The APA hotels are a well-known chain of hotels in Japan. We were staying in Shinbashi Onarimon, Tokyo. The room was very tiny 11 m2 and it that was not so comfortable. Upside was that the bed and shower were good. The downside was that the personel hardly spoke any English and could not help us at all. There is...

Overall - I liked this hotel. Stayed one night on a layover between NRT and HND> It's a close walk to the Monorail with direct service to HND. Two issues with the hotel: the room is big enough for one person - if two people need to get creative with accessing the bed and luggage storage; and there is only...

APA Hotels are not known for luxurious accommodations and this one is no exception. However, it is clean, modern, and a perfectly acceptable place to get a night's rest while in Tokyo. This APA stands out for me because of the massive TV at the foot of the bed and the fact that both the TV and the remote control...

Was cheap ... the room is small but good enough to set up home base while exploring Tokyo. No concierge and shouldn't be expected for the price. Thought the bed was comfortable ... actually overslept because it was like sleeping in a cave. The front desk is SUPER strict about check-in/out times. Will charge you 1,000 JPY for every hour.

The APA was a good deal for a short stay. The location is pretty good, within walking distance to the Tokyo Tower and fun neighborhoods, but it's just off the beaten path so it's nice and quiet. As other reviews state, the rooms are tiny, really tiny but they are clean and comfortable. For 1 person it would be fine...

Small tight room meant for Asian-sizes only. Bed was itchy... Suspect it had bedbugs. My back is still scarred from the marks. Didn't like the tight toilet/bath area No Breakfast but the coffee shop sells really good and cheap coffee (¥150). Staff barely speak English but they are courteous and pleasant.

the smallest room i have ever stayed in. no cupboard, no room for even a carry-on suitcase and dirty. Stains on carpet, dust in corners and huge stain on the wall as if somebody splashed a cup of coffee. Staff not too bad, bathroom quite ok - considering the room is a shoebox.

After a month around Japan, this hotel can be regarded as clean, tidy but small below the average (which is already very small). When I say small, I mean incredibly tiny. Only onw person can move along the room (so to speak). The other is obliged to stay in bed. Biggest bed is 130cm wide. For 2 people that is...

Well located the hotel has no personality. That said it is clean and offer a good value in terms of quality price relation in central Tokio. Very close to underground as well as JR trains. 10 minutes away from Tokyo station by train.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
