Stayed recently for 3 nights on a business trip. Location is very convenient and hotel even though seems to be fairly old is kept in very good shape. Rooms are nice though beds are tiny. Showers are great. Breakfast buffet was also very good. My main issue was service which I found quite poor. Checking in was a nightmare. I...

I arrived at this hotel before the check-in time. The receptionist checked me into a room on the 25th floor, but said the room won't be ready for another half an hour. I went for lunch and after I got back, a new receptionist was there. He told me I have a room on the 8th floor. I complained that...

...stay here. The hotel has 600+ rooms that are a bit tired. Good size rooms for Tokyo that have had minimal refurbishing. Overall an okay hotel in Tokyo, but there are smaller, better ones around for the same price or less. Pros: - great breakfast buffet - great concierge - central location - good bed - all the taxi drivers...

Stayed at ANA Intercontinental during a business trip, the hotel is easy to reach from Haneda airport by train (1 change to Tokyo Metro) (Narita airport is a little further out of Tokyo, but can also be reached by 1 change). Location is excellent, only a short walk to Akasuka office, with lots of restaurants and shops around. The hotel...

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
