soft for my liking. TV does have CNN for English viewers. Overall, the property has a good location. Facilities might need to be refreshed soon. The cost is very reasonable though even on weekends. Finally, for those interested in heading to the new Toyosu Market, cross the street, turn right and walk about 3 minutes to the bus stop Tsukiji 6-Chome. The Toei bus "市01" (literally, "City-01") takes you to the Toyusu Market in 15 minutes or so. Get off at the last stop. Buses run frequently until 10am. The same bus terminates at Shimbashi in the other direction. It's faster and cheaper than taking the subway + Yurikamome.

Haven't been here for 3 years but remembered that it was ideal and at a very fair price. It is exactly the same. It is located IN (not near) the Tsukiji outer market area, the vigorous remnant of the former fish market that has now located to a sterile area about 2 kms away. Yet it is quiet. But the outer market is just lovely and food starts at 6 a.m.. This hotel is classic Japanese. Small room but immaculately clean with microwave, washer/dryer combo unit, everything in the bathroom you could possibly need, cumfy bed, slippers for the room, slippers for the bathroom, desk, really good WIFI. Perfect location and easy access to a number of subway lines. The most reasonably priced and freshest fish in the city is at your feet! The staff are super responsive and allow storage of luggage without complaint. No free breakfast but that's a bonus in a city of 28 million with wonderful food. You wouldn't want to waste a meal on a complementary breakfast! Unreserved recommendation.

My wife & I stayed here for 2 nights. It's literally in the Tsukiji Fish Market area. Check in was fast & easy. Room size is small just like any other average hotel in Tokyo & clean. Easy 10 min walk to Ginza. Would stay here again if we're looking to stay in the Tsukiji area.

Was looking for a hotel near Tsukiji Fish Market to go for one last tuna auction before they finally move to the new location, and landed on this hotel for its location, price, and that I've stayed at other locations from this chain before. The hotel is easy to locate, across from Tsukiji Hongwanji and there's a big red fish mural on the side of the building. Room: Would say slightly bigger by local standards - there is a washer/dryer in the room (which would be handy if you're staying for more than a few days) and there's the standard minimal storage spaces but enough for your travel needs if you're willing to spread it around and get a little creative too. Bathroom is also standard issue with good water pressure. While the room itself has basically no exterior views (opens into interior building space) the good thing is also that there's no noise from the streets. Bed is comfortable and everything is very clean, as one would expect. Location: One of the primary reasons for choosing this hotel is because it is less than 10min walk from the information centre/building to line up for tuna auction. At that hour (4am) there is no public transportation so if you're staying in a hotel that's not closeby your only option would be taxi (expensive) or walk (long). As it is located in the Outer Tsukiji Market area/block, you have no shortage of restaurants within a 5min walk. If you rather take the subway, Tsukiji Station (Hibiya line) is 5min walk, Higashi-ginza station (Asakusa line) is 10min walk, or 20min walk to Shimbashi station for JR. Excellent location! Intangibles: While the inner market (and tuna auction) will move out of this area in Oct 2018, the popular outer market will remain (is my understanding), so the appeal and positives of this hotel should remain as well.
