Stayed at this hotel for first time. Took Japan Rail from Narita to Shinagawa Station. Exit through easy gate, and the hotel is immediately adjacent to the right when exiting the station. The hotel lobby is located on 26/F. Check in and out was easy. Room was tastefully decorated. Small, but nice bathroom. Plenty of lighting options and 2-prong electrical...

Stayed at the strings in Tokyo for 3 days during January. This smallish hotel has a lot to offer including a great location (right next to Shinagawa Station). The rooms are a good size for Tokyo and the bathrooms are very well appointed and functional. The service at this hotel is excellent. Staff are friendly and approachable. The hotel lobby...

We stayed here on December 26th overnight on arrival in Japan prior to travelling. The hotel is so close to the station which was very convenient for us as we had a lot of luggage. The hotel is by far the best one we have stayed in in Japan. The rooms are luxurious with lovely bathrooms and a very comfortable...

Stayed for five days in October - fabulous property right near train station with easy connections to all points around Tokyo. The room was modern, spacious by Japanese standards and the bathroom was according to the wife the best outfitted ever seen. Having never visited Tokyo before, I was concerned about proximity to all the sights but we quickly mastered...

This is an upmarket hotel that takes aim at the swish luxury traveller or executive businessman who is lucky. This is not a hotel for families. We liked: - the ambience - the proximity to the train station - super close but they could have a porter service to the actual station for that price. - the view (starting at...

I was a bit anxious booking a day or so before arrival. This was the only 5* that had rooms over New Year but it worked out really well. This is essentially a business hotel so rooms are a little small. Top of an office block it has a vast atrium that makes the place a bit soulless but the...

The hotel is on the east side of Shinagawa station, much further from the train gates. The lobby is on the 26th level of an office block. Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.
