I stayed here one week for business and there's not a single thing I can complain of. Clean, quiet, great service, charming. Try the Japanese breakfast in the room. There is also a Japanese garden where you can go for a walk, a convenience store and a small gym.

The hotel was great overall; the room was fairly large for Japanese standards. It was also fairly clean though it did feel somewhat dated and soon in need of renovations across its amenities and styling. Having said that, it is the hotel's location that makes it an absolute winner. Only 5 minutes walk from Shinagawa station, navigating to the city...

I selected this hotel for a few reasons: the Airport Friendly Limousine has a direct stop here from Narita Airport, they actually have a King Size bed for the 4 of us (2 adults+2 toddlers), and it's close proximity (a 5 minute walk or there is a free shuttle) to Shinagawa Train Station. There are shops and restaurants in the...

Wonderful view from balcony, helpful staff, a 7/11 convenience store within the hotel, AND an airport shuttle service + free bus to Shinagawa Station even though it is only a five minute walk away. Our family of four were amazed by the quality of service and welcoming nature of the staff. All of our queries were promptly answered by the...

Not recommended to visitors who bring heavy bags by walking.

Very good medium/ high priced hotel. Rooms are decent sized ( not often the case in Tokyo, even in top class hotels) Small balconies over a Japanese garden : delightful Breakfast buffet is opulent Conveniently close to two majors train and underground stations: takanawa and shinagawa

I loved the room and hotel's asthenic. It's only a block away from the Shinagawa station. There are closer hotels but for the price and quality (my assessment based on reading other's reviews and pictures) this appeared to be the best deal. I also liked the fact that they have an ATM machine in their lobby and a 7-11 on...

Tokyo Grand Prince Hotel is so big, the front office directly give me the hotel map when we checked in. There were 2 restaurant choice for breakfast. I forgot the other one, but we choose marmolada restaurant because they serve international buffet menus. Unfortunately we have to queu before to be seated at the place they choose for us, so...

Stayed there for 3days. The hotel staff were friendly & accomodating, the rooms were clean, the bed & pillows were so soft & comfy, restrooms were clean complete with toiletries. There were 3 choices of the restaurants where we had breakfast. The buffet area was big, the food were delicious & had many choices. The location was nearby a train...

Staying in Shinagawa / Gotanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Shinagawa / Gotanda
In Shinagawa, an office district shares space with luxury residential buildings and the scene is constantly changing with rapid development. Ikedayama park and Togoshi park are great places to see beautiful traditional Japanese gardens with ponds, as well as enjoy the changing seasons. Shinagawa was a post and a port town during the Edo era and the lavish old Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples at Shinagawa and Ebara are very popular. It's a great place to get in touch with the old Edo atmosphere on a pleasure boat cruising along the canal. The neighboring area around Gotanda station is a study in modern contrasts filled with unique restaurants and a lively nightlife.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The New (Shin) Takanawa Prince Hotel was designed by Togo Murano, one of Japan's leading architects. Every one of his design concepts from the exterior of the grand banquet halls to the restaurant interiors to the handpicked furnishings all harmonize beautifully, despite their different functions. This is the largest hotel in the Takanawa complex and it is a monument to individuality, décor and functionality. Like its other two counterparts, the New Takanawa Prince sits majestically on the beautifully landscaped grounds of a 10-acre Japanese garden. ... more   less
